The apple doesn't fall far from the tree
The sound of a rude, so very, vulgar inanimate object brought me back to my painful reality. Anger and frustration envelop me. I put a pillow on my face to hide from the annoying sound. The slight headache that started kept getting worse.
I sit down on the bed angrily, grab the annoying thing, and throw it against the wall, making it shattered into million pieces. I throw myself angrily on the bed, putting a pillow over my head. Now I need to buy a new one.
How many tequila shots did I drink last night? All I remember was two. It wouldn't get me like this.
I got up to get ready for the day, took off my clothes just letting it fall to the floor. I walked naked to the bathroom and got a quick cold shower. I wrapped a towel around my body and got out of the shower. I brushed my teeth, open the cabinet, and put light make upon. There was no use trying to tame my hair today, it was too tangled so I just put it in a messy bun.
My outfit today was comfortable which consisted of sweatpants, a tank top, and sandals. As soon as I open the door I had to shut it off fast, the sun bothered me today. That wasn't a drunken mistake. I turn and went to my nightstand grabbed my sunglasses and put them on.
I droved to the college lost in thought. Something was happening to me but I couldn't put my finger on it. And because of the unknown, I was a bitch throughout the day getting my ass kick out of the classes. I groaned leaning against my car annoyed. If I keep this bitchy attitude at school I would lose my scholarship. I didn't have the need to work because my parents left me enough money that lasted me till now. I have been spending it smartly. I focused on school when I was in high school and made sure I got all A's earning my self the scholarship I was about to lose for being stupid.
It was too early to wait in the bar, I would get my ass drunk. Which would be reckless and stupid. So I drove to my park and sat down on a bench and took out my mom's notebook. I knew the notebook by memory now, but she wrote this with her bare hands. I pass a finger through the writing picturing her sitting down on the bed writing everything down, for me to learn from. It kept me connected to her.
I got so lost in the notebook, that time passed and I didn't notice until it was dark, and I couldn't read anymore. A tired sigh left my lips as I closed the notebook putting it in my backpack. I stood up and went to the vampire favorite buffet for their buffet.
An Alley where all human's like to hang out. I mean whatever happened to common sense?
A small grunt made me on high alert. I followed the sound more out of curiosity than being worried about the victim today. Usually, victims were girls, but the grunt sounded masculine.
There were two-man struggling. Well one of them was. The vampire was obviously winning.
"Hey!" The vampire turned towards my voice with a growled, then a smile slowly appeared on his lips. "Why don't you take on someone you're own size?"
"And you're qualified?"
I answer his question with a smirk on my face. Taking the stake out of my hiding place and showed it to him. The vampire let go of the human who fell to the floor with a hard grunt eye closed. The vampire walked towards me almost in a seductive way.
He attacked first. Big mistake. I blocked the punch he threw at my arm without any effort, turn around, and kicked him on the stomach hard making him stumbled backward, then another kick follows this time making him fall to the floor with a grunt.
I got on top of the vampire fast putting a hand on his chest to keep him on the floor the other hand was holding a stake that was driven to his chest by me. A soft smile appeared on my lips and I got up slowly. I burned the body then walked towards the human.
"What happened?" He said weakly.
"You were attacked by a serial killer."
"You save me?" He asked with a tone full of disbelieve.
"I made it look like I wasn't alone."
"Oh." Just like that, he accepted my explanation. I was tempted to leave his ass here. I helped him get up and he put a big arm around me. We walked to the park where it was well light. Once we sat down green eyes stared back at me. He had long light brown hair that was all over the place and messy. It did not look bad, it actually made him look sexy.
He stared back his lips were in a thin line that looked like it was inviting me for a kiss. His clothes were ripped which let me glance how well-muscled his chest was-- "Thank you anyway," he said bringing me back to stare at his green eyes. "He seems to be into something sick, his mouth was on my neck." He shivered and I started to smile. "I think he was about to bite me." I giggle. I know the situation didn't call for that, but I couldn't help it. Being ignorant about vampires was amazing.
"He might have been into raping men's, then killing them," I said too bluntly and the poor guy shivered in disgust and scare.
"Thank you so much again. Please let me thank you, by buying you a drink." He smiled and I saw he went from being scared to flirting with me. I sigh and rolled my eyes at him. Not that I didn't sleep around, but I like to pick and choose and I am the one that tells the guy I want a nightstand. Not the other way around.
"No," I said fast.
"Oh, please."
"I need to go home."
He turned his complete body towards me giving me a seductive smile. "I'm scared to walk by myself now." I arched an eyebrow at him. First I was too girly to be able to save his ass, but I could walk him to get food? "I was actually on my way to get food when I got attacked. Are you going to let me starve after saving my life?" I sigh a little irritated.
"That's a lame pick up line," I said with a bored tone. He smiled wider dazzling me for a second. "Fine," I heard my self-saying. We walked to his fancy car.
He opened the door for me then got on the driver's side and drove away. We stop at what it looked like a fancy restaurant I turned and stared at him.
"It has a bar." I got out of the car and followed him, the guy at the entrance gave me a look. Annoying me. I was not the only one not dressed for this place. The human clothes were dirty and ripped, but he was known here. So the look of disgust was for me. The human gave him 3 bills which they all looked 100$ and he let me pass. "Don't mind him. It's your attire."
"I told-"
"I know. As I said, don't mind him." He took me straight to the bar. When the bartender asked me what I wanted. I was going to ask for my usual tequila shot. "Daiquiri." The stranger said. I stared at him. "Trust me. You'll like it."
"That sounded like an expensive drink."
"It's my treat, remember. It's not like we're doing this again." There was a hint of something in his tone but I got distracted by his smile so I just nodded. He had a point regardless. "By the way. My name is Nathan."
"Zoey."
"It's really a pleasure to meet you, Zoey. Thank you again for saving my life." I blushed a little bit. He was the first human that thank me so much for saving his life. It made me feel good. The Daquiri came and I took a sip. It tasted really good. So I gulped down the glass fast. I wanted another one, but as I have noticed earlier they were an expensive drink. "Another Daiquiri," Nathan said to the waiter. He orders a special drink I couldn't even pronounce. He did not order food. Just drinks. He did ask me if I wanted to eat. But for some reason, I was being stupid today. I was enjoying the Daquiris way too much and let my guard down around Nathan. Eventually, I lost track of how many Daiquiris I drank and lost track of time as well.
Something I have never done before. It was stupid and reckless. I was drinking yet another glass when I started to giggle. Nathan stared at me and took the glass from my hands. "I think you had enough Daiquiris for tonight."
"I know when I had enough." I tried to get the glass back but I fell on his lap. He steadied me giving me an amused look. He picked me up with one of his huge arms and held me close to his body. With his free hand, he paid the tab. We walked out with his help. "You are pretty strong and skilled for a guy," I notice. He chuckles.
"Oh please, not only you're a little girl, but you're a short one at that. What do you weight? 60 pounds?" I glared drunkenly at him.
"I weight a hundred and twenty pounds! Thank You very much. I do exercise and I do have muscles. Enough to save your life." A smirk started to appear on his lips slowly lighting up his face, he started to look down at me keeping the smirk on his face.
"Ok," He murmured only as not to argue with me. He gently put me on the passenger side and put a seatbelt on my body. I didn't see him go to the driver side and drive away, I fell asleep as soon as my body was on the seat. I open my eyes slowly and tried to sit down fast, everything spun and I fell back against a bedpost- "Whoa, there little lady, go back to sleep and rest-" I open my eyes even more and looked around the place. I was in a really expensive looking bedroom, made my small bedroom look pathetic in comparison. I was also still drunk.
"Where am I?" I asked as I put a hand on my head. I must have fallen asleep for a few seconds because I was still stinky drunk.
"You're in my apartment. You were too drunk to tell me where you live."
"Right," I mumbled and I turned legs to the border of the bed letting my feets dangled. I went to stand up and I started to fall forward. But Nathan put a hand on my stomach preventing me from falling to the floor on my face.
"Just stay the night. What's your house phone number? I'll call your mother." I put my legs back on the bed and lay back eyes closed.
"I have no one," I murmured.
"I'm sorry. Do you live-"
"I said I have NO ONE!" I snap at him.
"Ok, I'm sorry. Just stay with me." I open my eyes again and glared at the choice of a word he used. "For tonight?"
I nodded slowly and kept staring into his beautiful green eyes. I could jump on them and get lost. He lifted his shirt off his body slowly I stared at the line of his chest, he had beautiful and impressive muscles. My mouth drops open and my eyes refused to look away. I stared and devoured his muscle chest with my eyes. This guy was made of muscles it was arousing and intimidated at the same time. I spend an hour every day at the gym, and barely had abs. But on this guy's chest, I could wash clothes on his abdomen. I found myself fantasizing how would they looked or move as he moves his pelvis back and forward as he thrust into me- I shook my head softly clearing my head of such nasty thoughts.
"What are you doing?" I asked still staring at his chest.
"I was going to change into my sleepwear. But your beauty distracted me." I looked up slowly and unwillingly from his chest to stared into his green eyes. "You're so beautiful." Me beautiful? How can this guy know about beauty when he sees himself in the mirror? He was beautiful.
"Your lying, I must look awful."
He smiled softly and walked towards the bed then rested a knee on the bed and put a hand on my cheek. I stare drunkenly into his eyes. "You are so beautiful that if I stare at you long enough it hurts." I smiled sheepishly. "I would like to kiss you," he whispered as he moves a strand of hair out of my face. "Can I?"
"Yes," I whispered. He leaned closer and our lips met, he tasted amazing. I put my hands around his neck deepening the kiss and felt back on the bed with him on top of me. Nathan was at such an angle that he wasn't crushing me with his weight, nor he felt heavy. Things started to get good and heated...
But then everything went black.
