Born under the same moon from two wombs, their mother's screams imprinted on the castle walls and loyalty infused into their fragile bones, Gisela and Jacaerys held the deepest affections for one another.

They grew, Gisela always an inch taller until their seventh birthday, as if it was inevitable, they stood eye to eye, shoulder to shoulder, destined to never look down upon one or the other.

But with the years that followed the death of Laenor Velaryon and the fracturing of house alliances, Gisela found home in the North. Her father's family, her appearance unknown to them, welcoming and with only letters tying them together, it was only a matter of time before the young Prince became unknown to his once dearest friend.

And yet when war approached, her loyalty did not falter. Gisela would sooner meet her match, a sword through her chest than bend the knee to the usurper King that sat the Iron Throne.

do i have another jacaerys fic with a hightower oc that i have been planning since december but neglected the second i thought of this one? yes. i couldn't help myself.

anyways, i am very excited to write this fic. it's very team black (i'm team black but i also like 90% of team green so...) and gisela is very much the girl that rhaenyra wanted to be when she was younger.
