Ashok shukla - Rita Shukla . 56-52 years old , retired couple .

Ashok shukla was Government employee , a Bank Manager .
Rita shukla was a housewife .

They had 3 kids , Neetu Shukla , Sidharth Shukla and Preethi Shukla .

Neetu Shukla Gupta 30 year old , married to Vinay Gupta . Piya and Karan Gupta 5 year old , their twin . Stays in Mumbai .

Sidharth Shukla - 28 years old , smart , witty , handsome and short tempered man . Government employee - Police officer , stays in Hyderabad .

Preethi shukla - 21 year old studying , She take tuitions after coming from college .

Ashok shukla has two sisters Radha who settled in Mumbai with her family have one daughter Maya and son Rohan . Jaya stays with them . She is a vidow have a son Akash , 23 year old who is total brat , avara , nikama totally spoilt with all bad habits . So Ashok shukla had taken the responsibility of his sister as their in-laws didn't wanted them after their son's death .

They stay in Hyderabad , in government quarters building 2BHK . Ashok and Rita stays in master bedroom , Jaya aunty and Preethi stays in another room , Akash sleeps on the couch in the hall or they have a single bed in the store room and Sidharth mostly stayed out and recently he had his posting in Hyderabad . So he took the room which connected to other apartment .

His family wanted to see him settled in his life , Rita wanted to see him getting married . But he didn't want to Marry anyone not because their is any girl in his life or any past . He had girlfriend in college time but was not serious .

" Mujhe nahi karne shadi , please maa aap ise nahi kar sakte mere saat " Sidharth who was 26 year old said to his mother but she ignored him . They are going to see the bride but the groom is not ready , not yet ready for the marriage .

( I don't want to get married please mom don't force me )

" Papa aap tho bolo kuch " he pleaded his father but he said " Sorry I'm out of this , mujhe na gasito bichme " .

( Dad say something )

( Sorry I'm out of this , don't drag me in between your talk )

" Main nahi aaraha sun rahe ho aap " Sidharth said but as usual his family ignored him .

( I'm not coming , are you listening )

" Maa " he winced , they were all set to go he sat with a grumpy face and started to drive . " Bhai itna ganda mu mat banao " his sister said but he glared her . Sidharth acted very arrogantly with the prospective bride making her scare and say No for the alliance .

( Mom )

He didn't want to marry because he saw his friends , cousins who married were getting stuck in between the family drama's and the wife tantrums . He didn't want to get piss between them , he believed the notion that the outsider i.e wife will distance him with his family and he don't want any fights in family .

He was 24 year old when he got job , Since he was 25 his mother was forcing him to accept the proposal , she was looking for him .

" Sidharth man jaa na , kyun isa kar raha hai " Rita said sitting beside him running her hand on his back lovingly . It's been 2 years they were searching for a bride but he kept denying .

" Nahi mom please abhi nahi " he says dismissing the topic . He was in rush , he was called for an emergency urgent meeting .

( No mom not now please )

" Bhai come on , ab mujhe bhabhi chahiye " Preethi said coming out of the kitchen holding glass of milk for him .

( Brother come on , I want my sister-in-law )

" Haa abhi bhabhi chahiye phir do din bad bologi . Bhai bhabhi ne ye kiya , bhabhi ne vo kiya . Ye sab faltu tension nahi chahiye mujhe " he said taking the glass and sipping , she twisted her lips and left to complete her assignment .

( Yeah now you want sister-in-law after two days your rants will start , I don't want unnecessary drama )

" kar le beta shadi kab tak teri maa ko tang karega " Jaya said , his aunt . He looked at her keeping the glass on the table .

( Why don't you marry and stop troubling your mother )

" Kyun aapko bhi meri kushi dekhi nahi jare , meri single life me problems lane pe sab ke sab ready hai " he said , now moving towards his shoe rack .

( Why , you don't want me to be happy . Everyone is after me to bring trouble in my single life )

" Sidharth isa nahi hai , tum pagal ho . It's a pure relationship , everyone needs a companion to share our life and you both have to manage , sacrifice , compramise , adjust and balance . Its very special bond that tied by god " Rita said .

" Mujhe late horaha hai mom , bye " he said as he finished tieing his shoe lace . Taking his bike keys he moved out .

" Sunday bhi holiday nahi milti isko " Jaya said taking out the vegetables from the fridge .

( He doesn't get holiday on Sunday too )

" Aap kuch bolte kyun nahi , vo sunta nahi hai meri " Rita was complaining to her husband about Sidharth continous denying for marriage . She started to worry thinking how to convince him and what if he didn't marry ? These questions were stressing her .

( Why don't you say anything? He doesn't listen to me )

" Arey tum baito ider , BP high mat karo apna . Maine ek ladki dekhi hai aur aj montu se baat karlunga . Tik hai " Ashok said giving her assuring smile that he will take care .

( You sit here , don't think much and raise your BP . I have saw a girl for him and will talk to him today , don't worry )

On the dinning table Sidharth alone was having his dinner , his mother and father were sitting beside him . Everyone had done their dinner at 9 as it's their habit now its 11:30 PM . Ashok and Rita were awake to talk and convince him for the marriage .

" Kya baat hai dad ? " Sidharth asked seeing him awake because it's past 10 , his sleeping time .

( What's the matter dad )

" Tum khalo pehele phir baat karte hai " Ashok said .

( You eat first then we will talk )

" Nahi dad boliye na , is everything fine ? " Sidharth said immediately looking at his father in concern .

( No dad , please tell everything is fine right ? )

" Sab tik hai beta aur lakin mujhe teri ma ki tension hai bas " Ashok said , Sidharth eyes immediately snapped towards his mother who was serving him .

( Everything is fine my son but I'm just tensed for your mother )

" Kyun maa ko kya hua hai ? Mom aap tik ho na ? " He asked .

( Why ? what happened to mom ? Mom are you fine ? )

Rita didn't replied anything nor looked at him . " Maa " he called holding her hand .

" Jab tak shadi ke liye haa nahi bole ga tab tak baat mat kar mujse " Rita snapped angrily at her son .

( Don't talk to me untill you agree with the marriage )

" Not again " he murmured .

" Beta kyun hum bude maa baap ko taklif de raha hai " Ashok said .

( Why are you troubling your old parents son ? )

" Dad aap bhi " Sidharth said looking at him in disbelief .

( Dad you too )

" Apne dekha na Vishal ke shadi ke ek mahine ek ander he they got separated from their family , I don't want to loose my family " Sidharth said giving them a example of his distinct cousin .

( You saw how Vishal separated from family with in a month after his marriage . I don't want to loose my family )

" Dekh beta , tere jo opinion hai na Shadi ke liye it's totally wrong . Everyone face ups and downs in their marriage but your bond should be strong enough to cross all the hurdles in your way " Ashok Said .

" Sab ek jaise nahi hote hai beta " this time his mother said looking at him with lots of hopes .

( Everyone are not same , son )

Their was complete silence on the table , as Sidharth left to his room wishing them good night . His parents words kept ringing , he could not sleep that night thinking about the future .

Next morning his mother kept pestering him and black mailed him after lots of drama's he agreed saying " Phir mujhe badme koi ye nahi bolega ki . Teri biwi ne ye kiya , vo kiya . Saas-Bahu-Nanand mujhe koi bich me leke nahi ayega , samje " .

( Afterwards no one should say that your wife did this and that . You should not drag me in between )

" Yeahhhh " Preethi said as he finally agreed , she was ready to go out but heard him agreeing for the marriage and couldn't hold her excitement .

" Haa haa Mera beta " Rita said clasping his face kissing on his forehead finally her wish to see him settled and having family is going to fulfilled . Ashok who was beside them smiled looking at his family .

( Yes , yes my son )
