Fluff for Fluff's Sake [Sleepover]

The akuma attack lasted no more than an hour. It seemed this time it was a disgruntled singer who couldn't get the right casting for her music video. The Akuma was an interesting one to say the least, everything they said had to rhyme, which was fine for Adrien but Marinette ... well ... It took her a while to get into the swing of it.

They ended up handcuffed together and dancing, just another quality showing to Paris how perfectly in sync the heroic duo were. They danced together like pro's even having the news camera's suggest they take part in the next 'Dancing with the Stars'. Chat, of course, signed himself up, whilst Ladybug politely declined.

They sat lying on the sofa, Marinette between Adrien's legs, as she played with his Miraculous. Twisting and spinning it around his finger. She loved having the warmth of his body behind her, especially after going a few weeks without him.

"So, tell me Ms. Dupain-Cheng, what did you do whilst I was away so you didn't miss me too much?" She smiled knowing that everything she had tried to do she'd ended up crying herself to sleep when she got home, missing him more than she ever thought possible.

She called herself clingy, Avery told her she was 'in love'.

"I went out with Avery and her friends a couple of times. They're a fun bunch." She felt Adrien stiffen behind her. She turned her head to look up at him. "Don't be like that Kitten, you're the only one for me." Stretching her neck a little further, she kissed under his chin.

He smiled, but she knew it was fake. One thing she noticed with Adrien was he never got jealous, he got worried. So going out with Avery and her friends wouldn't make Adrien green with jealousy, not at all. She could go out with who she wanted, dance with who she wanted, but he would always worry she wouldn't come back. Like he wasn't good enough, which really was insanely ridiculous. She loved every tiny speckle of him, and as soon as he said it first she would jump and say it back.

"Oh, I forgot," she sprung out of his lap, stumbled over the edge of the sofa and kicked the coffee table. "Ouch!" She exclaimed, grabbing her foot and jumping around.

"The hero of Paris everyone!" Adrien announced, pretending to clap her and sound out cheers. She grabbed a cushion from her bed and launched it at him, hitting him unsuspectedly square in the face.

"With a killer shot." She tagged on.

He started laughing, launching the cushion back towards her as she fumbled around looking for something.

She'd been out shopping with Alya and they'd picked up a magazine with a '21 questions to ask your lover' quiz. Well who was she to say no to that?

"Ah ha!" She shouted out. Grabbing the magazine and launching herself back into Adrien's lap.

He grabbed hold of her tightly around the waist as the couch creaked under their combined weight, both just waiting to see if they dropped. They held their breath, before beginning a slow count backwards from ten. Finally, they reached zero and breathed out noisily.

Couch 2 - Marinette and Adrien 1

The comeback had finally begun.

"So, I was out with Alya and we saw this magazine. There's a quiz in there, and she said she does a lot of them with Nino so I thought maybe we could do one together. You know, to get to know each other more." Marinette rambled.

"I don't know if that's a good idea." Adrien replied, wrapping his arms around Marinette to hold the magazine and open it up. He rested his chin on her shoulder and she almost fainted from being around his smell. She really could eat him.

"Why not? This is what you're meant to do at sleepovers." She sulked, giving him a really good try at a puppy pout.

"The reasons are quite simple really, I don't want you to dump me."

"Adrien, if I wanted to dump you I would have done it the first time I smelt your feet, because believe me nothing should smell that bad."

"You know it's the -"

"Don't you dare blame Plagg! You didn't even have him the first time you came around here."

Adrien pouted his lips, Marinette turning her head and giving them a quick peck with her own. Just fluttering over them enough to turn his pout to his wonderful lopsided smile.

"Come on, Chaton, do this with me. Please." She begged, knowing full well he'd agree.

"Fine, open it up."

Marinette turned to the page, which she'd conveniently folded down, and started reading the questions.

"Okay, Mr Agreste, what's the weirdest dream you've ever had?"

Adrien thought for a moment, and Marinette couldn't help but giggle at Adrien's thinking face. As cute as Adrien was, his thinking face left a lot to be desired. His scrunched nose and eyebrows, plus the pout of his lips had him looking like Gordon Ramsay.

"Stop laughing at me." He said, leaning back against the couch cushions.

"I'm not laughing, I'm smiling. You look adorable at the moment."

"Whatever. So weirdest dream? Oh I know, I was dressed as a black cat in this super tight, super leather with a bell, running around defeating super villains with a big ass bug. No, wait, that's my real life."

She smacked him on the bicep as he pulled her back to place a delicate kiss on the neck. A fluttering taking over her stomach.

"Keep that up superhero, and we'll be going straight to bed."

"That's my plan, M'Lady." His voice was deep and sultry, and she couldn't help but wiggle back into him a little absorbing the rest of his warmth.

"Shush, Chaton, I've been excited about this for a week."

"Fine, you answer the next question. What's your favourite movie to watch over and over again?"

"Um - oh, I know. The Proposal. There's something so romantic about it, and it's funny. Plus there's Ryan Reynolds in it, so you can't really go wrong."

"Ryan Reynolds? Really? I suppose he's funny, like someone else you know."

Oh, so that's how he wanted to play it. Game on them.

"Of course. I always compare him to Nino."

As soon as the words left Marinette's mouth she knew it would push Adrien over the edge. A growl left his throat as the magazine was ripped from her hands and thrown across the room. Adrien's fingers digging into her ribs moving around and tickling her to the point of tears. Laughing, she completely missed their change in position, Adrien picking her up and taking her over to the bed.

"You are being rude tonight, M'Lady. Is this payback for leaving you?" He lay her on the bed, climbing on and tickling her again. Her legs kicked around as he continued tickling her, her body thrashing as she tried to escape his arms.

"Adrien, stop, please." She squealed, slightly worried the neighbours would wonder what was happening and call the police or something.

"I'm quite sure you said the opposite last time, Bugaboo."

"Adrien, I'll do anything. Just stop!"

He pulled his hands away, and she waited for the next assault, only for it not to come. She sat up, leaning on her elbows as she looked at the Cheshire Cat smile of her boyfriend.

"Don't you dare!"

"You said you'd do anything," he wiggled his eyebrows at her, moving himself around the bed.

"I swear to God, you do that, you're sleeping on the couch."

"I don't know what you're on about." He leant back on his forearms, eyes firmly placed on hers as he let out a contented 'awww' and flung his feet up onto the bed, deliberately crossing one over the other.

"Don't, Adrien."

"Don't what? I'm just resting my feet." He lifted his foot and shook it around in front of her face, breaking into laughter as he did so.

She smacked his foot, before diving onto him. Pressing her body on top of his, straddling him and pinning his hands above his head.

"I could break out of this, you know." He said.

"You could, but you won't."

"Of course not. This is better than my fantasies."

Sliding her hands down his arms, she felt her heart rate pick up speed, just like it did everytime they were in this position. Well, not exactly thisposition, but they had been in some that were similar.

Marinette continued trailing her hands down his body, sitting up in her straddle and resting her hands on his hips. Her legs gripped either side of him, the warmth of his body pulsating into hers as they sat and stared at each other.

He reached up stroking a hair and placing it behind her ear, obviously it had become freed from their tousle earlier. Her cheeks glowing a wonderful shade of pink.

"You're beautiful." His words were as smooth as honey, and sweet enough to make her crave more. Leaning forward, she placed her lips against his. Lips soft and gentle as they said the words neither dare speak.

Adrien ran his hands from her hips up her back, before resting on her hair, pulling her body tighter into his. She was dizzy of lust and love, wanting nothing more than to stay attached to this man beneath her. Closing her eyes, she got lost in a dream world of her and Adrien, of a world full of love and romance, one where they were together forever. Every slight change of pressure on her lips pulled her deeper into his body. Almost trying to make them one.

She wanted more, she craved it. Opening her mouth she slipped her tongue across his bottom lip, making that first move to change the direction of their evening. No longer playful, but meaningful and passionate.

Before her mind could fully comprehend what was happening, he flipped them over, positioning himself on top whilst his lips took charge, dominating her the way she adored.

Breaking away from her, she struggled to open her eyes. Too drunk on their last kiss and the change of position. Too drunk on him.

Finally, she opened her eyes and looked at him, studying every little flick in his eyes. The green emeralds made imperfect by the slight speckles of yellow, the look only making him more alluring.

"Marinette -" his voice was husky, adding to the knot in the pit of her stomach, and the expansion of her ever growing heart.

"I know," she whispered back, stroking his cowlick back to where it belonged.

"I love you." He whispered, unleashing the butterflies in her stomach in a wild hurricane. The sudden jolt made her feel nauseous, but oh so wonderful. She'd been so desperate for him to say it. Desperate for him to feel this thing between them too. Whilst her stomach was an amusement park in itself, her heart was full and about to explode.

Adrien Agreste loved her.

The guy she was with loved her.

The most amazing guy she'd ever met loved her.

Coming back to Earth for her sudden euphoric trip to the moon, she could see the worry in his eyes, understanding that she'd lay staring at him for longer than she probably should have. Channelling her Ladybug strength she said the words she had wanted to for months. The most natural words in the world.

"I love you too."
