31. Written in blood!

To be up everyday and feel the smile on my face because of real happiness was a blissful feeling and being around Ahaan to share it with was another cherry on top of my ice cream cake. Samar was still in a coma, it had been almost 2 weeks. Humair would hardly visit me, rather he spent time trying to help Samar get back her consciousness. I don't know what had went wrong in their story but I did know if they had a happy ending, that story would be really worth telling. In the past two weeks a lot had happened. The royals had arranged for a press conference where they had announced my wedding with Ahaan. I was still his bodyguard yet I was supposed to be a little girlish this time. Madeeha had been busy with her kids while Ruman had been on tour due to foreign aligns. Ravish and Humairah were busy in planning the wedding and the elders were all set with the dates finalized.

Ahaan was a little busy too. He was usually in Zohrab and I accompanied him as his secretory. He was always a professional when it came to work and would never fool around. I mean almost never, after all it's in his written in blood that he is born to trouble me.

"What are you calculating madam?" He asked.
"Your mother asked me to stop working until marriage. She said it's high time I begin to understand I'm a girl. Do you know what she means?" I questioned back as he took a seat beside me. We were in the royal court of Zohrab. He was still just the crown prince, yet he was more responsible now.
"Of course. Who wouldn't know?" He laughed.
"What?" I turned to face him. He glared into my eyes smirking all the way. He slowly lifted my chin and gazed at my lips.
"What are you doing?" I asked as he matched my eyes again. He giggled softly before leaning closer to my lips. His scent sure was taking my mind into some other world but my instincts were all in his favor. Yet as he leaned further I got too scared and punched him right into his face.
"Shit!" I screamed as the other bodyguards came rushing in.
"I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to..." I kept yelling while his not so surprised face began to let his nose bleed.
"What happened?" A general asked.
"Nothing, you may go." Ahaan told them and they followed the command.
"I'm really sorry. I seriously didn't mean to. I just got a little..." I almost cried trying to control the blood.
He used his handkerchief to stop the blood and turned away from me. He was angry and I could bet I was in great trouble.
"I'm really sorry Ahaan. It really was a mistake." I said hugging him from behind. He turned back towards me while his face burned in anger. A tear drop slowly flowed out of my eye as he stared at my face with his rage full eyes.
"I...I.." I tried to speak when all of a sudden he burst into fits of laughter. I watched him make fun of me as I almost died with shock.
"What the?" I asked.
"This is what I'm talking about." He said between his laugh.
"You're kidding me? You almost killed me with that look!" I yelled.
"I sure did. But you were supposed to die when I tried to kiss you and you should have given in, or should have pushed me away, rather than punching me. This is what mother wanted you to work on." He said squeezing my cheeks.
"What do you mean? I was trying to protect myself." I clarified.
"From your own fiance? From a prince? From your boyfriend? I never tried to get close to you physically not because I don't find you attractive but because I think you will kill me. The first time I kissed you, it was in the hospital because I knew I might end up with a few fractured bones." He chuckled.
"I hate you for saying that!" I pouted.
"Well, but you sure did attack me today, didn't you?" He smiled showing me evidence of my crime.
"So you are telling me that I'm too tough for a girl? And that I need to soften up and dress more like girls to be your wife?" I asked.
Ahaan smiled but never answered. He took a step closer and slowly removed the hairpin from my hair bun releasing all the hair.
"This is enough." He said before walking away.
I was stunned. And I was stunned for a really long time. I couldn't figure out what was going on in his mind. Was he teasing me or was he being serious? Was I really so not approachable that my own fiance had to worry about kissing me? Whatever it was, I surely knew, I was right about him. It was written in blood that he was born to trouble me.

"Come on Miss. Fighter, we have to return home." He said walking ahead of me.

We got back home after travelling for 2 hours. Ahaan was busy with the military general discussing some affairs while I was busy pondering over my life and me being a girl. Ahaan was the kind of boy who liked to hit on a lot of girls but the one who took away his heart was Sufiya. She was the most beautiful girl a guy could dream off, she had grace and a great poise. Her voice was a bit rough but still her accent made it melodious. Compared to her I was nothing. I was tom boyish, I had a stiff body and posture, my voice sure was soft but I had used it in the battle field to scare enemies, how was it ever going to be sweet enough to call someone with love?
Upon returning home I found out we were to get married in a week, which meant I was not allowed to go out anymore because I needed to learn the manners of being the wife of a crowned prince. Manners were not my issue, I would have nailed them in just the first attempt, my issue was being his wife. Being good enough for him.
