Through the Forest of Doubts
Zain ventured deep into the forest's danger zone, driven by his desperate need to find Zayra. As he pushed through the darkness and chill, he finally spotted her sitting by the river, trembling from both fear and cold. His heart ached seeing her so vulnerable.
The moment Zayra saw Zain, a wave of relief washed over her. She threw her arms around him, holding him tightly as if he was her lifeline. Zain, taken aback by the intensity of her embrace, felt his worry melt into a deep, tender concern.
When they finally pulled away from the hug, Zain's face was etched with both relief and worry. He noticed her shivering and quickly wrapped his jacket around her shoulders. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice tinged with desperation. "What are you doing here all alone? Do you know how terrified I was for you?"
Zayra looked up at him, her eyes reflecting a mixture of gratitude and fear. The forest around them seemed to fall away as their gaze met, the moment charged with the raw, unspoken emotions between them.
Zayra nodded and followed Zain through the forest until they stumbled upon a small, secluded cabin. Exhausted, she looked at Zain with pleading eyes. "I'm really tired of walking. Can we rest inside the cabin for a bit?"
Zain agreed without hesitation. "Alright, let's get inside." He checked to ensure the cabin was safe before they entered Inside. he gently cleared the table for Zayra. Before she sit down,His every action betraying his concern. he was about to sit on the floor but zayra reached out and held his hand "There's space on this table we can sit together".He nodded and sat beside her.
Breaking the silence, Zain said, his voice laced with worry, "Don't ever go into the forest alone. Actually, don't go anywhere alone. It's too dangerous. You have no idea how scared I was."
Zayra sighed, her voice tinged with sadness. "I have to go alone sometimes. I don't have anyone to always be with me."
Zain looked at her intently, his gaze soft but firm. "I'm always here for you. I want to be with you, to keep you safe."
Zayra felt a rush of warmth at his words. "But you don't trust me. You trust Arish, the liar. I never had any deal with him; he was the one with the deal."
Her voice softened further, "Zain, I trust you, but Arish is my cousin. I grew up with him, and his mother cared for me when my father was not around. I had no choice but to trust him. But now, seeing how you came out here for me, I realize how much you care. I'm sorry for not believing you before. It was just a misunderstanding."
Zain's expression softened with relief. "You chose him over me, but I told you he was lying. I'm glad you trust me now."
Zayra nodded, her eyes earnest. "I do, Zain. And I'm truly sorry. Thank you for coming after me."
As they sat together in the cabin, the night wrapped them in a quiet, intimate space. Feeling the warmth and security of Zain's presence, Zayra's exhaustion caught up with her. Resting her head on Zain's arm, she fell asleep. The night that started in fear ended in a gentle embrace of trust and newfound closeness.
