"No!" I shouted pulling my hand back leaving everyone in shock.

"Uncle, I hope you are not willing to get engaged with Ahaan, it's just about the ring so why not in the right hand's finger? Let left hand be saved for Ahana bhabhi. " He said winking. Who the hell invited him?

"Wow! You here that too before my honeymoon! I almost thought you will end up getting late till then." I scared him with looks.

"I'm so sorry! But you were the one in a hurry." He complained.

"Well, let's keep your discussion for sometime later, we need to finish up with the rituals." Ruman bhai interrupted bringing me back to reality. Just a second of thought frowned their faces, what if I shift back from my words now?

I simply nodded to Ruman bhai's words and gave my hand to Ahana's Chachu, he slipped the ring and completed the ritual.

"Now you are officially ours!" He said proudly. I looked at the ring and then to Dad, his smiling face answered all the questions. I guess, this is what destiny wants.

"Ahaan, where is your cell phone?" Mom asked as she came to the gent's section.

"It's with Rudeeha. Why? What happen?" I questioned her back.

"Aksa wants to talk to you. I hope you remember you have a sister too." She scolded and that gave my mind the sudden realisation of Aksa's anger.

'I'll just get my phone back." I pecked her cheek to calm her down and ran to Rudeeha.

I took back my phone and dialed my sister Aksa's number. She wasn't picking up. Why do these people keep cellphones when they can't keep a track of them? Can't they simply walk around asking for letters through pigeons?

"Ahaan, where is your assistant?" Ruman bhai appeared from nowhere. Wow, and now of all people to ruin my mood, even that idiot Maya is not here.

"She is on leave," I replied and felt her need like anything.

I was unsure of anything even after getting engaged and so I decided to talk it out! I had to, else it was going to eat me up all night.

That's it! I'm going to speak about this to Ahana, she is my childhood friend, she'll understand I guess.

"Bhai, have you seen Humairah Bhabhi?" I asked Ruman bhai trying to excuse.

"Yeah, she is with Ahana and family." He replied and I simply nodded.

Ravish bhai kept his hand on my back, "Focus on your girl, at least let mine rest now."

I rolled my eyes before walking away as they all continued to giggle.

I took up my cell phone and entered the lady's side like a lion and seconds later turned into a puppy on seeing the elder ladies being so stubborn to not even allowing me in! This is unfair.

I mean... what the! Now I can't even speak to my fiancé?

"Stop being so desperate. It's just a matter of a couple of weeks jiju." Afreen taunted and I gave her a frowned face.

"Madeeha Bhabhi..."
" I'm sorry but I'm helpless." She didn't even allow me to complete it. Witch!😑

"Bhabhi please." I made the best puppy face I could, seeing Humairah Bhabhi.

"Sorry, Devarji." And the ladies laughed again.

"That's it! I have to speak to Ahana now and I don't know anything!" I shouted with my puppy face turning to bulldogs and rushed inside her room.

"Aana!" I shouted slamming the door open. Oh My Allah! My jaw dropped to floor seeing that elegant beauty in front of me. She looks so gorgeous and...

"When are you planning to learn my name? It's Ahana, not Aana!" She scared me with her voice. Can't a simple, innocent boy at least try to act rudely? I sighed.

"Whatever! We are going for a drive" I blurted trying to take my eyes off her.

"What?" She said scared and her cell phone slipped down her hand.

"Yes. Only if you wish." I added getting nervous.

"How on the heaven this ugly duckling turned into such a beautiful swan." I thought.

"Stop ogling and do your business!" My brain mocked.

"So? Are you coming?" I asked again.

"Only if Chachi agrees." She answered and I realized what big of a mess I just created outside.

"You mean to say I need to convince Chachi?" I asked rubbing my neck.

"Unm, I guess." She replied and the ladies rushed into the room.

"What? Drive? Are you serious? You guys just got engaged and..."

"Only if you return in an hour." Mom said and I looked at her dumbfounded.

"Excuse me? Can you repeat it?" I teased her and she returned the favor.

"Your time starts now." She ordered.

"Now don't tell me to allow you to get ready again, because with or without makeup you look the same!" I taunted Aana... I mean Ahana and she simply left the room. I followed her and gripped her hand tightly.

Opening the car door in the most pleasant manner I could I asked her to sit in and she agreed.

After a few minutes of no words, I finally decided to break the silence.

"You look beautiful." I complimented.

"Really?" She questioned.

"You don't believe me?" I asked.

"Think twice, cause that would mean I look beautiful all-time." She said proudly.

"And how is that possible?" I asked confused.

"A few minutes back, you were the one saying, doesn't matter how you dress, you always look the same?" She imitated me and I felt like killing myself for those words.

"In that case, either of one was a lie," I said in my defense and she frowned.

"Anyways, I wanted to talk to you about something serious." I finally got back on track.

"What is it? And even I wanted to talk to you..." she stopped in between of her words and stared at the side mirror of the car.

"What happened? Everything okay?" I asked and she shouted,

"Stop the car!"

I pushed the brakes as fast as I could and saw something more than unusual.

"We need to leave the car as soon as possible." She said dragging me out.

"What's wrong?" I asked her and she kept quiet.

We took some steps away from the car and...

"Boom!"

The car was Burnt into pieces. But how is that possible. We both were thrown at a distance from the fire force and suddenly I saw some people running towards us with a sword in their hands. Really? Sword in this modern world! Yeah right, royal people and stuff.

"Aana..." I was about to speak when somebody pressed a scented handkerchief on to my nose. I guess I inhaled some chloroform and fainted a few seconds later.
