*~ 6 ~*

IT WAS A sunny afternoon, the waves softly splashed against the shore. Me and my family were doing chores in our hut. I noticed that Kiri was sitting alone, on the dock of our mauri with a frown on her face. I sat next her as I placed my hand on her shoulder. Kiri turned to look at me.

"Sister, what's wrong?" Nai'a'la asked with worry. Kiri sighed deeply, "I'm just upset, now I can't visit the spirit tree ever again. I can't visit my mom again sister." Kiri replied as her lips trembled.

Tears threatened to spill from her eyes. "Oh Kiri, I'm so sorry you feel that way. But Grace will always be there for you, she's watching over you and keeping you safe. She's in your heart. Eywa is keeping her safe. I'm here for you, mom is here for you, Neteyam and Loak are for you, dad is here for you and Tuk's here for you." I replied as I pulled her in for a tight embrace.

"Thank you, sister. I really appreciate it." Kiri smiled reciprocating the hug. You pulled away as you were about to say something, when suddenly the horn the blew.

Kiri raised her brow with curiosity. "What's that?" Tuk asked walkout of the hut.
"What's going on?" Loak spoke up from inside the hut. All of the villagers immediately sprinted out of their mauri's and into the ocean.

Tsireya passed by on her ilu. "The Tulkun have returned! Everybody, our brothers and sisters have returned!!" She announced excitedly.

A group of Tulkun swam towards the village splashing their fins against the water with excitement. You smiled letting out an elated laugh, Tuk quickly pulled Kiri's arm. "Come on Kiri let's go meet the Tulkun!" Tuktirey said jumping with enthusiasm.

And there was cycled migration. The Tulkun have come home.

"Look it's my spirit sister!" Tsireya said to Loak as they approached her spirit sister on her ilu. The Tulkun wailed happily upon seeing Tsireya.

"Nai'a'la! Come and meet my spirit brother!" Aonung exclaimed at you as he stopped in front of your mauri on his ilu. You blushed as you mounted on his ilu behind him. He swam as fast as he could towards his spirit brother.

The male Tulkun howled happily, splashing his fins with eagerness. Aonung got off of his ilu as he swam towards Ki'ahlo. Ni'a'la was behind Aonung watching their interaction.

"Brother. I see you." Aonung signed with a huge smile plastered on his face. "I see you brother, and who is that girl behind you?" Ki'ahlo wailed with curiosity. You swam forward to the tulkun. "That is Nai'a'la. My girl. Shes Omatikayan, she is the daughter of Toruk Makto. she moved here with her family to seek refuge."

Aonung replied as he admired you. Ki'ahlo howled. "She's beautiful brother, I can tell that she is the one for you. She has a kind heart and she's fierce. Tell her that I'm very pleased to meet her." The Tulkun wailed happily. Aonung smiled at his response.

You didn't understand their conversation since you don't know much of Metkayina sign language, but you know the basics. "He says that he's very pleased to meet you, and that you're beautiful and fierce." Aonung signed to you. You smiled signing back to him. "Tell him that I'm very pleased to him. And thank you."
