The Beach {PLZ KILL ME}
Dean Winchester sat back in his rocking chair, with an empty beer bottle in his hand. The corners of his eyes were crinkled and his smile wasn't so bright anymore. His feat ached even when he was sitting down. His old age made even the smallest of tasks difficult. Dean lived alone in the small trailer park, it was always quiet, except for today. There was rally in the streets.
"The god damned newspaper is late!" He cursed to himself.
He didn't want to go outside, for the fear of someone knocking over his, already brittle, body.
He decided to turn the news on the TV on. He turned up his hearing aids and squinted to read the small print on the TV.
The president was standing behind a podium saying big words that Dean couldn't understand. "Cas would have been able to figure out what he was saying." He chuckled to himself.
"So, I'm proud to say, Gay Marriage is now legal."
Dean fell back in his chair, he was the happiest he'd ever been since the death of his lover. "Finally!" He mumbled and went and sat on the porch.
The sadness in his eyes was unbearable, as he looked around and saw many couples hugging and kissing in the streets. "It only took them 80 years Cas."
A couple holding hands walked by and saw Dean's sadness.
"What's wrong sir?"
He sighed and tried to stand up. "I just... I miss him."
The two girls 'awed' and walked off as Dean went inside and pulled out a pen, piece of paper, and the old turntable.
"Dear Cas," he wrote in his neatest handwriting. "You'll never believe it. Today they made gay marriage legal. It could have been us. But I know your still there. I'll be with you again soon my darling." In the background, their old song was playing.
"Wise men say, only fools rush in..." A single tear slipped down his face.
"It only took them 80 years, huh? I saw so many couples, they reminded me of us. Young and wild. So in love that it drove them crazy. It would have been so nice, to get married that is."
Dean continues writing the letter. He writes about his day, and how he was thinking about going back to the beach.
He signed the bottom. "See you then, Cas~ yours forever, Dean."

Two days later, Thursday July 21st, a body was found on the beach. He was clutching a letter and a Polaroid picture. There was even a small smile on his face.

At the gates of heaven, there was a white light. The light dimmed slowly, before his brother, Sammy appeared.
"Dean, god has told me that you cannot pass this gate."
The mirror off to his left revealed that he was in his 20s again.
"You are however allowed to speak to one soul, before you are cast down to hell. Only if you are in someone else's heaven you can stay."
"Nice seeing you again Sammy!"
"You too Dean." He patted his brother on the back and vanished.
"Castiel Winch- Novak."
With that, a light flashed.
"I knew I would see you again. I couldn't help falling in love with you." Cas smiled.
"This is the end Cas." Dean's face was blank.
"I'm not letting you go, again. You're staying with me, in my heaven. Forever and Always."
Dean pulled him in for a kiss. A kiss that he had been waiting 60 years for.
They locked eyes and intertwined their fingers. "I love you Castiel Novak. Will you marry me?" There was no ring, just lust and loneliness in Dean's eyes.
"I will Dean. I couldn't imagine saying no."

In their personal heaven, they took pictures, drank milkshakes, and dances to Elvis on the beach. Everything was going to be okay, just like they had promised each other, all those years ago.
They danced and Dean opened his mouth to speak. "I love-" Cas cut him off by pressing their lips together again.
Happy Thursday my lovelys.
