Jade POV

It had taken some time to convince Damian to let Roman I the house and I had ended up bribing him with dinner at his favourite restaurant to get him to leave us alone to talk.

I understood he wanted to protect me and he didn't trust Roman after he had walked out on me earlier. It was just Damian's way, if someone hurts me he becomes my protector, if I do something stupid he's understanding but let's it be known he thinks I'm an idiot, and when I'm down he acts like a complete dork to cheer me up.

After he had left I had made Roman a coffee and we had gone to sit outside in the back yard to talk, only so far neither of us had said anything. Roman has been sat playing with his coffee cup while I've been studying face looking for any clue as to what he wants to say to me.

"I know it's none of my business but have to ask" Roman says breaking the awkward silence "is he the reason neither of us have heard from you"

"Damian? No of course not" I say "he's my friend, he's like my big brother, contrary to what you clearly think of me I don't go from man to man"

"I would never think that of you" he says "I'm sorry for the way that came across, I just wanted to understand what the situation was"

"Well now you know" I say "today didn't go how I planned, I had it in my head exactly what I was going to say and it all went sideways, this whole thing was already a mess and this has just made it worse" I sigh

"I'm sorry I walked out like that, I just needed a moment to get my head around it" he says "I want you to know that I'm going to be there for you every step of the way, I want to support you in any way I can"

"Thank you" I say "although I'm surprised you don't hate me as much as Trevor does"

"I could never hate you babygirl" he says taking my hand in his "I can't becuase I still love you, I've missed you everyday since you left, all I've wanted was for my phone to ring and you to tell me that I was the one you wanted"

"You know it's crazy what it takes to make you see what you really want" I say "I knew the second I looked at that positive pregnancy test, everything became clear in that moment" I say giving his hand a gentle squeeze and smiling "and then I found myself wondering, will he still want me, it's been a while, and well I guess I just got my answer"

Roman POV

For the second time in as many months I felt my heart break, becuase I knew she wasn't talking about me. I guess it shouldn't have come as a surprise that she had chosen him but I always clung to that hope that she would want me as much as I wanted her.

Holding her hands in my mine I gently rub the back of them with my thumbs before raising them to my lips and kissing each one softly. I turn my gaze to the eyes that I have looked into so many times and let out a soft sigh.

"He's a fool if he doesn't still want you" I say "I know the situation isn't ideal but I'm sure the two of you can figure things out just give him some time. I think I should go"

I let go of her hands and stand up from my seat, but the second I take a step away I feel her hand in mine and she grips it tightly.

"How can we figure things out if you leave?" She asks as I turn to look at her

"I'm still going to support you, I'm just going to stay out of the way while you and Trevor work things out" I say and to my suprise she smiles and chuckles softly before reaching up and placing her hand on my cheek

"I wasn't talking about Trevor" she smiles "I want you Roman"

"Really?" I ask as the biggest smile forms on my face

"Yeah" she says smiling back at me "I love you"

"I love you too babygirl" I say closing the gap between us "you have no idea how much"

Wrapping my arms gently around her before leaning down and pressing my lips to hers. Once again I feel that same electricity I felt the day I met her. My hands stop at her hips gripping them softy as she wraps her arms around my neck.

"Hey, hey, you guys said you were going to talk" a voice says abruptly ending our moment "that don't look like talking to me, you can't talk when you're eating face"

"Seriously D" she sighs rolling her eyes "you couldn't just leave us to it?"

"No, becuase like it or not I care about you" he says "I don't want to see you making anymore bad choices, you have to do the right thing for you and the baby"

"Yes I've made a choice but it's not a bad one" she says lacing her fingers with mine and Damian's gaze turns to me

"What happens if the baby isn't yours?" He asks "Will you still want her then? Or will you leave her and hurt her?"

"I understand you want to protect her, I would too" I say "I love Jade, and you have my word that I'm not going anywhere, even if the baby isn't mine, I want to be with her no matter what"

Damian eyes me suspiciously before nodding his head and holding his hand out to me. I take his hand and shake it but his eyes stay on mine.

"It's nothing personal man I just don't want to see her get hurt" he says "but it goes without saying you hurt her, I'll hurt you"

"Understood" I say "but I have no intention of ever hurting her"
