A soft amber glow paints the dark night sky. The nightly bliss sang by the crickets was not heard of, but instead a low crackling had played in the night.

Hurried footsteps rang throughout the streets, water spilling creating puddles as its passed to one hand to another. 

Women tried to make their way through the now crowed streets, in hand with their children or elders. Though separation was predictable in this situation.

Children were frightened by the commotion. Never had they seen such a thing to happen in their once quiet setting.

Though, in the distance a group looked upon them with apathy, wielding their weapons high if they were ever seen in the cover of darkness. They scoffed at them.

"HELP! HELP! PLEASE! HELP US!"

...

That cry. That cry was the last that rang through the night...

...

Drip... Drip... Drip

Yet those weren't the final tears to be shed. Those were only the beginning.
