65. Battle To The Death
"Dean, there's too many of them!" Cas shouted.
"Cas, just chill. We can do this. Get your head in the game."
"I can't! They're going to kill us!"
"Just keep shooting!"
And just like that, Cas was surrounded. There were just too many. He was dying.
"Cas, you can't just die on me!" Dean yelled.
"I'm sorry, Dean. It's too late."
"No it's not. I can save you."
But Cas was already dead.
"Dammit, Cas!" Dean shouted.
"A peashooter can only do so much, Dean. You're going to have to revive me."
"Well, where the hell are you? I'm getting surrounded by these friggin zombies."
Dean and Cas had found a PS4. They had finished a hunt, and killed a werewolf in his house. And Cas became intrigued by the gaming console.
The PS4 version of Plants Vs. Zombies was already inserted, so they decided to play that.
They were addicted.
"Great! They wiped us out!" Dean groaned, tossing his remote to the couch.
"I'm sorry." Cas muttered.
"Don't be. At least we made it through nine waves."
"I suppose."
"It's getting late, we should get back to the bunker."
"Can we bring the game and the console?"
Dean half grinned. "Yeah, but we need to do it quickly."
They loaded the console and the game into the back of the Impala and hit the road. Cas was eager to get back so he could play again. He spent most of the ride contemplating battle strategies.
Once they arrived, Cas quickly got out and carried the gaming system inside. He set it down on the table in the library.
"I have no idea how to set this up."
Dean chuckled. "We can do that tomorrow. You should get some rest."
"No, no, no! I just want to finish one level! Just one!"
"Cas, it's almost midnight."
"I don't care!" He let out a long yawn.
"C'mon, man. You're getting tired."
He started rubbing his eyes. "No I'm not." He mumbled.
A smirk played at Dean's lips. "Cas, go to bed. The PS4 will still be here when you wake up."
"But... it will get lonely without someone using it."
Dean chuckled. "Alright, if you can get ready for bed in five minutes, I'll let you play one level. Just one." He began to feel like a parent dealing with their child.
Cas immediately perked up, a smile spreading across his face. "Okay! Thank you!" And he took off so he could get ready.
Dean smiled to himself. He glanced over at the PS4. "How in the hell do you set this thing up?"
He waited for a little while and went to Cas's room. He walked in and saw Cas haphazardly dressed, asleep on the bed, his feet hanging off the edge.
Dean chuckled quietly. "Cas?" He whispered. No response. Just a light snore.
He repositioned him so he was laying on the bed the right way. He ran his fingers through the angel's hair. He gave him a kiss on the forehead and whispered, "Goodnight, 'Gamestiel'."
He decided to sleep in there with him. He held his little angel close and soon fell asleep.
(A/N: So yeah I love that game :3
I AM BEING FORCED TO MOVE TWO STATES AWAY SO I'M GONNA CHAIN MYSELF TO THE TREE IN OUR BACKYARD BECAUSE WHILE IT MAY BE BORING AS HELL HERE I'LL TAKE HELL ANYDAY BECAUSE LIFE WITHOUT MORGAN IS HELL SQUARED! *sucks in deep breath*
We've been discussing this, and she keeps trying to impart wisdom on me. What's that about? You know, I feel tempted to tell the story of how we met, but I think I'll save it for our children and we can reenact the events of Ted Mosby (which just got turned into red microwave by autocorrect XD) and take eight years to tell the story.
WAIT HOLD THE PHONE!
I SHALL WRITE A DESTIEL ONE SHOT IN WHICH THEY WILL MEET BASED ON HOW I MET MORGAN! *whispers* that's genius.
Yeah, that's my life. So, how's it goin?
Okay bye.
Peace Off My Mini Marshminions!)
