The next day.....

Mal was packing in her dorm room. She laid some books in a box, and then looked at a picture of her and Ben. She smiled sadly and laid the picture in tbe box also.

She then closed the box and lifted the suitcases off her bed. Opening her closet door, Mal saw her surfboard. She looked around and smiled.

Be back in time for the flight ~M

She wrote a letter and then got dressed in her surfing out, grabbed the board, and ran down the the ocean.

Down at the beach....

Mal was watched the waves as they rolled in.

Everyone was watching the waves, and talking. Mal smiled and Then Ben came up behind her.

"Sup," he said. She glanced at him.

"How did you know I was be here?" Mal asked and looked back at the ocean.

"I knew you couldn't stay away from a surf like this," Ben said as if it was obvious.

Mal shrugged. "Ben.... I'm glad you came but I told you-"

"I just came to watch you surf, not to propose," Ben said. Mal nodded and smiled.

"Okay," she said and then elbowed him. "Check out what I'm about to do," she said and walked down to the ocean.

Ben just smiled and leaned on the life guard tower.

Mal paddled out into the ocean, and made it though the first wave Before glancing back at Ben. He smiled and kept an eye on her.

She kept going farther out, before she rode a big wave.

Ben was watching intently until his dad came up. "Hey son," he said and looked to find Mal.

"You gotta see this, she's ripping it," Ben said.

"Yup," Adam said and shook his head. "I don't like the looks of this guy Ben."

It suddenly got cloudy and Ben watched as all the surfers were suddenly falling down.

"Yeah, check it out," Ben said as another guy went down. "You're right, that doesn't look good. She's gotta get in. This looks bad."

The lifeguard started using his whistle and waving a red flag.

Mal kept paddling out further.

"What is she doing?" Ben asked. 

"She's not paddling in," Adam said shaking his head. "This isn't good."

Ben looked at his dad and then ran to a jet ski as he slid on a life jacket. The clouds around them got darker and the waves became bigger. He started the boat and sped out there.

"Mal! Come on!" He yelled and Mal turned to him. "Don't do it!"

"No! I have to!" Mal yelled back.

"Don't do it!" Ben said again. Mal just turned around and faced the ocean. "Mal!" He called as a giant wave came.

Mal started surfing on it but then lost her balance and went down. Ben jumped down into the water after her. Adam closed his eyes and looked away.

Suddenly the surf board popped out and then washed crashed on it again, sending it back under water.
