Getting closer
Arriving at the cinema, Felix let Jisung choose the film, which turned out to be a big mistake in retrospect.
Since he hadn't really listened to which movie the other had chosen, he realized too late that it was a horror movie.
And if Felix couldn't do one thing, it was to watch horror movies.
Pretty much at the beginning of the film, he had reached for Jisung's hand and clung to it. This helped a bit, but it still couldn't really distract him from what's happening on the screen.
During the particularly bad scenes, the blonde pinched his eyes, but he could still hear the noises. And he didn't want to be a coward either.
After one of these scenes, he peered over to Jisung, only to find out that he looked at him amused.
"Well, Mr. Black belt? Scared?" the black-haired whispered with a grin, whereupon he reaped a soft punch from Felix.
"Dumbass!"
Quietly laughing, Jisung gently stroked Felix's hand with his thumb.
"Everything will be fine."
Of course it didn't. After all, it was a horror movie. Almost towards the end of the film, Felix had crouched in his seat and was tempted to just put his head on his knees and cover his ears.
A moment later, without knowing exactly how he got there, he sat on Jisung's lap and hugged him.
"I'll take care of you," he whispered with a grin and gently stroked Felix's back.
In the particularly terrible final scene, Felix buried his face in Jisung's crook of the neck and hummed quietly.
"Baby, it's over!"
At first, Felix didn't realize at all that the credits were running and the light in the hall had turned on again.
He looked at Jisung with big eyes. Who stroke over his back again.
"Come on, let's go out. And maybe eat something if you think your stomach can handle it," he said laughing and carefully pushed Felix down.
Felix got up with shaky legs, but couldn't say whether it was due to the film or to Jisung's closeness .
In his opinion, both would be justified reasons.
Finally out, Felix took a deep breath. The cool evening air did good and drove away the creepy memories of the movie.
Jisung ran next to him and held his hand.
"Please never drag me into such a horror flick again!" Felix said somewhat tormented as he slowly walked towards his favorite restaurant.
"But I could hug you again if it gets too scary," Jisung suggested with a grin.
"You can also hug me without the horror movie," Felix muttered halfway seriously.
Finally arrived at the restaurant, Felix picked out a secluded table where they had at least some privacy.
"True talk time, one question, one answer. What do you think about it?" Felix asked. He slowly wanted to know more about Jisung, but didn't really know how to do it.
To his surprise, the black-haired nodded. "But I start."
"Come on then, ask your question."
"Are you into men?"
"I thought that was obvious..." said the blonde with a grin. "Yes, I am. And you?"
Embarrassed, Jisung played with the glass that stood on the table in front of him.
"I don't know to be honest."
Felix raised his eyebrows, but said nothing as the waitress came and brought the food.
The food tasted delicious, but Jisung preferred it when Felix cooked.
He kept peeking over to him. He had a question burning, but wasn't sure if he should ask it.
"Come on, ask the question."
"Do you have anything going on with Chan?" Jisung poked in his food and did not dare to look up.
Finally, he heard Felix's quiet laughter and carefully raised his gaze.
"With Chan? No. He is my best friend since I can remember and the best hyung you can imagine. But really not my type to fall in love with."
Relieved, the black-haired exhaled. He had held his breath without noticing it, but didn't know exactly why himself.
"Ji, you don't have to answer my question, but I would still like to ask it."
Felix looked over to the other for a moment and then kept talking.
"What happened to your mum?"
Jisung looked up in surprise.
"She died in a car accident..." he muttered. Another driver had driven drunk and got into oncoming traffic. Frontally into our car. My mum and the other driver were dead immediately... I think I was in a coma for almost a month, but got away quite unscathed. Apart from the psychological wounds..."
Felix swallowed hard, frightened his hand and grabbed Jisungs hand.
"I'm incredibly sorry, Ji..."
"I don't even know where her grave is... My father didn't want me to go to the funeral. He says it was my fault."
Felix Immediately got up, ran around the table and wrapped his arms around him.
"We'll find out where her grave is. And then you can say goodbye to her!" Felix promised.
With tears in his eyes, the black-haired nodded and pressed Felix against him for a moment.
Finally, the blonde got up and sat back on his chair.
"Do we still want to order dessert? There's really good cheesecake here," Felix said with a smile. He really wanted to see the glow in Jisung's eyes again after he was to blame for tears in them.
"I thought it was my turn with a question," with a crooked smile he wiped tears out of his eyes. "Yes, we want dessert!"
Felix smiled and gave the waitress a signal.
Finally, a piece of lemon cheesecake stood in front of Jisung, while Felix had chosen chocolate cake.
"Why did you take me in," Jisung finally asked after thinking for a while about what he wanted to ask next.
Felix had to smile involuntarily. He had asked himself the question again and again in recent days, but had also come to the same conclusion again and again.
"Because you needed help! You looked so lost in the forest and were so scared. No one should have to sleep in the forest. For whatever reason."
"Hmm... Thank you Lix..!" Jisung muttered.
"Which brings me to my next question. Why were you in the forest? Without a tent or anything else?"
Jisung took a deep breath and looked at Felix.
"Because I ran away from my father. The sprain on the arm? That was him... I don't think much would have been missing and my arm would have been broken. After that, he sent me to my room. I mean it was bad before, but this time I could see that he was about to go further than just hit me... and even though my life was quite terrible for a long time, I still wanted to live. So I waited until he fell asleep, climbed out of the window and ran off."
Felix starts the black-haired with wide open eyes. He didn't have the slightest idea what to say.
"Thank God I found you..." he finally murmured.
After that, they both remained silent and ate the cake. The waitress came with the bill at some point and Felix paid.
When they finally stood in front of the restaurant, Felix took a deep breath again and pulled Jisung close to himself.
"I'm so damn pleased that I found you! Who knows what else would have happened to you..." he muttered and gently pressed his lips against Jisung's temple.
"I'm also glad you found me," he whispered quietly.
"Do we want to go for a walk on the Han River before we go home?" Felix asked as he finally broke away from Jisung.
The night was starry and not too cold at the beginning of September.
"Gladly"
Felix grabbed the hand of the other and together they walked along the riverbank.
"Lix, may I ask you something else?"
"Of course, that was the point of the matter."
"Have you ever had a real relationship? So really right?"
Felix shook his head.
"Not really. In high school, I noticed that boys attract me much more than girls. But I was at a very conservative school and unfortunately it was very homophobic there. I met someone I liked last year and we were together for a while, but in the end we were still children."
"You don't have to ask at all. My experience in the field is zero," Jisung muttered. "I was always just the strange outsider who is constantly frightened when someone came too close to him..."
Felix gently pressed his hand.
"I don't find you strange."
They walked side by side in silence for a while.
"Actually, I would like to take you to one of the fancy bars, you are just too cute if you drank, but I have to work tomorrow... We should slowly drive home..." Felix finally said and you could clearly hear that he regretted it.
"We can come back another time," Jisung suggested with a smile.
Back at the car, Felix rubbed his eyes tired. It was really time to go to bed.
Jisung sat next to him, held Felix's hand firmly in his and had already closed his eyes.
When they got home, Felix thought about carrying him into the house, but then decided against it.
"Hey sleepyhead, wake up. We are at home," he gently stroked the cheek of the black-haired man.
Tired, he opened his eyes a gap wide.
"At least get out of the car. I'll carry you into the house."
Felix was the first to get out, went to the front door and opened it.
Back at the car, he lifted Jisung on his arm and carried him into the house.
"But you have to go upstairs yourself Ji. I don't feel like falling down the stairs with you."
Tired grumbling, he took off his shoes and stomped up.
Felix locked the car and the front door and then followed him with a smile.
In the bedroom, Jisung had simply dropped on the bed completely dressed and seems to sleep again.
Shaking his head, Felix started taking off his pants. This was slowly becoming a habit.
"Ji, sit down at least briefly so that I can take off your shirt."
Again grumbling, the other followed the request and sat down for a moment.
With a little effort, Felix managed to take off his shirt and the tight T-shirt.
Seconds later, Jisung lay back on the bed and tried to find a comfortable position.
"Lix cuddle!" he finally demanded.
But Felix had already disappeared in the bathroom to wash off the makeup and brush his teeth.
Grinning, he came back into the bedroom and held Jisung his toothbrush.
"Come on, brush your teeth. Then I'll come cuddle too."
Grumbling, Jisung took the toothbrush and followed Felix into the bathroom.
After brushing his teeth and a quick wash, he immediately lay back in bed waiting for Felix.
The blonde wasn't long in coming.
He went to the closet to get out a cozy T-shirt to sleep.
"Ji, would you also like a T-shirt to sleep?"
"No!"
Shrugging shoulders, Felix closed the cupboard door and decided to sleep himself without a T-shirt too, as he usually did anyway.
He had only started wearing T-shirts at night since Jisung slept in his bed.
Tired, he fell into bed. Before he knew it, Jisung had cuddled up to him and fell asleep almost immediately.
"Sleep well," Felix whispered quietly and closed his eyes.
