Drabble #Practice Makes Perfect

'I can not believe this.'

Knowledge whined in exasperation, her hands going through her hair in despair. In front of her, Ignorance sat focused on his mobile game, ignoring his math homework.

Knowledge hated it when Ignorance simply neglected his schoolworks. She was trying her best to help him, but-

'You have slain an enemy!'

'Put that down!' Knowledge said strictly, snatching the gadget out of his hands.

'Hey!' Ignorance looked at his rival in protest, standing up from his seat, his hand trying to reach his phone, 'you don't understand. Give it back, quickly-'

But Knowledge raised Ignorance's phone away and out of his reach. Ignorance went around the table onto Knowledge's side. Knowledge stood up from her seat, Ignorance's phone still in hand, and putting it further away from his reach. Ignorance pleaded in agony. 'Knowledge, please-'

'You have been slain!'

There was a few moments of silence before Ignorance finally snatched his phone back, staring at the screen in sorrow. Knowledge scoffed and crossed her arms. 'That wouldn't have happened if you had focused on your schoolwork.'

Ignorance didn't respond. He stood still for a while before pocketing his phone and walking out of the house. Knowledge watched him walk away, shifting glances between him and the math homework on the table. 'Where do you think you're going?'

'Home,' he replied casually.

Knowledge stared at his back in disbelief. She chased after him in quick, large steps. She firmly grabbed his wrist, but Ignorance managed to pull away. 'I don't see why you even bother. I'm ignorance himself, don't waste your time on lecturing me.'

'It is my job as knowledge herself to make sure everyone is well educated.'

'I don't,' Ignorance paused to take a breath, 'give a fuck. I don't know math, nor do I even want to know. Bye.'

Ignorance turned and walked away again, waving lazily. Fury swelled up inside Knowledge. How can someone be so disobedient? Did he not realize the importance of education, and the crucial use of it in life?

'Oh, come on! You only need more practice,' Knowledge suggested, her chest feeling uneasy, 'practice makes-'

'-perfect?' Ignorance cut her off, leaving her sentence trailing. Knowledge stared at him in confusion. She wanted to tell him to go on, but it felt like something was stuck in her throat. 'Nobody's perfect. Nothing in this world is and will,' Ignorance silently grinned, 'so why bother practicing?'

Knowledge flushed a deep red, flustered and ashamed as Ignorance walked away, really walked away.
