There was laughter surrounded in the air, which was very much familiar to me, ofcourse why won't I remember it?as if I could ever forget it. I run in the house oops! Sorry mansion while searching for the voice as the sound of that joyful laughter makes my day more and more brighter. I search and search but suddenly it stops and all my surroundings becomes blur and mist covers me and it becomes more and more darker. I try to search for a single source of light but I find none, suddenly I heard a harsh voice and I cannot pinpoint where is it coming from but suddenly I am yanked by someone and I fell on the ground and everything around me becomes clear and I see a horrific sight in front of me. I was about to scream , when suddenly believer starts playing in the back ground and I get confused, slowly I open my moist eyes and see that I am in my room and I was just dreaming again.

Oh God! and my alarm clock was ringing or should I say singing "BELIEVER"? What on earth exactly happened to my alarm clock? And when exactly did it started singing?I clearly remember that I had set my alarm clock on a normal tone,then how is it possible ? I clearly am hallucinating or is it the effect of overwork? that these things are happening to me
Ahhhhhhh!

By hearing my scream my cousin Mahi Di comes in my room.

"Why in the god's name are you screaming so early in the morning?"Mahi Di asked looking genuinely concerned.

"Actually I think my mind is playing games on me ." I said stressfully.Now Mahi Di was more confused

" why would you say that? " She asked me with a puzzled expression,rubbing my temples I informed her about the strange thing that happened just a few minutes ago.

" It's just that I clearly remember setting my alarm clock on a normal tone but today when I woke up my alarm clock was ringing oh! Sorry more specifically singing BELIEVER."

"Are you sure you didn't set the song" Mahi Di said looking utterly confused .

"Yep!I am pretty sure I didn't and I have never had such a problem with my memory ever and it's your mastery to forget things in everything except cooking thank goodness for that". I said without thinking.

And my sweet Mahi Di ...
Sweet ah !!no sassy, confused, angry bird,clumsy and the list goes on and on and atlast sweet Mahi Di took a whole 10 minutes to realise that I was insulting her memory.
And the count down begins now 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,and now comes the actual scream everyone brace yourselves for Mahisouras.

" How dare of you Sanvi Rai to speak to your elders like that? Are you even in your right mind to insult your elder sister like that? Oh holy mother of Jesus !what has the world turned into ............." and blah blah blah blah blah

As Mahi Di was busy cursing me oh! Silly me so sorry not cursing, going on and on about how world turned into and what had happened to me? and how I have committed a sin and how was my punishment going to be given in hell, while I completely zoned out in my own world and did I mention you all that Mahi was dramatic if not then she is the fourth best actress in our family.
After some time of me being in my open eyed sleep. My dearest elder sister Mahi noticed that she was actually preaching my books, alarm clock,sofa,bed,wall, curtains and all the other things in my room except me.

"Oh My God ! Where you even listening to me Sanu ? " Mahi Di asked glaring at me,it was not like it was going to have any effect on me,if I am being honest then her glare was like a baby glaring, which obviously can never have any effect on anyone. It was not like I was going to say her this,.... atleast not now.hmmm

"Actually Mahi Di I was listening to you very attentively but you know suddenly a thought crossed my mind that who is actually going to punish me Yamraj? Lucifer?Hades ?or somebody else." I said fully intended to confuse my almost every minute confused sister.
Believe me I was internally laughing like this was the biggest joke of the year,but externally I have actually mastered my emotions,due to... Let's leave that.

"Oh my god! you are absolutely right what are we going to do now" Mahi Di said totally frightened .I was like really surprised or more like dumbfounded by now.

"Mahi Di calm down I was just joking,why the hell are you so stressed about it ? Just calm down". I said to my sister who was looking like she was just one step behead of calling a priest or pandit to talk about my condition as if there was any to begin with ha!

"Oh lord!Sanu don't scare me like that" Mahi Di said clutching her head and I sat there gapping at her.

And suddenly my phone started to make it's presence known to me by ringing or more like the alarm in that I actually thought for a second that I forgot something very important then like seismic waves arising from my own thoughts I remembered that I had to go to my job. Like wow! Seriously Sanvi you forgot the most important thing?
Ahhhhhh!

"What happened?" Mahi Di asked.
"Work happened" I said getting up from my bed and running straight to my washroom to get ready.

" Wait !Sanu what do you want for breakfast?". Mahi Di asked.

"2 Toasts with butter and honey and a glass of lime juice please " I said as I was wearing my blue denim jeans and a full sleeved white shirt with black strips and my all time favourite and comfortable nike shoes, along with some hanging earrings and a bracelet along with my rings and my titan watch,after that I fastly braided my hair and applyed bb cream to my face,some mascara and applyed a cherry flavoured lipbalm, I was ready to go.

Grabbing my handbag, sunglasses and my doctor coat,I was completely ready.

Sitting at the dining table I ate my toast hastily and drank my juice. I muttered a bye to Mahi Di speedily opening the door of our apartment and went to the elevator and just guess how lucky I am ?the elevator was at the last floor and guess which floor is the last ? 25th floor and we stay at the 7th floor. Wow! Just how great right !! I knew god loves me so much, that's why he is making me get down these 7 floors , You know why? because he wants to keep me fit yep ,so that my already 50kg will reduce some more.

After finally stepping in my car I thought for a second wait did I introduced myself infront of all of you ok let's start

“My name is Sanvi Rai,I am from India and I am the princess of my family. My dad,mom and bhai are in India.My dadda is a business man a strict one but for his family a big softie,my mumma is a fashion designer and owns her own company 'Sara' .My bhai or brother handles dadda's

I am a "psychiatrist" and " writer" I have wrote many books, they have been very much popular and I am proud of myself. “

I reached my hospital building and I greeted Paul ( Security Guard) by wishing him good morning and rushed into the building,as I literally didn't have time to chat with him today ,after all i was going to break my own record of never coming late to office,I mean come on its been 4 years I have been working here and in these 4 years I was never late,I cannot believe myself right now.

As I was rushing to catch the elevator I bumped into something or more specifically someone,I quickly apologised and was about to go but that person caught my elbow and she started cursing me for god knows what reason.

"You idiot, don't you have eyes? you just stomped on my dress and it's dirty now ,do you even know how much it's worth is ?believe me it's worth is more than your paycheck".she said in an ugly voice which was awfully similar to a hyena.

Sanvi she is insulting you my conscience reminded me

Now who was she to say that about me and was she spying on me ? because other than that I cannot see how on earth she knew about my money and lastly her dress may be a bit costly but I am a famous Psychiatrist and writer so I do own a good amount to survive the rest of my life, and let's not talk about my family .

" Excuse me, Aunty h..." I was about to continue but this hyena stopped me by
her screeching.

" How dare you call me Aunty do you even know who am I ?" She asked egoistically.

Now I was genuinely concerned about this,
because no way in hell did I know this evil hyena,even after all this drama I was going to delete her from my memory, for sure but really just because she was a hyena in disguise as a human I cannot possibly know her.

"Hey , you mad girl,if you don't know me , then you should definitely go check your eyes and brain , you definitely need a psychiatrist".she said in the same screeching voice.

My conscience was laughing like we have a joker performing here, although it may be true, but was she kidding me?I mean me a psychiatrist should see a psychiatrist, wow! Phenomenal!!

" Look here mam, I am respecting you just because you are older than me,I didn't mean any insult in it and I definitely will say you that the both you suggested me, you are in urgent need of them." I said and turned towards the elevator,and I was about jump by happiness when my phone started ringing and when I took it out,my happiness was long lost as I was late for the first time in my whole working career.
Great,just great, shouldn't I get a Guinness for it?
Ughhhhhh!!
Oops did I scream in the main hall?

I just hastily dashed inside the elevator and just closed my eyes,after pressing my floor ofcourse I'm definitely not mad,I mean I cannot be mad when I'm a psychiatrist right .... Right?

I entered my floor the Psych ward and Clara (Receptionist) James (Ward Boy),Martin ( therapist),Nia ( psychologist) and all the others were looking at me as if they had found out a new branch in psychology.

" What happened? Why are you all looking at me like that? I am just late, nothing else," I said walking towards my cabin,but when was luck on my side? and then I say I am optimistic wow!

"No,no,no,no, you cannot escape Sanu,
You Sanvi Rai is late,I mean I thought you were going to take a sudden leave or something,but you I mean you are late".
Nia said in an over enthusiastic voice as if she was offered the best psychologist award of the year.

"Yeah! So what?I am a human, I am bound to make mistakes," I said looking as confident as ever, but I knew what was going to happen, karma does really comes back to you doesn't it?

"Oh! no, no,let's rephrase something, Only carless people come late to their jobs, If there is some problem they should be more careful and be here on time,but it's really okay for me as I have never been late, I know I am the best of course." Martin mimicked me and I do not sound like a chimpanzee.

And then they started telling all the things about what I said them on time management and efficient working and all, as if they were indirectly making fun of my tardiness,and I was like are they having free time?like the free lectures we get when the lecturer was absent,just as i thought this patients who were actually present during the whole conversation sat there looking like they were debating,if we need some professional help,and how they can escape from this horrible scene! Whereas my friends were still screaming unaffected by those bewildered stares, poor patients.

"Guys,guys patients you know we have patients here,so let's get to work,okkk". I said to my colleagues who were busy gossiping about me as if I was not present here at all.

"Yeah,but San don't forget you have to treat us lunch today ok, come on guys get to work," Clara said making me wonder why the hell would I treat them lunch? just because I came late,it was not like I won a million or something, shaking my head in disbelief,I looked around and saw that the patients were watching me in sympathizing manner,okk

I entered my cabin and talked to my patients,it was quite similar like most of the days and the day passed by a wink of my eye,in the afternoon I ate in my cabin as I had some chapters of my upcoming book which were to be completed,and also the reason may be me avoiding my details hungry gossipers of colleagues,no way in hell was I going to be a laughing stock anymore I disagree, even though I didn't wanted to,I still treated them and aren't they the humblest people who ordered the costliest dish on the menu, which they only order when someone was treating them.

As time went by I noticed that today there was a little free time which was very unusual, as I have a very large number of patients and then again today was the most wonderful day to begin with, sarcasm my friend. I was having quite a peaceful moment to myself then again,do you really get peace? The answer is ...

My phone started ringing and the caller name,made my day more brighter,
"Hi!, what happened?" I said to him.

"Hey!,I actually wanted some signatures on the important documents of you know the company related as it has been transferred to you after the" he said

"Yeah, yeah I get it ,so should I come now?".I asked him,I didn't really like to go there atleast not this week.

"Hey! I can sense it that you are thinking something else but I'm so sorry I can't take this document out in a cafe or restaurant and I am actually going to Italy in 3 hours before that if you could,you know" he hesitantly asked me.

I literally didn't wanted to go there but he is doing so much for me and the company I should atleast do this,with a sigh I said,

"Yeah! It's ok don't be sorry I will come in 1/2 an hour, sounds good?"

"Yes, thank you" he said and the call was dismissed.

I quickly packed my things, said Clara about my departure and I think she knew were or related to whom I was going because she just smiled a pitiful one, which I definitely didn't needed.

As I started my car I literally had thousands of different scenarios in my mind running around by the time I reached the building I came face to face with Kieron ( Security Chief of the company) and Noel and Kunal ( Bodyguards).They gave me a sad smile and a salute as a greeting as both Noel and Kunal were those types of people who had strict faces and didn't speak much. But Kieron came to me to ask about how am I ? I gave the same answer I give everyone I AM FINE, giving them a smile I entered the lavish company,I felt so proud of but the smiles and hugs I was getting was just to sympathize with me and I definitely didn't needed it.

As I entered the private elevator,I literally felt like crying,I couldn't handle this,but I am strong right, yes I can do this .

As I entered the 5th floor the CEO and MD's private floor I was met by Jake and I love this person because he doesn't give me a sympathetic smile rather he gave me a sweet smile, we shook hands and he started speaking animatedly about his new pet hamster.

"Jake it is definitely good to see you,but I really have a very important work with Mr, Anderson." I said with a smile.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry, I kinda forgot to escort you there". Jake said already pushing me towards Mr, Anderson's cabin.

" Hi!!how are you old man?" I said just to see his shocking face.

" You know you just .... Leave that, how are doing Sanvi? and please if you don't want to answer me it's ok, but don't lie". He said looking straight in my eyes.

Of course, he was lawyer and a very skilled human being, believe me he doesn't even need a lie detecting machine.

"You know about that" I plainly stated simply dismissing the topic.

Then we sat there in complete silence and I broke it by reminding him that he needed to catch his flight and he showed me the papers which after reading all the details carefully I signed it and took my leave from there, even if I didn't show it on my face I couldn't handle this,so I rushed out of the building and fled to my peaceful destination and I kind of forgot how late it was as my phone rang and Mahi Di was calling me .

"Sanvi , where on earth are you?do you even know that it is 10:00pm ? And I have called you like 25 times,I even called your hospital they said that you were out by there at 03:30 and the company at 04:40 pm. So where are you from 5hours? Are you safe? Did you get into an accident? That's why you should be careful,or are you kidnapped by someone? oh my." Mahi Di breathlessly questioned me.

"Mahi Di stop please,I am coming to the apartment don't worry,I am fine ok,take deep breaths and calm yourself." I said.

I drove my car, it was actually an hour journey and I was at our apartment at 11:05 and I was met with a fuming Mahi Di and a tired looking Anna ,I was in no mood to explain myself so I just walked towards my room when Mahi Di questioned me.

"Where were you Sanvi?"

"Please leave it, Mahi Di". I said in a desperate voice.

"You went there,didn't you?it's not good to stay there till night or more than an hour Sanu, even you know that". Mahi Di said in a gentle tone.

"I know, but I can't help it" .I said and this time I was not lying.

"I am going to sleep" .I announced before she could stop me to eat something and then sleep, I just went to my room, freshened up and changed myself in some pairs of my silk pajama shorts and shirt and took out the one thing in my closet that brings me joy and pain at the same time,after examining it I kept it inside and slept to atleast have some sweet memories enveloping me with its sweetness.
