One-shot #Coulence
AU: Human!Desime
Rating: PG13+
Penjelasan singkat:
Kalau versi Emo, dalam AU ini semua roh menjadi manusia, baik Junior, Senior, maupun bebas. Wujud manusia mereka bervarian.

'Diligence, this has been going on for too long, what else are we waiting for?'
'Patience, Knowledge, patience. One wrong move and we'll be assured of our downfall.'
'But if we don't act any time soon, what difference will it make?'
Diligence seemed to be at difficulty, his mind rummaging for helpful answers. He eyed the two out of his four warriors, both in urge to fight for their victory. He knows not to let them down, and the four warriors know not to let their chief down.
They were in an office—like room, perfect for official gatherings. The walls decorated with mahogany, the floors covered with carpet, and a huge window screen to let sunshine in. Though no sunshine is at presence, a cloudy weather could not hide such elegance of a room. In the middle of the room, a long rectangular table is located with six chairs set around it, sat by three people as of now.
Knowledge, the eldest of the four warriors. The smartest out of the four.
Determination, the third eldest of the four warriors. The most ambitious one at that.
And Diligence, their Chief.
At that moment, they were discussing a plan for the safety of the Deruu stone. The Deruu stone is an enchanted stone made of common granite. Legend has it that those who claimed ownership of the stone by drawing the stone's symbol by the sixth month of a year, a rainy full moon to top off it all, will receive full power to declare themselves as the most perfect human being in the whole world. And the next full moon is by two to three days to come, with a rainstorm predicted.
Said weather established a more tense situation for The Virtue side. The army from The Sin side could act at any time by now.
The wrought—up atmosphere was broken as the main door slammed open, revealing a short woman who looked like she was in a hurry. 'Chief! I got—' 'Don't forget to close the door, Honesty!' reminded Knowledge, 'we don't want anyone eavesdropping on us.' 'Ah, yes, sorry!' The lady quickly closed the door behind her, and ran after her seat by the long table.
Honesty, the second eldest warrior. The most honest, a bit rhetorical an information just by looking at her name.
Honesty sat down at her chair, and took a moment before speaking. 'I got information,' started Honesty, as she took another deep breath before starting again, 'snooped, I assure you all!'
'I am assured that you turned yourself in?' A voice startled the whole room. They turned to look at the owner of the voice. Another lady was standing not far from the table, but was unnoticeable. She stepped forward and joined the others by the table. 'Ah, Courage, but I did not turn myself in!' Honesty replied gleefully to the lady.
Courage, the youngest warrior. The bravest of the four.
'So everyone's here,' started Diligence, 'what were the information you have gathered, Honesty?' 'Well, Diligence, the Sin Side, specifically speaking, Wrath's League had found the location of the Deruu stone and marked it down!'
'Shit.. I knew they would act soon.' whispered Diligence. 'You know where the stone is?' 'They mentioned something about an abandoned building,' Honesty said slowly, trying to remember, 'um.. Something about the center of Aced—somethingtown.'
'Acediatown?' clarified Knowledge, 'then that will only make it easier for them Sinners!' 'Don't worry, Knowly,' Determination finally spoke up, 'I'm sure even I can take them.' Everyone looked at Determination as if she had said something wrong. 'I didn't mean it as a brag!' the small lady panicked, 'what I meant to say was, I'm sure this will be easy!'
'To be honest, not when Violence is the one guarding the place,' Honesty said, 'though of course Chaos is stronger, but he's still dangerous enough for us.'
Violence, the second eldest of Wrath's four warriors. The most brutal warrior and is a sucker for pain.
Chaos, the youngest of Wrath's four warriors. He who presents himself at the face of war and invites anarchy.
'Violence, you say?' asked Diligence, confirming. 'Let me take him down!' little Determination offered energetically, 'I know I can handle him!' Staring at his third warrior, Diligence sighed, smiled, and stood up from his chair. He walked over to Determination's chair and ruffled her hair playfully. He bent down to her eyes' level and spoke softly. 'We all love your ambition, Determy, but this job is not for you,' Diligence smiled at his little, yet tough warrior reassuringly, 'I have something else for you, in which I'm sure you would succeed well. Okay?'
Determination stared into her Chief's eyes. Unknown by Diligence, the four warriors have always seen him as a father figure of theirs, which is heart—warming. Determination smiled and nodded greatly in reply. 'Okay.'
Diligence fixed his posture into a perfect stand, and took a great look at all four of his warriors. He intentionally fell silent, just to get a grasp of the tense feeling around them.
'Courage,'
Courage eyed Diligence's own, signaling she's ready to take orders.
'I need you to be the one to fight off Violence.'
~•~
'Didn't think I'd meet you here this fast,' said Courage softly, but still audible across the abandoned room, 'Violence.'
'Heh, didn't think I'd meet you at all,' replied Violence, who slowly advanced towards the smaller lady with his spiky club, 'Coury.'
Courage was caught roaming in the halls of the said abandoned building in Acediatown, where the Deruu stone lays, by Violence. They ended up in one of the deserted grey rooms and started aggressively at each other.
Advancing slowly towards her opponent, she tightly held her giant blue throwing star, also known as a shuriken. 'Why? You scared?' teased Courage, with a cold yet aggressive tone.
Violence swinged his club around, not advancing any faster. 'Fool, I'd be thinking about you the whole time if I were,' he grinned an evil one, 'shame I wasn't, huh?'
Exasperated, Courage sped up and swung her star at Violence's torso, attempting to hurt him. Not so lucky for Courage, the male was unusually faster. He warded Courage's weapon with his spiky club, and had it attack it's owner herself. Courage groaned, wiping the small drips of blood running down her cheeks.
'Coury, dear Lucifer!' spat Violence, performing another attack with a swing of his club, 'we've only started out, and you're already bleeding?'
Luckily, Courage dived in through Violence's open legs before he attacked her the second time. 'Have I ever mentioned you're so full of shit,' she spat back, and sliced Violence's back without pity, 'that you're often caught off guard?'
They were both as agile as one another. Violence groaned as his back bled, but swiftly swinged his club to his side, attempting to hit Courage's head as he turned his body. Courage blocked the attack with her giant shuriken, kicking Violence's vulnerable shins while she's at it. With effort, Violence suppressed the pain his side was suffering, and plunged his club brutally at Courage's upper stomach, sending her to the wall.
'Kh—'
Tiny spots of blood started forming through Courage's clothes, specifically where her upper stomach was attacked.
Courage took a small moment to comprehend her Chief's order. 'By fight off do you mean to simply distract him, or—' 'I would pretty much recommend distract, but knowing Wrath, Violence wouldn't hesitate to finish you off,' Diligence spoke softly, causing another gast of tense air, 'so kill if must be.'
'But,' she thought, suppressing the small amount of pain she was suffering. Violence used his free hand to scratch at Courage's hands, drawing blood, 'he hesitated.'
'What are you doing? Game over already?' Violence asked with a bored face, his spiky club still pressed against her upper stomach, meanwhile his other arm stopped scratching her, 'come on, Coury, aren't you stronger than that?' Courage felt slightly lighter as Violence softened his club on her. However, Courage took it differently.
'You prick!' she spat as she unhesitatingly sliced through Violence's eyes, sending the male into the cold hard floor, unintentionally dropping his club and moaning in pain, 'don't fucking underestimate me!' She straddled Violence who was on his back, and continued slicing his face swiftly. Bright red blood were drawn on his face, fresh from the newly made scars. Violence whined in pain, his face felt as if it was burning, his face felt poignant. His eyes hurt the most, his juicy tender eyeballs are sliced open, sending massive tears of blood down the male's face.
'Violence wouldn't hesitate to finish you off.'
'You— you're this brutal, Coury?' Violence coughed out words through his bleeding face. As seconds go by, he carefully moved his hand a few inches closer to his club, which luckily was sitting not too far from him. 'And I— thought you were on— The Virtue side.' Violence kept mocking her distractingly, while his hand was working its task.
'Am I supposed to be scared right now?' she spoke greatly, 'Shame. I did a bad thing for a good reason.' 'Obno— xious as always— you are,' he whined, his hand working a little faster. Unluckily for him, he stretched his arm a little too violent, attracting Courage's attention to his hand.
'So kill if must be.'
Noticing how Violence was still ready to attack her whenever he had the chance, Courage swiftly plunged a sharp end of her shuriken down the poor male's stomach.
He automatically coughed out blood, choking and whining in pain. Courage stabbed him over and over again. She wasn't really caring how Violence felt, all she cared about was what she thought was right. If Violence won't stay out of their path to saving the stone from the greedy hands of Pride, then she would have no other choice but to get rid of him.
The feeling burnt him, from the outside and inside. Only one reason he was burning in the inside, and he was going to put up real effort between his gasps to explain, supressing the great deal of pain swimming through his body.
'I lo— love you— you idiot—'
Courage suddenly felt numb. Her body felt as if it had stopped working. Her body was unknowingly shaking, her breaths grew heavier.
'Wh— what?'
Violence was still choking and whining, trying to save himself a few more minutes. Survival? Not another chance, he will die soon.
'I ca— care you— for you. Why— did you— th— think I didn't ga— gave you my full strength?'
Courage stared at the dying man under her, bleeding without care from anybody. Her breath grew more intense, and so did her heartbeat. Her body shook heavily as she slowly comprehended what she had just heard.
'Wh— WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER, YOU PRICK?!'
Violence wanted to laugh and tease the distressed lady, just like the old times they used to hangout as kids. Chasing each other in the backyard, pulling silly pranks on each other— just being the crazy and warm friends, enjoying their childhood while it's sunshine and rainbows.
All was beautiful, until everything went grey. The two were separated apart by that one ugly monster The Virtue side had been trying to hold back from getting the Deruu Stone. Pride. That racist fucker who divides the world into two factions, The Sin side and The Virtue side. People from one faction antagonizes people from the other faction and vice versa. It was hard at first, but they finally grew into hating each other, thinking the other is bad.
So bad, that they ended up as only blood, tears, and memories.
Why must it end like this?
She only wanted her peace and friendliness back. It was beautiful, they would probably have ended up married and happy.
Why must it end like this?
'Why..?'
Drip.
The female's sobbing unknowingly grew louder and heavier as seconds go by, watching the life going out of her ex—opponent's eyes. She laid her head on his lifeless chest, sobbed violently and stressfully for him, such a cowardly way to accept someone's death.
'Why..? Sob.'
Drops of light rain began to flush down their surroundings, as if drifting along with the bravest warrior's grief. A great one, for him who still cared about her well being at such a deathly moment.
'I never wanted us to— to fight like that. Sob, never.'
Still sobbing just as hard and loud, Courage took a moment to stare at his face. He was, unnoticeable before, beautiful. Shame that only his corpse remained. Her breath was still unstable, tears were still running down her cheeks.
'Stop being such— such a coward, Coury. Tough ladies don't cry,' she spoke to herself between her unstable gasps, wiping away her abating tears.
Finally deciding to calm down, Courage wiped some blood off Violence's face with her clothes. She leaned into his face, and kissed his cheek. Pulling back, she smiled calmly as she caressed his spiky hair. 'I'm incredibly sorry. Sleep well, Violy.'
'Hide and seek as a game of destiny, from this round you—'
Still not wanting to let go of Violence, Courage did take her damn sweet time. It's about time Diligence called. She pulled out her phone from her side pocket and answered the call.
'Hello?'
Her voice cracked clearly, Courage listened in hopes of Diligence not noticing.
'Immediately close this call if you're still fighting.'
'No,' she said sadly, looking at Violence's corpse, 'I'm done.'
'Good, cause we've got the stone. Congratulations, Courage. Come home, I'm closing the call now.'
'....'
Courage pulled the phone away from her ear, held it weakly in her hand. Caressing Violence's hair one last time, she leaned in and whispered,
'Love you too.'
