Party

Set in AU

It started with a party. The party of the year.

It was the night after the last day of school in Lawrence, Kansas, and as a way to kick off the summer, Michael Shurley was throwing a party.

Michael was the captain of the football team, and he lived in a huge house that came pretty close to a mansion. He was the prom King, the most popular kid, and he invited the whole school to the party.

The entire school, including all of the geeks and nerds that would usually have been left out of popular kids parties. But Michael was good like that. He was a little spoiled, but he at least made an effort to include everyone, and you couldn't hate him for that.

The Novak kids, all six of them, couldn't wait to go. Except for Castiel, of course. He hated parties. All the loud, awful music, the yelling people. It was too much, and frankly, he hated it. But he was being forced to go to Michael's end of the year bash.

"You're going." Lucifer, his older brother declared. "And you're gonna have a great time."

"No, I won't." Castiel confirmed. "I hate parties, Luci, you know that."

"I know," Luci whined. "But I promise Mikey that all my siblings would be there, and that they'd bring their friends." Yes, Lucifer was Michael's boyfriend. A fact that just made avoiding the party even worse.

"I don't want to go! I'll just end up cowering in a corner until somebody takes me home." Cas declared, and he wasn't wrong.

"Charlie's going."

"Charlie is not socially awkward."

"Dude, either you let ME force you to go, or I'll unleash the angry red lesbian on you." Castiel's eyes widened in horror. Charlie was his best friend, but if she thought he was going to chicken out of going to a party, well.... It wouldn't end well for Cas.

"Alright." Castiel gave a long suffering sigh. "I'll go."

"YES! You're the best, Cassie! And you'll have a great time, you'll see."

"Uh huh."

Dean Winchester wasn't a huge party person, but he showed up to Michael's party because hey, Michael was his friend and it was always nice to hang out with friends.

The house was packed when Dean arrived, to no one's surprise. It was Kansas. There wasn't much to do, so a party was something almost nobody passed up on.

It was intoxicating, the thrill of it all. The music thumping through the house, people dancing, laughing, playing games, and drinking way too much of the fruit punch that Crowley had totally spiked earlier.

Some people were holed up in one room, playing beer pong, while others had jumped into the in-ground pool in the back of the house. The party fever quickly infected Dean, and before he knew it, there was a drink in his hand and he was swaying along to the music as he moved around the house.

After awhile, Dean turned into a less crowded room to catch a break. It was a calm living room, and Dean paused at the sight of someone on one of the couches. It was a dark-haired kid about his age, with blue eyes. He sat boredly on the couch, kinda looking like he wanted to go home.

Setting down his cup, Dean walked over.

"Hey," He started. The boy glanced up at him, and Dean let out a hum. Mystery boy's eyes were soooooo blue.

"Hello." The boy offered.

"Not a party fan?" Dean guessed.

"Not really." The boy half smiled at him. Dean could hear a new song being clicked on, and an idea popped into his head. He held out a hand to the boy.

"Wanna dance?" He asked.

And Cas wasn't sure why, but he took the boy's hand, and let him lead him onto the dance floor.

After several cups of spiked fruit punch, and a lot of bad dancing, Dean and Cas, although still not knowing each other's names, were besties.

"NO WAY," Dean gasped as they talked around the sound of the music. "You watch Doctor Who too?"

"YES!" Cas confirmed.

"Favorite Doctor- go."

"The Eleventh Doctor, obviously."

"No way- David Tennant or nothing. Tenth Doctor."

"Oooooo, David Tennant...."

"Yeah....Wait, Star Wars or Star Trek?"

"STAR WARS." Dean gasped.

"Luke or Leia?" He questioned

"Leia. Luke was such a pussy." Cas paused. Yep. Too much punch. He never said things like that.

"I love Leia." Dean sighed happily. "Return of the Jedi, that bikini though."

"Eh, I'd rather have Han Solo." Cas insisted. "Young Harrison Ford..."

"Oh my gosh, I love Harrison Ford." Dean agreed.

"Young Han Solo is so cute." Cas muttered.

"Okay, you can have him, but I call dibs on Poe Dameron." Dean declared.

"Deal, but we'll split the Millennium Falcon."

"Oh totally. Can we share Chewy too?"

"YES."

The two wandered outside of the house, closer to the pool area. Dean paused, studying Cas.

"You know," He started. "You kinda look like Han Solo."

"I do not," Cas insisted, but Dean nodded.

"I can see it." He insisted. "In his whole outfit, I clearly picture it."

"Well, I dunno who you look like," Cas offered. "But you're cute."

"You're cuter."

"Am not."

"Are so, Han Solo."

"What was in that punch?"

"Demon blood or something, I don't know." They stared at each other.

"What's your name?" Cas asked suddenly, realizing he hadn't gotten it. Dean opened his mouth to reply, but someone came running around the pool area first and practically tackled him.

"HIIII!!!" The person declared. It was a younger boy, one that Cas assumed probably shouldn't be at a party with so much alcohol present.

"Sammy, what the heck," Dean started.

"I know you said I couldn't go, but I snuck out and went anyways and this party is AWESOME."

"Did you drink the punch?"

"No, why, is it good?"

"NO. Stay away. Stick to sodas you open yourself and don't even think about kissing anyone."

"What if I already have?" The younger boy smirked. "They were playing Spin the Bottle inside."

"Go home," Dean ordered.

"Awww, you're no fun."

"Not when I'm looking out for you, I'm not. Now go home."

"Who's your friend?" Sam questioned, eyeing Cas. Dean paused, realizing that he had no idea what this kid'a name was.

"He's Han Solo." Dean offered. Cas blinked in surprise.

"Han Solo?" Sam repeated.

"Yep. Pretty boy Han Solo with eyes bluer then the sky." Sam raised an eyebrow.

"Hey," He declared, an idea popping into his head. "Can Han Solo swim?"

"Yes." Cas confirmed.

"I don't know." Dean offered.

"Let's find out!" Sam proclaimed, and he shoved Cas. Cas's arms reached out, conveniently latching onto Dean, and sending them both crashing into the pool.

"SAMUEL!" Dean yelled out, but his brother had already run away, laughing. Dean sighed and turned to look at Cas. "Sorry about th- OH come on."

"What?" Cas asked, confused.

"That's just not fair." Dean declared, looking at Cas like he was made of gold. Cas tilted his head in confusion. "How the hell is your hair even sexier when it's wet?"

"I don't know." Cas blushed. He tried not to stare at Dean's socked shirt, which was clinging to his skin quite snugly.

They climbed out of the pool and Dean looked over at him.

"Hey Han Solo," He started slyly. "Ever been kissed by a football player?"

"No." Cas smiled.

"We should totally fix that then." Dean grinned.

"Okay."

Lucifer and Michael spotted them making out by the diving board ten minutes later. Satan smirked.

"I knew he'd have a good time," Lucifer commented.

"With a Winchester nonetheless," Michael commented. "Looks like all your siblings are having fun tonight."

"Wait, why all of them?"

"Meg found Gabriel in my hall closet, kissing some moosey freshman."

"Only Gabriel."

"Got that right."

Castiel was positive that Michael's party had been the greatest night of his life.

There was only one problem.

Mystery boy, the one he had spent the whole night with. He had no idea what his name was. No phone number, no address, no name. How could he find him now?

But thankfully for Cas, a fangirl came to the rescue as Charlie barged into his room. She didn't live at Cas's house, but nobody in the Novak house bothered to acknowledge that. Charlie had a key and let herself in whenever. They didn't care.

"DUDE, have you SEEN any social media this morning?!" She demanded.

"No." Cas confirmed. He didn't have any social media, figured it was a waste of time.

"Well, pictures from Michael's party are EVERYWHERE, and boy did people get into some messed up stuff."

"Oooo, lemme see."

They flipped through picture and video after picture and video of people dancing, getting way too drunk on spiked punch and doing stupid stuff, unusual pairings making out.

And then there was a brief, badly filmed clip of Cas and Dean falling into the pool.

"Wait, that's you!" Charlie commented, zooming in. "Who is that? Is that a freshman? Why would a freshman shove you into the pool?" Cas grabbed the phone, zooming in, but it was too grainy to get a good picture of mystery boy. Cas sighed.

But wait.... Mystery boy had been talking to the other kid, who's name Cas couldn't remember. The freshman who had shoved him into the pool. Cas zoomed in on his face.

"Do you recognize this kid?" He asked. Charlie studied the image with a frown.

"He looks a little familiar," She admitted. "Wait... I think I saw him on Jo's snapchat story!"

She grabbed her phone and flipped through until they stopped at another video.

"Somebody's been busted!" Jo's voice sang, filming the scene before them as Meg opened up a closet door, revealing a kissing couple.

Freshman boy was one of them, and he appeared to be kissing...

"Oh my god." Cas declared.

"Is that..." Charlie muttered. They exchanged a glance and bolted out of Cas's room.

"GABRIEL!" Cas shouted.

"What?" His brother questioned.

"I have a serious question and I need a serious answer." Cas declared. "Who did you make out with last night at Michael's party?"

Across the room, Balthazar spit out his drink and Lucifer burst out laughing.

"Uh....." Gabriel looked blankly at them. "You're gonna have to narrow it down a little..."

"This kid. Who is he?" Charlie offered, showing him the video. Gabriel smiled.

"Oh, that's Sam. Sam Winchester."

Something clicked in Cas's mind. Yes, that was right. The kid's name had been Sam.

"Doesn't he have a brother?" Charlie asked.

"Yeah, an older one. His name is Dean. He plays on the football team." Cas's eyes widened.

Ever been kissed by a football player?

Dean Winchester.

Mystery boy had a name.

"Do you know where the Winchesters live?" He asked suddenly.

"Wait why?" Gabriel questioned.

"Because I think I may have made out with Dean Winchester last night."

"OH, you definitely did." Lucifer confirmed. "You two were all over each other." Cas's face went red.

And I'm just learning this WHY?" Charlie demanded. "I need a ship name now. Dean and Cas.... Casdean? Deancas? Deastiel? OH! DESTIEL!!! SHIP IT!"

"He lives on Wesson street," Gabriel supplied. "67 Wesson street, to be exact. Look for the house with the old black Chevy out front."

Charlie and Cas exchanged a glance and then bolted out of the house, heading for Charlie's car.

Naturally, they drove to his house.

And Charlie forced Cas out of the car and made him ring the doorbell.

And then a familiar face, a guy with green eyes, opened the door, and a slow smirk grew on his face as he leaned against the door frame.

"Hello Dean," Cas offered. The smirk grew.

"Hey there, Han Solo." Dean replied with a wink.
