Djinn Love

A/N: I know this is from a text post but I don't know which one. Sorry.

Castiel has to deal with Dean taking girls home all the time. So he leaves the bunker, by himself. He goes on a hunt, very well knowing that it's a Djinn. He wants this to happen. He planned for it to happen. He's still an Angel, so if Dean or Sam caught up with him, Castiel could just blame it on missing the kill. Castiel gets trapped in a dream world, with Dean as a mechanic, and himself as a history teacher. Dean had to go with Sam to parent-teacher conferences, since Sam is 17 and Dean is 26. (In this sort-of-au, they're all younger. Castiel is 28.) Their parents are still gone, so Dean had to raise Sam. They meet, fall in love. Meanwhile, in the real world, Sam and Dean search frantically for their lost Angel.

*Castiel's POV*

"I'm going for a beer," Dean calls out. The bunker door slams shut a few moments later. I walk out of my room, seeing Sam at the map table with a salad on his plate.

"Hello, Sam," I say.

"Hey, Cass. You okay? You don't look too well," Sam says, looking up from his plate.

"I'm just thinking about Gabriel. He's been gone for awhile, I don't know when he will be back," I lie. Sam nods, going back to his salad. I look up at the ceiling, pretending to hear Gabriel's voice. "Gabriel is calling. I have to go."

"Wait, Cass. Where are you going? When will you be back?" Sam asks quickly.

"I do not know, Sam. I'll talk to you when I can," I reply, before taking off.

Instantly, I'm at a warehouse. I see someone tied up in a chair, with the Djinn looming over the person. The guy gasps, meeting my eyes.

The Djinn turns around, seeing me standing there. "How did you get in?" She asks me.

"Let him go," I say sternly. "My life, for his."

"Tell me how you got in, and I might consider it," she remarks.

Within the next second, I'm behind the chair. I untie the teenager from the chair, patting him on the shoulder. "Go. I'll deal with this. If someone named Sam and Dean come looking for me, send them away. They will be two FBI feds."

He looks at me curiously before replying. "How do you know they'll find me?" He asks.

"Because I know them," I reply, glancing over at the Djinn. She's standing there, watching me with her arms crossed over her chest. "This was the only case I could find. They're bound to find out."

The teen nods, walking off. I sigh in relief, knowing I did good. It was what Sam and Dean would've done. They'd trick the Djinn into letting him go, and kill her. Except I'm not tricking her.

"So you know the Winchester's?" She asks, smirking.

I nod, taking the seat. "My name is Castiel. Angel Of The Lord. That is how I found this place, and got in."

"So you're the one who ripped Dean Winchester from perdition?" She asks. I nod. "Well this is quite a feat, I've got the one angel that the Winchester's would go after. Might just stick here with you so I can do the same to them."

"No," I say sternly. "Leave them alone. Take me."

She studies me for a moment before nodding. "Alright. I'll take it." The Djinn walks up to me and blue courses through her veins. She gathers up her power, before unleashing it into me. Within the next second, I'm seeing black.

I wake up in a classroom a moment later. Startled, I look around in a search for answers. Everything comes back to me, and I sigh. I look at the papers on the desk before glancing at the board behind me.

Mr. Novak
English 12
February 1st, 2019

I keep a mental note of the day. Then I realize it's dark outside. I walk out of the classroom, seeing parents and students lined up outside each door. Only there were two people lined up outside of mine. Taking a closer look, I realize they're Sam and Dean. Although they're younger than normal. Dean looks to be about 10 years older than Sam, which is way different. Sam is still taller, though.

"Winchester's, come with me," I say. They stand up, walking into the room. They sit down at the seats perched on the other side of my desk. After taking my seat, I open Sam's folder. "Sam Winchester is doing excellent in his classes. Almost perfect scores every time. Really outstanding job."

"Thank you, Mr. Novak. Is there anything else?" Dean asks.

I read a side note, that 'old' me must've written. "Apparently he's having trouble concentrating recently. Gabriel..?" I clear my throat, a bit shocked to see my brother here. Turns out, his last name is Novak here. Weird. "Has been distracting him, and I'm worried about this continuing. Seeing as his grade is already high, there's no need for concern right now. But I would like to see that change before it starts affecting him."

"Is this true, Sammy?" Dean asks.

"It's Sam. Sammy is a chubby 9-year old," Sam says, giving Dean his classic bitch face.

"Is it true?" Dean repeats.

"Yeah, but Gabe is just trying to get me out of my shell. Pranks, little things like that. A little candy here and there," Sam shrugs.

Dean looks at him like he has three heads. He clears his throat before turning back to me. "I'm sorry, Mr. Novak. You shouldn't have to deal with this. I will talk to him when he gets home."

"It's alright, Mr. Winchester," I reply, trying to be formal.

"It's Dean," he tells me.

"I'm quite aware of that," I tell him. "Call me Castiel, please."

His face seems to light up at the thought. "Sammy, can you wait outside for a minute? I'll be out in a second." Sam sighs, getting up and leaving the room. "I know this is a bit forward, but would you like to go out to dinner with me sometime?" I smile, nodding my head. This is what I've been waiting for.

I grab a sticky note from the side of my desk, along with a pen. I hand it to him to write down his info. A little while later, he hands it back. "I'll see you then, Dean."

And then he leaves.

I glance down at the paper, reading it to myself.

Time seems to pass a lot faster in the Djinn world. In what would've been a week in the real world, was three months in here. Dean and I are together now, but I have a bad feeling. It's been too long, they're bound to show up soon.

*Sam's POV*

Dean stumbles into the bunker around 2am the next morning. Cass left a couple hours ago, so I figure I should tell Dean.

But I can't. Castiel is with Gabe. He said he would contact me when he could. A week passes by, and Dean has basically forgot about him. I've barely got any sleep, I've prayed to Cass multiple times. No answer.

It's about 5AM when I give up on sleep. I decide to look for a case while Dean sleeps, knowing well enough I won't be able to tonight. By the time he sits down with a coffee, I've already found the case and found some suspects. The most recent one, being a 17-year old Daniel Payne.

"Morning, Sammy," Dean says, sleep still evident in his voice.

"Dean, can we talk?" I ask.

He puts down his cup, looking over at me. "You found another case?"

"Yeah. So get this, people in Abington, Pennsylvania have been going missing. Only to be found a couple days later in a dream-like state. They've just fell into a mysterious coma. Nobody knows anything about it. I think it's a Djinn. You up for it?" I ask.

"Yeah, sure. Give me 20. Meet you in Baby," Dean says, standing up.

After getting ready and into the Impala, Dean sets off on the trip. I take a deep breath, getting ready to tell him about Cass. "Dean..."

He glances over at me with confusion, then it turns into worry. "Woah, everything okay?" And then it dawns on him. He pulls over the car, scrunching up his face. "I didn't see Cass today. You know where he is?"

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about..." I sigh. "He's gone. He left."

"What do you mean 'he left'?" Dean asks.

"He said Gabriel contacted him. That he would be in touch. It's been a week, Dean. I couldn't hold it in any longer," I sigh.

"You waited a week to tell me this?" He asks.

"Well it's not like you were going to figure it out!" I retort. "You've acted like he never existed. I waited for you to come to the realization, but it never happened. Don't blame me for this."

He huffs, pulling back onto the road and driving.

•••

We sit in silence the rest of the way there. It took us two days to arrive in Abington, PA. He pulls up to the house address I gave him earlier. We get out of the car and walk up to the door. After knocking, an older man opens the door.

"This is Agent Plant, I'm Agent Ulrich. We're here to talk to Daniel Payne," I say, holding up my badge.

He sighs, opening the door for us. "I'll be upstairs. Give you guys some privacy," the man says.

We see the teenager sitting on the couch, watching TV. "Daniel, I'm Agent Ulrich, this is Agent Plant. We'd like to talk to you about what happened a little over a week ago," Dean says softly. We take a seat and Daniel sighs. "How did you escape?"

"I can't tell you," he says.

"Why not?" I ask.

"Because the man told me not to," Daniel replies.

"The man? The one who captured you?" Dean asks.

"No, the one who saved me. He sacrificed himself for me. Seemed desperate for it," he says. "He told me not to speak to you two."

"What's his name?" I ask, glancing at Dean.

"You're not even real cops," Daniel says. Dean and I look at him with shock. "Your names are Sam and Dean Winchester. Am I right?"

"H-how did you know that?" Dean asks.

"The man told me," Daniel shrugs. "I'm not telling you where he is. Or his name."

"What about the person who captured you? Could you tell us who they are?" I ask.

"A girl, maybe 19. Don't remember her name or details. Chose to forget," he says quietly.

"What did the man look like?" Dean asks.

"I don't know if I should tell you..." he says.

"Please, we're hoping to find him," I say.

"He said you would," Daniel says. "That it was the only 'case' around. That you two would chase after him, even though he clearly didn't want to be found."

Dean and I look at each other before turning back to the teenager. "Blue eyes, trench coat? Messy hair?"

"Sounds about right," he shrugs.

"Shit," Dean mutters.

"Was his name Castiel?" I ask.

"He said something about that, yes. Angel Of The Lord?" Daniel scrunches up his face in confusion. I let out a sigh of relief, knowing we've found him.

"Wait, what happened to him?" I ask.

"He told me to leave, but I wanted to make sure he would be okay. The girl approached him, then she started glowing. She touched him and that was it. I had to get out of there. He looked so lifeless," Daniel replies.

"But how is that possible? He's an Angel."

"Alright, thank you for your time. Dean, let's go," I say softly. I walk out, gripping Dean's arm and dragging him to the Impala.

"What the hell?!" Dean yells. "We didn't get the address!"

"Get in the car," I say sternly. We get in, and Dean slams his door shut. "I have an idea. Cass said he was going to Gabriel. Clearly, he was lying. Maybe we can call him down here?"

"Alright, Gabriel. You son of a bitch, get your winged ass down here!" Dean yells.

After a couple minutes of silence, I sigh. "Maybe do what you did to summon Cass with Bobby?"

"He's an Archangel, Sam. I doubt more than lights breaking and a storm will happen if we do that," Dean retorts.

"Hey, Dean-o. Samsquatch," Gabe says, startling the both of us. We turn around, glaring at him. "What you two need? Trouble in paradise?"

"Castiel, where is he?" Dean asks.

"Woah, woah. What happened here?" Gabe asks.

"He sacrificed himself to a Djinn. It's been over a week. We don't have time for this," I say.

All of a sudden, Gabe's phone rings. "When the hell did you get a phone?" Dean asks.

"Shh," Gabe says. He puts the phone on speaker.  "Hello?"

"Is this Gabriel Novak?" A lady asks.

We look at each other with confusion. "Uh, yeah?" Gabe says hesitantly. "Who is this?"

"I'm here in regards to Castiel Novak, your brother. You're his emergency contact. He was found on the side of the road behind a warehouse a couple hours ago. It seems he's fallen into a coma. Could you come down to the hospital?"

We stare at each other in shock. "Abington Hospital, right?" Gabe asks.

"Yes, sir. Please come quickly. It seems his internal organs are shutting down."

And with that, Gabe hangs up. "I'll meet you two there," Gabe says.

I grab his arm before he can leave. "You're riding with us," I tell him. He huffs, sitting back.

•••

A little while later, and we're at the hospital. The nurse leads us to Castiel's room and we walk inside. He looks pale and weak. Nothing like he used to.

"I'll give you three some time alone," the nurse says.

"Can you get in?" I ask Gabe.

"Of course I can, Samsquatch. But the problem is, I can only take one of you with me," Gabe says. Dean and I look at each other, debating. "Oh, screw it." Gabe pulls me into the chair next to him, and presses his fingers into Castiel's forehead. Instantly, we're in his mind.

"Where are we?" I ask Gabe.

"His mind, where else?" Gabriel chuckles. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. Suddenly, Gabriel sighs. "His time is almost up, Sam. It's been over three months. We need to find him."

*Castiel's POV*

I walk out of the school, Sam and Gabe in tow. "Dean coming to pick us up today?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, I left my car at home," I tell them.

Dean and I moved in with each other, since my lease ran out. I didn't know until I got an eviction notice on my door the other day. Dean instantly said Gabe and I could live with him.

Dean pulls up in his Impala, and I hop in the passengers seat. As we drive by, I see an older version of Sam and Gabe on the sidewalk. We make eye contact and they watch us drive off. Shit, I knew they'd be back.

"So how did you do on the test today, guys?" Dean asks the two in the back.

"Fine, Dean," Sam groans. "Cass, you need to make the tests a bit easier."

"What's the fun in that? You should know the knowledge. Especially with me helping you with the homework. Even though I clearly shouldn't."

We pull into the driveway and hop out of the Impala. "When are you going to get rid of this pimpmobile, Cass?" Dean asks.

"When I die," I reply. Dean unlocks the door and the four of us walk inside. "Dean, you smell. Go take a shower." I lightly push him, making him give me a glare. He's smiling though, and chuckling as the three of them walk upstairs.

The two teens walk into their rooms, and I walk back outside. I take a seat on the porch, waiting for Sam and Gabe to show up. The real ones. A couple minutes later, I see them walking down the street. We make eye contact and I sigh. They walk over and up onto the porch.

"Nice house you got here, Cassie," Gabe smirks.

"Dean isn't here, is he?" I ask, glancing at the door.

"No, only us," Sam answers.

"They're going to freak out if they see you two," I hiss.

All of a sudden, I hear something crash from inside. We share a glance and I sigh. I open the door a bit, ready to yell at the teens.

"Sorry, Cass!" Dean yells from upstairs. I chuckle softly, thinking he probably slipped getting out of the shower.

"You're an idiot, Dean!" Little Sam yells.

"Both of you, be quiet!" I yell. "I have company!"

"Who is it?!" Little Sam and little Gabe ask, yelling loudly. I hear them climb down the stairs and sigh.

"Go to your rooms!" I yell back. "Or you're both grounded! Special homework for you two also!"

"No!" They yell, running back up the steps.

I roll my eyes, closing the door. I turn back to the older ones on the porch. "Sorry, you two seriously are crazy when you're younger," I sigh.

"How young?" Gabe asks, intrigued.

"17, both of you," I reply.

"Woah, seriously?" Sam asks. "What was that about homework?"

"I'm a teacher here, guys," I sigh. "You two just took a test of mine."

"Ew!" Gabe screeches.

"Be quiet! I don't want them to hear you!" I hiss.

"Cass, everything okay?" Dean asks, opening the door. I quickly turn around, seeing him in just a towel. He stares at the two older ones and turns to me. "What the hell is going on here?"

"Dean, go inside. I'm sure they don't want to see you in just a towel," I reply.

"They don't, but you do," Dean flirts.

"Go inside!" I groan, pushing him back and closing the door. Dean laughs on the other side. "Dammit, Dean!"

"What the hell was that about?" Sam asks.

"Cassie here likes Dean-o," Gabe says.

"I will kill you, Gabriel. You're human here," I threaten. He puts his hands up in defense. "I'm not going back."

"Why'd you leave, Cass?" Sam asks softly.

"Why else? I'm tired of Dean leaving only to hook up with girls all the time. It's been three months, guys," I say.

"It's been over a week," Sam says. "Time passes by faster in Djinn world."

"How'd you guys find me anyway? I told Daniel not to talk to you."

"He wasn't that good at keeping a secret," Sam laughs softly.

"Go away, both of you. I'm staying here," I tell them. I open the door, and walk inside. They quickly slide in, stopping it from closing.

Dean, and the two teens are on the couch watching TV. They look over at us and gasp. The teens rush over to the older versions and start talking about all of the differences. I walk over to Dean, pulling him upstairs quickly. I lead him into our bedroom and close the door, locking it.

"Who were they?" Dean asks.

"Sam and Gabe, older versions," I reply.

"Older versions?" Dean asks. "That means there's an older me?"

"Yeah," I sigh. "He's not here though, thankfully."

"How is that even possible?" Dean asks.

"Because I'm not from here," I sigh. "This, it's all a dream. As much as it feels real, it's not. The real you would never be with me."

"And how do you know that?" Dean asks.

"Because you're with different girls every night, Dean. I'm clearly just a friend to you out in the real world," I reply.

"This is insane, Cass. In every single universe, I would always pick you. And only you," Dean says.

"Yeah, well, you're not so forward in that universe. You keep your emotions bottled up and then you drink them away," I reply.

"How would that even work? I do have a job, don't I?" He asks.

"Yes, Dean. You do. You work with Sam. Saving the world. Saving people, hunting things. That's the family business. John taught you two everything you knew," I tell him.

"If I supposedly keep my emotions bottled up, how do you know all of this?" He asks.

"Because I gripped you tight and raised you from perdition," I say. "Granted, I almost threw you back to Hell when you stabbed me."

"I did what?" Dean asks.

"It didn't do anything, don't worry. Only a blade could kill me there, unless I lost my grace," I say.

"You're not making any sense. Why are you here then?" He asks.

"Because I was tired of seeing you with everyone other than me. I couldn't take it anymore. I tracked down a Djinn and convinced her to send me here." The door opens, and I sigh. "Can't you two give me some peace?!"

"It's time to go, Cassie," Gabe says. He pulls out an angel blade he must've traveled with.

"What the hell?!" Dean yells, pulling me into his chest.

"Dean," I sigh. "I'm sorry. I have to go. If I don't leave, they'll tell the real you why I refused to leave."

"Cass, it's time to go. Quick goodbye, okay?" Sam says.

I give Dean a quick peck on the cheek, not wanting Sam or Gabe to see anything more. I wish I could do more, but I'd rather leave than have the real Dean find out my secret. Gabe hands me the blade and I quickly drive it into my chest.

I take a big breath, sitting up from the hospital bed. Next Gabe follows, then Sam. Dean stands up and rushes over to me. "Cass, what the hell?!"

"I'm sorry, Dean," I lie. I glance over to Gabe and Sam, seeing them sigh.

"I won't say anything," Gabe whispers, only loud enough for me and Sam to hear. Sam nods, as if saying he won't either.

"What the hell could've kept you trapped up in there for over a week?" Dean asks.

"It's nothing, Dean," I say harshly.

I rip the machines and wires from me, standing up from the bed. Gabe is by my side, helping me stand up. I'm a bit sore, but in the next couple minutes my grace will replenish my health.

Gabe helps me out of the room and over to the elevator. Sam and Dean quickly slide in next to us. By the time we get to the bottom, I'm about half way there. When we reach the bottom, we see about ten doctors/nurses together. I listen into the conversations.

"What's going on around here? These coma patients pass away in under two weeks. Nothing seems to work. That Novak patient? I wouldn't be surprised if he was dead within the next two hours. He's shut down quicker than any of them."

"Even if he does wake up, he's going to need intensive surgery and physical therapy."

I walk over to them and huff. "I don't think that's necessary," I add.

Everyone in the room goes silent. They all turn to me with shock. "How..?"

I use my grace to heal myself the rest of the way, my eyes glowing blue and light radiating through me. My wings illuminate on the wall behind me. Soon enough, everything goes back to normal. I turn to the three behind me and roll my eyes. "Are you ready to go?"

"Hold on, who are you?" A guard asks.

I tilt my head and furrow my eyebrows. "My name is Castiel. I thought we established this already?"

He quickly slaps cuffs on my wrists. Sam and Dean charge at the guard, but Gabriel holds them back. "He can get out of them. Let him," Gabe whispers.

"This can't hold me," I tell the guard.

"I beg to differ," the guard challenges.

In one quick movement, the cuffs snap in half. I hold my hands out for him to see. Everyone stares at me in shock. "That was nothing."

"Okay..." the guard trails off.

I turn around to Gabriel and walk over to him. "Go to the patients. Wake up as many as you can. Take Dean with you. Sam and I will kill the Djinn."

Gabriel puts his hand on Dean's shoulder, then they're gone. Sam comes to stand next to me, so we face the guards and doctors.

"How do you expect them to wake up 15 patients, let alone one?" Someone asks. He looks like the head of the hospital.

"If needed, I will take Sam and we will help. Gabriel woke me up, and I can do the same," I tell them.

A different guard approaches me. "You expect us to believe you? You could be killing them for all we know."

He goes to punch me in the face, but I grab his fist. He stares at me in shock, before his eyes flash to black. "Is that..?" Sam asks.

I press my hand to his forehead and use my grace to kill the demon. The head of the hospital starts to yell. "You just killed someone!"

He walks over to me, but I press two fingers to his forehead. He drops to the ground and everyone gasps. "The demon is dead. The director is asleep. Any more questions?" I ask. Sam stifles a laugh beside me.

The elevator door opens and three people walk out. Three of the Djinn victims. Doctors rush over to them and help them walk.

"Castiel, good job. You said you'd get them awake. No idea how you did, but I thank you. I'm sorry about my boss, by the way. I saw the eyes. I understand what you did," a doctor tells me.

"Thank you," I tell her.

"May I ask what you are? I've always been a big mythology fan. Took some courses even though I trained to become a doctor."

"Seraph. Angel Of The Lord," I tell her.

"Cass!" Sam hisses. "This is going to be all over the news. Keep your filter."

"What did I say wrong?" I ask.

"Sorry about him. He has no social cues. Makes him talk too much or do random things," Sam tells her, dragging me to the elevator.

•••

After that, we helped Gabe and Dean wake up the patients. We got into the Impala pretty quickly after that. Gabe and I in the back, with Sam and Dean up front.

"There's no way one Djinn can do that to sixteen people in under two weeks without getting caught," Sam says.

"She was caught, Sam. I know where she is. I found her in the first place," I reply.

"Why the hell did you even go out, Cass?!" Dean yells. "If you found a case you should've taken us with you!"

"Maybe because I didn't want to be found," I retort.

"Okay, why the hell would you even throw yourself at a Djinn?" Dean asks. "Daniel said you wanted to get trapped. Then it took over a week to get you out? Even with Sam and Gabe it took two hours to get you out. You could've killed yourself as soon as you got there. What was so good that you wanted to be there?"

"It's your best fantasy coming true, Dean. Some people don't have the courage to leave that place. They might think it's better than real life, so they stay," Sam says. "It certainly was better for Cass in there."

"Sam," I say sternly. "Do not say anything."

"Not even you being a teacher?" Gabe snickers.

"You want to be a teacher?" Dean asks.

"I've never gotten to be able to go to school. I missed the experience. Teaching to kids-"

"Teens," Gabe butts in.

"Okay, teaching to teens, it lets them learn about stuff I was there for. Getting the facts right. Even taught these two little shits some stuff," I say.

"Castiel!" Gabe gasps. "He must've taught you some really bad language when you were there."

"I've known it, but I started to say it when I was there," I shrug.

"He?" Dean asks.

"My best friend in there," I lie.

Gabe snickers, causing me to smack him. "Cassie!" Gabe groans.

"Then stop. Dean, go to the nearest Warehouse. Right down the road from here."

•••

When we arrived, we managed to kill three of the four Djinn's. The only one left is the one who sent me in the coma. The four of us meet in the middle and the Djinn shows up.

"Castiel, you're back. Who's your friend? Besides the Winchester's, of course."

"Gabriel," he says.

"The Archangel?" She asks, fear shown across her face.

"The one and only," Gabe says, a small chuckle leaving his lips.

"Where'd you send Cass?" Dean asks.

"So he doesn't know?" She asks. "Well this aught to be fun. Little Castiel didn't happen to mention his crush, did he?"

Before she can get anything else out, Sam comes from behind and stabs her in the back. She drops to the floor and sighs. "Sorry, Cass."

"It's okay, Sam. I'm going to go find Jack," I say.

"He's been gone for a month, Cassie. Need some help?" Gabe asks.

"He's hiding, trying to figure out his powers. Maybe if I concentrate on the patterns I'll be able to find him," I say.

"Now hold on," Dean says. "Why am I the only one who can't find out?"

"What do you mean?" Only Sam and Gabe will find out. Not Jack, not Jody, or Donna, or Claire, or Alex. Nobody. They weren't even supposed to find out," I reply.

"Hey, just because you wanted to stay in your fantasy world and make out with Dean, it doesn't mean we shouldn't have tried," Sam says harshly. My eyes open wide, so does Gabe and Sam's. We exchange a glance and Sam sighs. "Shit."

"Wait, so let me get this straight. Cass has a crush on me?" Dean asks.

"Well it's kinda hard to get things straight if you're not straight," Gabe says. I glare at him, making him chuckle. "Sorry, sorry. Come on, Samsquatch. Let's leave these lovebirds to a little peace and quiet."

"Since when is there ever peace and quiet when you're involved?" I ask Gabe.

"Just tell him, Cassie!"

"He already knows!" I reply.

Someone grabs onto my shoulder, turning me around. A pair of lips instantly crash onto mine and I realize they're Dean's. I melt into the kiss after the realization sinks in. Gabe and Sam cheer in the background, but I ignore them. Dean pulls away and stares at me with a smirk.

"That any better than the Djinn dream?"

"Just shut up and kiss me," I reply, smashing my lips back onto his.

Dean laughs against my lips and pulls away, only to lean his head against mine. "You gonna answer my question or are we gonna stand here all day?"

"It's better, Dean. In there I was stuck with two 17-year-old idiots," I reply.

"Hey!" Sam and Gabe whine.

I turn to face them, still in his grasp. "You two shut up! Gabe was the cause of Sam being an idiot!"

"I was never an idiot!" Sam replies.

"Tell that to your test scores!" I yell back.

"If Gabe distracted me it was his fault!"

"Don't blame this on me!" Gabe whines. "I heard that crash in the house. I bet that was you falling down the steps!"

"Gabe, that was Dean tripping to get out of the shower," I reply. "It happened every day."

"You're kidding me," Dean laughs.

"Nope, you had awful balance," I laugh.

"Whatever," Dean groans. "Let's just get home, okay?"

•••

And that was that. The occasional bickering about then Djinn world, alongside working cases with the two brothers. It was all I could ask for. Dean and I stayed together and Sam and Gabe ended up dating. They liked pranking each other, all three of them. Gabe always won, of course, until he was kicked out for cheating by using his abilities.

Dean admitted he always had feelings for me, and he always knew he was bi. He didn't know how well that would go with me (or Gabe) since we're both Angels.

Never again would I let my fears consume me. It's better to face them head on. And if I needed to, I knew I could always count on any of them. Even Jack.

Jack decidedly came back to join the fun one day, scaring all of us when we came back to the bunker. It was a nice surprise though. He had gotten Dean some pie, Gabe some candy, Sam a salad, and me some PB&J. I ate it anyway, hoping to get the same taste I did when I was human. It was nice to have Team Free Will 2.0 back together, even with Gabe there too.

The happy ending was even better than what I could've ever dreamed of. No Djinn could create this. The family, the happiness, it was the best thing imagined. We were one big family, together once again.
