How was a girl supposed to react after having her first kiss?

Josephine didn't count her kiss with Pansy as her first one, it was simply for fun. But with Theo. He was her first kiss and he probably had no idea.

Should he even be considered a first kiss even though it was in a game of spin the bottle?

It was better if he didn't know, she kept telling herself. He might have looked at her differently.

That night at the party, Josephine went back into her dorm and smiled, genuinely smiled for the first time in a while. She usually faked her smiles around people, or gave them some poor excuse of a half smile, but that kiss made her genuinely smile.

She was happy, she was finally living out her teenage years doing what teenagers were supposed to be doing. Partying, drinking, kissing, smoking. She was happy.

But how was she supposed to act now? How was she supposed to act around Theo? They did have a class together after all.

Would it be weird? Awkward?

She was definitely overthinking at that point.

Josephine and Theodore shared the class of Hisyory of Magic together, their final class of the day. She was headed there right now, it was her first day of classes since the party.

She hadn't seen him all weekend, according to Blaise he was with his family. She really wanted to see him again though.

When she walked into the classroom, he was already there, with an empty seat next to him. He looked at her as she walked through the door, before signaling with his eyes at the seat next to him, motioning for her to sit there.

Class hadn't begun yet, they still had a few minutes. Josephine sat at the seat next to Theo's, crossing her one leg over the other.

"Riddle" he said with a smirk on his face.

"Nott" she gave him a sweet smile, one of her real ones.

"Haven't seen you since the party"

"Yea, the party" she said almost as if she got flashbacks from that Friday night.

"We had fun didn't we?"

"Certainly did, before professor snape barged into the common room" she said as she chuckled lightly, causing him to do the same.

"Yea, ruined all the fun didn't he? Listen i wanted to ask-"

"No talking, class had started" Professor Flinch spoke, interrupting what Theo was saying.

He rolled his eyes in frustration as he sat back on his chair. Professor Flinch started talking about some powerful wizards that went down in history. Josephine wasn't fazed by his lesson, she was actually pretty bored.

Theodore leaned back more into the chair, crossing his arms over his chest and spreading his legs out. That caused one of his knees to touch with hers, just like her first day.

It seemed to be a habit, every day when they had that class together, Theodore always touched his knee up to hers. She found it cute, like really cute. She hadn't admitted it, but she had feelings for him.

A few minutes before class ended, Theodore slipped a small folded up piece of paper in front of her, she turned to look at him with her eyebrow slightly raised, before she turned back around and opened up the paper.

meet me at the astronomy tower, 10pm

She turned to look at him, almost asking him with her eyes what about, she had a small smile on her face that she was trying to hold back, she didn't want to look too excited. He just shrugged his shoulders pretending as if he didn't know.

When class finally ended Theo ran out, it almost seemed like he had somewhere to be? Josephine didn't question him on it, she was always taught when growing up to not ask things when you don't want the answer to them.

As she was walking back to her dorm, exhausted, she felt a familiar pair of hands wrap around her shoulders, she looked next to her and saw no one other than Blaise.

"If it isn't Zabini" She said as she jokingly rolled her eyes.

"If it isn't Riddle, you are aware that Adrian is looking at you as if he is about to come here and eat you alive right?" Blaise said in a serious tone.

Josephine looked back as she was walking with Blaise's arm around her shoulder and locked eyes with Adrian, who was in fact looking at her as if he wanted to eat her alive. She gave him a small smile before turning back around.

"I assume that's why you wrapped your arms around me?" She asked as she slightly raised an eyebrow.

"Well... maybe. Or maybe I wanted to make Stella jealous"

"Who the hell is Stella?"

"The girl from the party last week?" He replied as if it was the most obvious thing ever.

"And why would you want to make her jealous?"

"She's been kinda ignoring me"

"The only reason I am letting myself be used for you to make a girl jealous is because I've grown to like you"

It was true. Josephine did grow to like Blaise, he was one of the few people that didn't put up a fake personality around her, and he had been a good friend for the small amount of time they had known each other.

"I am honored" he said dramatically.

"You should be" She said as she gave him an ironic smile.

The two teenagers continued to walk down the hallway, talking and laughing as if they have known each other forever. That's what it felt like for Josephine anyway.

She never really had friends growing up, only Mattheo, so she enjoyed the feeling of being a part of something, a part of a group.

——

It was a few minutes past 10, and she was heading up the astronomy tower, like Theodore had told her.

She was excited, she didn't know why but she was. She almost felt drawn to him for some reason.

When she made it up the tower, he was already there, sitting on the edge like he did the first day they met. She approached him and took a seat next to him

"Hey you" she said softly as she put her bag down next to her, letting her legs go over the edge.

"Hey" he said as he gave her a half smile, his eyes widening a bit, it was as if he was happy to see her, but he was being discreet about it.

"Is there a specific reason you told me to come here tonight?" She said as she looked at him, her eyebrow slightly raised.

"I just wanted to talk to you, what's the harm in that?"

"Oh nothing" she said as she didn't know what to reply

"What do you think of Hogwarts so far?"

"I mean- it's weird. I don't know how to explain it it's just weird going to school for the first time" she ran a hand through her hair.

"So you don't like it here?" He asked curiously.

"I never said I didn't like it, I just said it's weird"

"So you do like it?"

"I do in a way, it's nice to finally be a part of something"

Theodore took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. He had remembered how she smoked the last time they were there together. "You want one?" He asked as he held out a cigarette and his lighter for her.

"Always" she replied with a smile on her face as she took the cigarette and lit it, before handing him back the lighter for him to light his own.

"Can I ask you something?" He said as he lit his cigarette, taking a long drag out of it.

He looked so hot when he smoked.

"Sure"

"Do you like Blaise or something?"

"What? Why would you think that?" She might had come off as a bit defensive, but she actually didn't have any sort of romantic feelings for Blaise, she just thought of him as a good friend.

"You guys were acting like you were dating as you were walking down the hallway"

"You saw that?" She asked as she let out a sigh. She didn't like all the attention being on her, even though she couldn't prevent it.

"I'm pretty sure everyone saw that" he said taking another drag from his cigarette.

"Well, I don't like him. He wanted to make some Stella girl jealous"

"Oh that makes sense"

"Why does that make sense?"

"He had talked about Stella before. I also didn't think you were the type of girl to go for someone like Blaise"

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, raising her eyebrow slightly again as she was intrigued by his statement.

"He just doesn't seem like he's your type, that's all"

"How would you know what my type is? You've known me for a few days" she asked taking a drag from her cigarette.

"Girls like you don't go for guys like Blaise"

"And who do girls like me go for then?"

"Not guys like Blaise" he said causing her to scoff slightly.

"Isn't he supposed to be your best friend?"

"Just because he's my best friend doesn't mean he's your type"

"Oh you know what I mean" she said as she chuckled slightly under her breath, causing him to do the same.

"So what is your type then?" He asked, still with a playful expression but he was genuinely curious.

"Guys who think they know what girls like me go for." She said making both of them laugh slightly, as she was obviously talking about him.

In all honesty, Theodore was her type. From his personality to his looks he was the type of guy that she would go for. "Why what's your type?"

"Girls who like my best friend" he said with the same level of sarcasm, little did she know that she was his type.

"I told you I don't like him"

"Who said I was talking about you?" He said playfully as he chuckled slightly.

She gasped dramatically as she held her hand over her heart, pretending like she was offended, making him laugh even more.

Then, for a moment, both teens got lost in each other's eyes. She looked at his sleepy, hooded blue eyes. They were beautiful. Even though they made him look a little dead, they suited him perfectly.

He was lost in her eyes too. Her doe eyes, that were also sleepy, not tired just sleepy. They were a beautiful shade of dark brown, capturing her inner darkness perfectly.

His gaze moved from her eyes to her lips. They were a beautiful shade of pink, not too dark but not too light, just perfect. He found her beauty captivating. He found her captivating.

She had this aura that he didn't know how to explain. Her energy around people was cold, distant, but as they say the eyes are the widow to the soul. Her eyes showed kindness in them, despite her energy.

"Can i kiss you?" He said quietly, not wanting to ruin the moment.

With that she pulled him in by the back of his neck, attaching her lips with his. This wasn't like the kiss they shared at the party, it was different, both of them could feel it. Even though the passion was still there, this kiss was filled with more emotion and longing.

He ran a hand through her brunette hair, pulling him even closer to him as they continued to kiss. The feeling of his hand through her scalp sent a shiver down her spine, through her whole body.

They stopped kissing after a little while, as their faces were still close, both their cheeks red as they stared at each other.

"I guess you really weren't lying when you said you don't like Blaise" he said teasingly

"Oh shut up" she said before pulling him in by his shirt and attaching their lips again, he smiled into the kiss before pulling away, leaving her a bit confused.

"Do you wanna come to Hogsmade with me tomorrow?"

"Are you asking me on a date?" She asked teasingly as she raised her eyebrow slightly again.

"If i was would you say yes?"

"You can't answer a question with a question" she said as she rolled her eyes

"But i just did, so? Would you say yes?"

"Ask me properly and you'll see"

"Do you wanna come on a date with me to Hogsmade tomorrow?" He said as he sighed, almost accepting defeat against the girl in front of him.

"I'd like that" she smiled at him.

"I can't fucking believe this" she muttered under her breath, realizing that she had just gotten stood up by Theodore after waiting for him for two hours.
