Messages exchanged back and forth,

Not quite often, but at times in need,

Of a friend who would heed.

She, was always hesitant,

To initiate the first step,

He, would always take the lead,

Though he never liked the deed.

Her interest he wished to know,

His interests she wished to grow,

Both unaware of the bonding hearts,

Pretended to stick on to the friends part.

Days passed and the texts turned to calls,

Secretly she would pick them all,

Sharing her secrets, hidden to the rest,

He slowly became her safer nest.
