Recap- Nandini feeling jealous of seeing closeness between alya and maniks leaves the party, manik was happy about her feeling something and a cheat kiss in the washroom.

It was the next morning after the party Manik woke up looking all sexy, shirtless. He checked his phone to see if there's any post of nandini but there wasn't. He went near the window of his room and clicked his selfie and posted it as the story of his Instagram thinking if she would check it .

Nandini was dressed up quite early for the office in her white shirt and blue jeans, hair braided and was reading her book, she got a notification that "manik posted a story". She bit her lips to check it or not , as she still was unaware why she left and why did she get jealous seeing his closeness with someone else.  She opened her Instagram and checked his story, her eyes widened . As he was looking like an absolute snack .

She couldn't help but stare at it , she came out of the zone and kept her phone aside .

Nandini's pov-

What is wrong with me? Why am I behaving like an absolute despo. I freaking checked his story within 5 mins . This is wrong, I already went through a bad phase and I'm not ready to go through another break up. He is my manager and whatever happened between us yesterday in the washroom was wrong too. And no I am not jealous of anyone, I have to make it clear to him that he should behave professionally with me.

Manik was all ready for his office, was about to sit in the car where he checked his story seens and there she was, he smirked and rubbed the back of his neck and sat in the car .

Nandini was already in his cabin with all her files of her presentations , since the deal was cracked she thought to move back to her spot outside with all the other interns . She was packing all the stuff to move outside .

There he entered and kept his bag on the table and noticed her . She was embarrassed of her behaviour yesterday as she left his party but still these feelings were unknown for her .

Manik: where do you think you are going?

Nandini: Umm, sir since cabir sir asked me to move here for hershey's presentation I had moved to your cabin but since my job is done am moving outside back to my place with other interns .

Manik : Did I ask you to?

Nandini: she looked down , biting her lips , don't know what to reply to him .

Manik: saw her biting her lip, he went closer to her, caged her between his arms and wall , moved his finger to her lips and removed her lip from her teeth. He leaned closer to her and whispered in her ears don't do that.

Nandini looked up to him lost in his gaze but reality hit her. She remembered everything from yesterday, she slightly pushed him away making him a bit stunned .

Nandini: Sir, I think it's better if we maintain professional relationships. I don't think that what happened yesterday was right. You are just my manager, that's it .

Manik : he fumes a bit in anger and pulls her by her arms as she is turned and her back hits his chest.

He leans closer to her ears,

Manik: Really, professional. If we are professional, why did you leave the party after I started dancing with alya? Why did it bother you

Her breath was uneven because of the closeness,

Nandini : No I didn't leave because of that , I left because I wasn't feeling well . She was stuttering and saying this looking down.

Manik: jerks her closer, making her gasp. And whispered in her ears his lips touching her ears "Liar" .

Nandini struggles to come out of his hold, he leaves her hand she turns towards him and anger rises in her .

Nandini: Don't you get it? This is wrong, everything is wrong .I am not a toy that guys like you can toy me around with, neither do I belong in your world.Now please excuse me. I have lots of things to do and she barges out of his cabin with her files .

Manik was frustrated, terrified and was confused about her behaviour. He was sitting on his chair holding his head with both of his hands .

When cabir entered, he saw manik engrossed in thinking and he went up to him and kept his hand on his shoulder trying to remove him from his thoughts.

Cabir: Whats up? Where are you lost .

Manik: Nothing, my head is aching ( He lies trying to hide the topic)

Cabir: (hits his head lightly making Manik hiss) Now are you gonna lie to your bestfriend chal bol, let me guess I saw nandini outside she isn't in ur cabin . Nandini ke saath fir se jhagda hua kya?

Manik: (He sighs and tells him everything that's happening from yesterday) Mai kya karu? Jabhi Mai Uske Kareeb jane ki koshish karta hu, she pushes me away . Not that I want to go near her but I fucking can't control , I lose it everytime she is near me . And please don't give me that crap of love because this clearly isn't. I think I am attracted to her physically why is fucking me up.

Cabir: relax bro, chill give sometime. I guess you are rushing too early . Maybe you call it attraction but I definitely feels its something else , deny it but I would tell you to wait and if she felt jealous yesterday I guess to know about her "unknown feelings towards you" we can try make her more . He smiles mischievously .

Manik: he nods and then they both get back to work

Later at 8pm, when Manik was leaving the office to go to the parking area he found a girl there, turned back towards him and he saw her smoking .

When he goes near her he sees that it is Nandini who is smoking.

For a moment Manik was shocked seeing Nandini smoking

Nandini pov

I don't know why I am getting stressed so much, I just feel my past is haunting me back . I honestly want to stay away from the guys because I have had enough . She lights another cigarette 🚬 and throws the first used one .

He comes near to her, clears her throat making her startle , she turns back and asks him what he was doing here .

Manik: Well I was here to take my car and leave for home but it seems you haven't left yet. I know it's not my place to tell you but smoking is injurious to your health and it's not nice for you to do that.

Nandini: I know , I just was stressed and I just needed some time alone .

He takes a cigarette from her hand and throws it in the near dustbin .

Before she could say anything , he says " not that I should care as you said I am just your manager but as your manager I wouldn't want my lovely intern to smoke her lungs out because she has to prepare for my next meetings" .

She smiles a bit, a very light smile enough for him to notice. She nods and looks at his face thinking that maybe she overreacted in his cabin and maybe he isn't bad as he seems or acts

Manik : fliks his fingers breaking her out of her thoughts , can I drop you home ? Don't think else just a professional relationship so that my intern reaches home safely

Nandini: ( she thought its not to argue anymore) , she nods and they get into his car, whole ride was silent she has told him her address. Both were glancing each other secretly small glimpse dint know what to talk further .

They reach her home, and Manik stops the car in front of her building .

Nandini: looks at him and says, "I am sorry for my behaviour this morning, I really overreacted" .

Manik : looks at her and says Its fine , I guess you weren't wrong but I am not toying anyone if u think so and yes stop smoking .

Nandini : (rolls her eyes) fine, but I am sorry can we start fresh? Can we be um Friends?

Manik:  friends are u sure?

Nandini: oh common aap bohot bhaav kharahe ho, Please I honestly misunderstood you and I want to work peacefully in your company and be led by you. Let's start as friends?

Manik (smiles thinking about it in his mind , he was feeling extremely happy,he wanted to dance out loud) he clears his throat and say Okay, let's be friends and they exchange small smiles

She waves him bye and enters her building he sees her till she walks inside the building and then leaves for home, he was extremely happy , Dint know why because it was a new beginning, a new beginning from her side.
