A cover contest is currently being conducted by TEEN_FIX. It is the first contest under the book 'Short Contests'.

Round 1 Entry

The prompt as a summary was to make a cover for their graphics shop 'Meraki'. The cover has to be light and should have pink, yellow and light blue. You can check out the full prompt in their book as I am not sure I can write it as it is here.

This has got to be the best cover I made and the most detailed one too.

And it was really hard searching for images realted to graphics which would suit on a light background. And don't even get me started on the background. I had to basically do all permutations and combinations to end up with the final cover. Sorry, maths student here XD.

The new designing technique I used in addition with ones I already used earlier is image opacity. If you notice closely you would find light blue hexagons around the area of the heading. Even the face and laptop images which are actually two separate images seemed too bright on top of the background and were looking weird. So I reduced their opacity a bit and here we go!

The top right image is actually a landscape and I took the part without the castle and ferris wheel.
