At nighttime, Marco, Edith, and Agnes sat on their knees on each of their tiny beds in their tiny room.

The siblings kneeled as they held their hands together, saying their prayers.

"...and please watch over us, and bless that we'll have a good night sleep." Marco finished.

"And bless that while we're sleeping no bugs will crawl into our ears and lay eggs in our brains!" Edith added mischievously as she reached out to Agnes, making her groan.

Marco sent Edith a disapproving look. "Great. Thanks for that image, Edith."

"And please bless that someone will adopt us soon. And that the mommy and daddy will be nice." Agnes pleaded with her eyes closed and hands clutched tightly.

"And have a pet unicorn. Amen." Agnes added.

Marco and Edith rolled their eyes at their baby sister.

"Amen." Marco and Edith said together before all three siblings climbed into their beds.

Marco took off his glasses and placed them on his nightstand before he turned off the lights.

"Unicorns I love them."
"Unicorns I love them."

Marco and Edith looked at Agnes and saw she was singing to her stuffed unicorn.

Marco and Edith just turned away from her.

"Uni, Uni, Unicorns. I love them." Agnes sung as she hugged her unicorn tight.

Edith groaned and pulled her pillow over her head to block out the singing.

"Uni, Unicorns, I could pet one."
"If they were really real, and they are!"
"So I bought one so I could pet it."
"Now it loves me, now I love it."
"La, La, La..."

As Agnes sung, the lights outside of the orphanage went out.

Outside of Vector's fortress, which had the pyramid painted in blue and clouds drawn on it, Gru, in a Rastafarian disguise, walked an artificial dog down the street.

A security camera atop one of Vector's walls rotated and tried to focus on Gru.

Gru leapt back and pinned himself to the wall.

Inside of his lair, Vector lounged on his couch playing video games as a shark and a school of fish swam underneath the floor.

~🚀~

Gru smirked and pressed a button on the leash, turning the dog into a periscope and used it to spy over Vector's wall.

~🚀~

As Vector was eating snacks, a security alert appeared on the screen. An image of Gru's periscope was shown.

He put the video game controller down and pulled out a large, intimating remote. He pressed a button.

A large laser gun emerged from the top of Vector's lair and fired at Gru's periscope, turning it into crisps.

~🚀~

As Vector sipped on a soda as he continued playing his game, Gru, dressed in gear, pressed a hearing device to the wall.

Only for a boxing glove to smash him in the face.

Later, Gru pole vaulted over the wall. He stood on the top and stroke a dramatic pose.

Inside, Vector pushed more buttons on his remote as he laid on his stomach and kicked his feet.

Multiple boxing gloves smashed Gru right in his crotch before knocking him off the wall.

Gru used a jet back to fly over the wall, he pulled his guns out.

Vector played his remote like a guitar. A giant catapult flung Gru off the roof.

Gru aimed a bazooka at the front gate.

Until the gate slammed down on him before he could even fire.

~🚀~

Gru opened a manhole outside the fortress and was about to hop in, until a giant shark popped out of the manhole and chomped on him.

Gru climbed up the fortress with a rope.

Then, giant saws sliced through Gru's rope as he scaled the wall, knocking him off the wall.

Vector rubbed the remote with his bum, making the final blow.

Finally, one million other weapons transform from the rope to combine one last forceful deterrent on Gru.

A huge explosion erupted.

Gru, beaten and burnt and bruised, climbed out of a crater from rubble across from Vector's Fortress, coughing.

Then, Gru saw Marco, Edith, and Agnes approaching Vector's front gate.

Marco carried Agnes on his back while Edith traipsed after them.

"Oh, good luck, little kids." Gru chuckled bitterly to himself as he pulled out his binoculars, reading Marco's clipboard that said; 'Miss Hattie's Home For Children.'

Once the security camera caught side of the siblings, the millions of guns emerged from Vector's dome, aimed at the siblings.

Agnes gasped and hid behind Marco in fright as he and Edith took a step back.

"Whoa! Cool!" Edith marveled.

"Uh...hi! We're orphans from Miss Hattie's Home For Children!" Marco addressed the camera nervously.

"I don't care. Beat it!" Vector's voice demanded from the camera.

"Come on! We're selling cookies, so, you know, we can have a better future!" Marco tried to persuade.

"Oh! Wait, wait, um, do you have coconutties?" Vector asked.

"Uh, yeah."

All of the guns retracted and the gates opened, allowing the Siblings to go in.

Gru watched with wide eyes as the three kids walked through the gates.

A plan began to form in his head, and for a minute, Gru could see the Siblings carrying the Shrink Ray.

Gru's eyes lit up.

"Lightbulb!"

He flipped open his cellphone and dialed Dr. Nefario.

"Dr. Nefario!"

"Huh?"

"I'm going to need a dozen tiny robots disguised as cookies!"

"What?"

"Cookie robots!" Gru repeated himself with an annoyed tone.

"Who is this?"

"Cookie-oh, forget it." Gru shook his head and hanged up his phone.

He smirked when he saw Marco, Edith, and Agnes walking out of the gates.

He laughed evilly, the Shrink Ray would be his in no time.
