Two Shady Babysitters

*this fanfic takes place when Dean and Cas are babysitting. i have no idea who in their right mind would ask them to babysit, but it would make  a cute story so screw logic. i have absolutely no idea how long this is going to be.

Dean aimlessly tossed his worn leather jacket towards the coat rack, missing and sent it flying into the wall. Cas, who was coming in after Dean, mimicked him, as he sometimes did and tossed his trench coat at the rack, though unlike Dean's jacket, it actually landed on it. "Remind me why these people need two guys watching their kids?" Dean said as he turned to face his angel, who wasn't exactly paying much attention. "Cas." Dean Snapped grabbing Cas's shoulder turning him in his direction.

They both became quiet, staring at each other as they do a lot. (AN: A LOT.)  but their gaze was broken when earsplitting shrieking flooded in from the other end of the house. Out of instinct, both ran towards the screaming, Dean's gun blazing and Cas's angel blade at the ready. Dean busted through the door with his heavy black biker boots, not to find any sort of threat but instead a chubby little five year old leaning over the side of a crib, harshly prodding a smaller child who was around two. "Hey! Hey! Hey! what do you think you're doing?"Dean shouted as he hurried to pry the kid away from the infant.

He snatched the boy off the floor and set the kid down on the other side of the turquoise room,"What the hell was that for?" Dean asked as he hunched over exasperated looking down at the kid's fat little face. "YOU'RE NOT MY MOMMY! YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!" the little brat shrieked, stomping his feet on the carpet obviously not intimidated by the tall man with the gun. "Cas, back me up here." Dean huffed through his teeth. But the angel had turned his attention yet again away from Dean and towards the screaming infant in the crib. He looked at it with a mix of confusion and utter terror at how such a small being could produce such a shrilling noise. "Dean. how do I get it to stop? Dean. Dean." Castiel asked turning his head to the hunter. "I don't know, pick it up or somethin'." Cas did as Dean instructed and started to bounce the child up and down as he did in 9x06. (AN: did i break the fourth wall? Can i do that?)

The wailing only became louder. Cas spun around, wearing a horrified expression, still holding the baby, looking for Dean's assistance, but he had his own problem, the five year old (AN: let's call him Tim to avoid confusion. and the two year old can be Mike,) had broken loose.  with in less than a half and hour everything was seeming to fall apart, Dean was still chasing Tim around the house, tripping over scattered toys and poorly placed furniture. While Cas was on the verge of losing his mind from the  relentless screaming. He continued pacing around the room trying to get the baby to fall asleep. "please," he whispered, "don't."

At last, Dean's chase came to an end. As the brat tired and slowed down. Dean didn't risk missing his chance and swept up Tim and hurried to his room and tucked him in so tightly he wouldn't be able to wiggle free. Cas, however, was not that lucky. Finally in a last effort, he placed two fingers on the child's soft warm forehead. The crying stopped. As carefully as possible he set Mike down in his crib. finally free at last. Castiel wandered into the living room where Dean was laying half-asleep on the couch. He stood over Dean for a moment, his tie was gone, sleeves rolled at his elbows, and his collar undone. After a moments hesitation he collapsed onto the sofa, letting the back of his head fall into Dean's lap.

Dean's eyes widened, but he didn't complain, Cas was warm and his throat was too raw from shouting during his wild chase to say anything. They remained like this all night. (AN: *eyebrow wiggle*) eventually Dean woke up to Cas curled up, still on his lap, "Cas," Dean whispered, as he poked his shoulder. But the dark haired angel was too out of it, and remained asleep, so Dean was left with no choice but to sit there for another hour in still darkness till Cas finally woke up. He may or may not have been playing with Cas's hair. (AN: he was.)

"Time to go?" Cas asked drowsily. "ya. their parents 'll be back any moment." Dean said, stretching his arms up in the air, pretending he only just woke up. He does have a reputation to keep after all.

I'm going to end it here, because idk how to end things. i hope you enjoyed my first SPN fanfiction, i'll try to finish more one shots soon. forgive me if it's not 'fluffy' enough i don't understand romance in the slightest. ;)
