To her house, with a mutual friend,

He visited her after a long gap,

Excited and happy, she was,

Nervous and silent, he was.

Jovial was her mom, mingling with him,

Lots of casual talks, teasing and fun

Her fam, treated him as theirs,

Sought was his advice too, for her career.

A while later, he bid goodbye,

She heaved a sigh, of the unfortunate day,

She wished had come long back,

Before she found her treasure.

She smiled happily, yet the guilt gnawed,

Not wishing to give him a false hope,

She decided to break the ice,

The very evening before his return.
