PROPOSAL

Half expecting, the call be unanswered,

Seconds of ringing seemed long,

Her core thumped with the ringing tunes,

The lumps hard to swallow.

Her breath hitched as the call answered,

Formal was her beginning,

A bit reluctant and then,

Hesitant she started to speak.

Unsure of what was bound to happen,

She confessed, little hope shimmering in.

Silent as a calm before a storm,

Prevailed, answers left hanging mid.

The breaking bomb he dropped,

Confessing the truth of his accepted love,

And that's when her brain whirl pooled,

The many moments she saw him with her.
