"Leonel?" I mumbled. He looks at me "Can't you stay safe?" he said harshly. Can't I stay safe? Whats my fault in that? How dare he talk to me like that?...I didn't asked his help. I thought and glared at him "I didn't asked for your help. I could have managed" I scoffed at him. I went past him and intentionally stepped on his foot "This is what I get for helping you." he said while holding his leg with one hand and the other one was holding the chair. "I didn't asked your help. It was your choice to do that" I said coldly as I turned towards him. "What are you doing here?" I said casually. "What do you mean? Don't you know it's my party. So I should ask you what are you doing here" He said as he straighten and crossed his arms on his chest. "Well my parents were invited" I said calmly. "Tell me the names maybe I know them" he said as he shoved his hand in his pockets "Steven White and Laura White" as I said his eyes widened "I never saw you in any of the parties before" he quickly said as he was not believing me, "Well I am not a party person and I usually stay at home" I shrugged. "Well can tell me is there any place around here where there are less or no people" I said not wanting to stay here. He nods and we started walking towards a garden, well it was beautifully decorated and had a small bench. "Thank you" I mumbled quietly. "What did you say I didn't hear" he said while leaning down towards me he had a smirk on his face "I said I could have managed on my own" I said loudly with a blush. Oh! he's so arrogant. Why did I even thank him. "Well I didn't help you because of any kindness, it's just that you are a guest in my party and it's my duty to keep my guest happy and safe" he said. "What do you mean it's your party I thought it was Mr. Martin's party" I said while I sat on the bench. "Are you dumb? Lucas Martin is my father, business partner of your father" he replied looking at me in disbelief, he raised on of his brow making it obvious. "Look Mister I'm really not interested in this party and I just want to go home. And no I'm no dumb it's just that I had never asked my father about his business so I really didn't know about you nor your father. At least leave me alone already this party has pissed me off" I said angerily How dare he called me dumb. I hate him so much. "Well I can give you company tonight don't sit here alone you'll get sick, it's cold outside" he said with genuine concern. Yeah concern because I'm his guest. Nothing more. "I don't want your company" I said sternly. "But why?" he asked like he was surprised with my reply. What did he thought I would fall for his charms. "Well because firstly I don't want to be a burden secondly you'll just irritate me more." I said honestly. "You are the first girl to say I'm irritating" he said as he looks at me "Okay I won't irritate you. I promise. And you won't be a burden. Come along" he added after a while as if he was thinking something. I sighed. Maybe he is right. I will catch a cold if I stay here any longer. "Okay" I said. He grinned and we started walking.

We were walking in one of the halls of his huge mansion. I'm was already tired of walking and my heels don't help in that. "Can't we just rest somewhere" I said, clearly irritated by walking. "Okay" he mumbles and opened a door in front of us which I haven't noticed before. It was a play room I guess, because it was full of different stuffs like remote control cars, robot and helicopters, video games and a basketball and even a hoop. I quickly take out my heels and throw them aside I took the basketball and started bouncing on the floor. "You know how to play basketball?" he asked as he sat on the bed. Wait! Bed? There is a bed that means it's someone's room. I thought but I totally ignored that. "Of course. I was the captain of Oceanside All Girls School team for the last 3 years" I replied throwing the the ball through the hoop. I look at him and smirked "What about you?" I asked. "Well I know to play basketball but I'm the captain of our school's football team not fond of basketball so much" he replied with amusement. "Lets have one match" I challenged him. He thought for a minute then nods his head.

He was standing in front of me and I was bouncing the ball on the ground I went past him securing the ball I was bending down in a position of defense and he was hovering me from behind to take the ball and he successfully grabbed the ball and started running towards the hoop as he threw the ball I grabbed it in mid air and throw it through the hoop. I grinned evilly "I win" I said and sat on the bed as I was very tired after playing basketball with him. He sat on a chair near the bed. "Whoes room is it?" I asked as I look around. It had white walls with blue design on it. The bed was small I guess it was only for sitting. "Its my play room. Although I don't use it so much" he answered casually, I was not surprised that he has a play room of his own after all he's the son of The Lucas Martin, he is the owner of Martins Shipping Company, it is one of the best Multinational Shipping Company in the world. This explains why he is arrogant it's in his blood. A arrogant, spoiled brat and a control freak, who can't take no as a answer.
We sat there in silence for the next half an hour and I fall asleep on that bed.

I wake up when I felt a little movement around me. "Wake up, party is almost over your parents are searching for you" I heard a familiar masculine voice, when I opened my eyes I saw Leonel hovering me, his face was so close to me that I blushed. I have never been this close to a boy. When he saw my blushed face he straighten up and he had a slight blush on his cheek.

Aww..I never thought I would say this...But he look so cute while blushing.

"Thanks for waking me up" I said as I rushed outside taking my heels with me, I didn't even care to let him reply me back.

I was running towards the main hall but I stopped just in front of the large doors and wear my heels and set my hair. What will people think when they look at me as a mess. I thought and opened the door and slipped in the large hall.

I saw Mom and Dad looking around, like searching for something, Of course they were searching for me. As their eyes land on me they smiled warmly and I smiled back.

We went back silently as all three of us were tired. When we get home I rushed to my room as it was very difficult for me to even open my eyes.

I wake up a little late, because of yesterdays party. But I managed to reached the school on time.

I walked towards a empty seat and slammed my bag on the table as I sat down, everyone was looking at me like I'm a criminal or a celebrity. I guess both, criminal in the eyes of the girls who are jealous of my perfect body and natural stunning beauty, and celebrity for boys who are craving for me. But I really don't care about anyone of them. In all those unfamiliar faces I saw a familiar face with a warm smile and I instantly got up. Soon I was taken into a tight embrace by my best friend Mia.
So that's why the name was so familiar to me. Because Mia transferred to this school before I did.

"Long time Stel" Mia said as she pulled back. "Because of you" I said as I fake glared at her. "I'm glad my feisty is back" she said. But our conversation was interrupted by a slam on my table. I looked up to see who dared to do that. "This is my seat get off" Leonel said angerily. "No I won't" I said sternly and sat down. He growled in response earning a evil smirk from me. He tried to throw my bag away but I hold it still on the table and sat on the seat glaring at him "You are late your fault" I said sternly, everyone was looking at me like I have given him some kind of a challenge well yeah I have given a open challenge this time. He glared at them and everyone started doing whatever they were doing. He had no choice to sit on other seat so he sat in front of me, Mia was sitting beside me.

My new class teacher, Nora Williams, came in and warmly smiled at me. "Stella come here and introduce yourself" She said and gestured me stand beside her. I did what I was told, I went and stand beside her. "I'm Stella White.....It's all you should know. " I gave a small smile my arrogance was evident on my face, then walled back to my seat with confidence. "Atitude girl" I heard Leonel said. I smirked at him and quietly mumbled "Whats a girl without a atitude" and sat down on my seat.

Miss Nora looked shocked but then smiled warmly. She went her seat and sat down "Class I'm giving you a project and you all will do it in pairs. Take these slips and see who is your partner, and partners will need to sit together in every class till you all submit your projects" she announced. There were two bowls with pieces of paper. Blue bowl was for boys and red for girls.

Everyone started taking the slips, there were numbers written on it. It was my turn picked up a slip and saw it had a big "2" on it.

When everyone was done Miss Nora again announced "Now pair up with the ones who had the same number. Remember this project is not only about presentation but also about team work".

I look around to see who is my partner. "Who has number 2" I shouted. All the boys started looking for the one who has number 2. Suddenly someone whispered in my ear from behind "I have number 2". I was about to punch, an involuntary reaction as I am a kickboxer, but someone grabbed my wrist, "Hey cool down it's me Leonel" Leonel said. "Not my fault, reflexes" I said then looks at his slip, He got no. 2. Holy shit!!. I'm stuck with this idiot. "You are my partner?" I said as more of a question, as I couldn't hide my dislike for him anymore. He may be handsome and good looking, he even helped me but I can't handle his arrogance anymore if we will work together we will only fight. Its also stated by the law of magnetism ‛Like poles repel' and we both are so alike there is no way we can even be friends.

"As we are partners now let's forget about what happened before. I need nice marks in this or else my grades will go down and yeah they are already not so good. So let's be friends" he said calmly with a smile. He offered me his hand for a handshake and I took it "We are friends now. So don't be so arrogant around me" I said with a smile. He smiled wider "I promise and I'm sorry for my arrogant behavior" he said.

So finally I found a new friend other than Mia. I will help you in any way from now on Leonel. It's my promise my friend. I thought with a warm smile.
