I woke up when Raphial grabbed my arm and shook me awake. But when I woke up I was in the back seat of a nice new big truck and in my home town parked outside a big house that was for sale. When I seen my dad I was shocked he was all cleaned up. His hair was done all up nice, he was wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans, and boots. Raphial was wearing was wearing dark blue jeans, black shirt, and black shoes. I was wearing a cute black shirt, blue jeans, and cute boots. I glance over at Raphial who was laughing at my reaction.

"What I tried waking you up you weren't budging." He teased pushing me up I unbuckled myself and jumped out I recognized it wasn't to far from were my mom lived. In fact I used to jog down this road every morning. I always used to stop in front of this house it was so beautiful. I turned to my dad.

"I love it." I said hugging him.

"Good." He said handing me a new phone and camera. I took them out.

"Sweet we totally have to get a picture since it's our new home." I said, he smiled.

"Anything you want sweetie." My father said, handing me boxes. I took it and followed him up to the door. He unlocked the door and opened it. It was so dark. Luckily my dad found the light switch. As soon as the light came on I seen something go running I screamed. My dad pushed me behind him. He walked in to investigate. I waited silently by the door. When he came back and motioned me to come in.

"What is it?" I asked, he smiled.

"It's a raccoon. Must have been living here since it's abandoned." He said, I put the box down and followed him. He walked, through a huge dining room everything was covered in dust. I could tell no ones lived here for years. When he walked down a hall into one of the back rooms. The room was empty but there was a big raccoon in the corner hissing. I slowly walked forward talking softly trying to coax it over.

"Come on we're not going to hurt you." I said, as it walked over I petted its head and it nuzzled against my hand. Then I picked it up and took it outside so it could be free. After I let it go. It ran into the woods and I walked back inside.

"You do have a way with animals." Raphial asked while putting stuff in the house.

"I used to go out in the woods when I was a kid and play with the wild animals. I had a very over active imagination as a kid since I was never allowed to play with anyone or have friends. Plus it helped me cope when my mom would cut my wings off and would beat me when she was drunk." I said, remembering my painful childhood. Both of them just stared at me in silence. Raphial walked over. He pulled me up into his arms.

"You don't have to remember it if you don't want to. Don't picture it. It'll be okay from now on you'll never have to go back to her. Me and your father are going to take care of you. We're going to make you forget about your terrible childhood and give you all new memories and a bright future. We're not going to let anyone take you or harm you ever again. Just remember that I love you more then anything else in this world your my best friend and nothing can change how I feel about you. Your father loves you, treasures you, treats you like a queen, and his whole world revolves around you. Nothing can change that. So don't get upset." He said, putting his head on my shoulder and held me close. I wrapped my hands around his waist. He rubbed my back to soothe me.

"I know and I appreciate it. I want you to know how much it means to me. I really do love you like a brother. You were my first love and I know I can't change that. But daddy will always be my king no one can replace him in my heart just like no one can replace you even though I know there is already someone that has your heart that's why I can never tell you I truly love you because you never really loved me. Life is cruel like that. You ended up saving me but when I looked in your eyes I seen I wasn't the woman in your future but you already knew that, that's why you cheated on me. I don't want to get in the way you deserve to be happy that's all I want. Even if its not with me and I want you to know that. I love you daddy more than anything you were there supporting me and encouraging me to do my best. You taught me how to be strong but also kind. You raised me up when I had nothing and made me feel like I could take on the world. I couldn't have asked for a better father." I said, it was the first time I ever told Raphial I loved him. It felt like someone just shot me in the chest. He squeezed me I could feel something wet touch my shoulder. But when I tried to look him he pushed my face into his chest. I heard him I recognized he was crying. I can't believe I made him cry. I never seen him shed a tear for anything.

"Mythical beings like us have a strong connection with nature. So animals can understand us and our feeling they have a strong bond and loyalty to us. So in a way they help us." Father smiled, and stood up. Then he hugged both of us. He was able to wrap his around both of us as he pulled us into a bear hug almost lifting both of us off the ground. I could barely breathe. I had a hard time catching my breath when he put us down.

"Easy Daddy your stronger than you think." I said, pulling away. He laughed.

Then we carried everything in. I started sweeping while Raphial cleaned the dust and dirt off the walls. While my dad cleaned the ceilings. The whole house was caked with dust and dirt. So it needed a lot of tlc. We even found rooms where people had broken in and where staying there because there was trash and we even found a sleeping bag and a journal.

"No wonder I got such a deal on the house." My dad said rubbing his temple.

"It's ok we'll just have to get the windows fixed and get a security system." Raphial said, looking at my dad.

"I know but they should have at least said something." My dad said, angrily. We burned the trash and sleeping bag in a burning pit Raphial and dad made in the back yard. But I kept the journal. I figured it might have important information in it. So I put it up for safe keeping. We didn't stop cleaning till it was all cleaned up. Then we started painting the rooms. Me and Raphial ended getting into a paint war and ended up painting each other instead of the wall. But we still got it done. Then we started bringing in all new furniture. We started setting up and decorating each room. We left everything the way it was before just updated. It looked really good when we were done. But it was so exhausting. I just took a shower and fell asleep when we were done.
