Meant To Be
"I believe we all have a soul mate. The chance for a perfect duet. I believe in hopeless devotion. I just haven't found her yet," Doug sang and Mal tried not to look at him.
"But in my mind, I see. The chick who is meant for me," He sang and then threw his guitar somewhere and grabbed Mal's hand, surprising her. "She'll be someone who is lovely. Someone wonderful and true."
"The kind of boy who makes you smile, even when you're feeling blue," Evie sang to Ben.
"And I know, I know she's/he's out there," They both sang and Doug twirled Mal around. "Most definitely."
"Oh, yeah," Doug sang.
"Not a phony or a fake," Evie sang.
"Sweeter than a chocolate shake, my meant to be," They both sang.
"When it's meant to be, you go kinda crazy," Both Evie and Doug sang and Doug danced with Mal. "Meant to be, you forget your name."
They continued singing, and Mal stopped dancing when he twirled her and then Ben came up with Evie and looked her her. She rolled her eyes and ran to catch up with Doug.
"And nothing ever will be the same," They sang and Ben thought Evie was gonna kiss him when she turned her head. "Oh, yeah."
"You need a girl who's into music," Mal sang. "To ride up high on Cupid's wings."
"Find that boy with perfect hair. Hello, Hollywood ending with strings," Ben sang to Evie.
"Oh, I know, I know she's/he's out there," Mal and Ben sang. "Can't you see."
"Oh, yeah," Ben sang.
"Maybe you've already met the one you'll never forget."
"Your meant to be," Mal sang.
"When it's meant to be...."
"The stars seem to glisten," Ben sang.
"Meant to be..."
"All the clouds depart," Mal sang as Ben danced with Evie and Mal danced with Doug.
"When it's meant to be, that's destiny calling. And if you listen, you'll find your heart."
"Four eyes meet, and the meet is sweet. Could it lead to something more?" The girls sang as Ben and Mal backed Doug and Evie up to some towels hanging on a tree.
"What's the deal when the way you feel. Is something you never felt before?" Doug and Ben sang as Mal and Ben turned Evie and Doug around and pulled down the towels so that they would face each other.
"Oh!" Evie said and ran away not even seeing Doug.
"Gee," Doug did the same.
"Um..." Ben said looking at Mal.
"Plan B?" Mal suggested.
Evie grabbed Ben's hand and Doug grabbed Mal's. All these other surfers started dancing around them, and Mal looked at Ben. Ben looked at her and shrugged as he danced with Evie. The four continued dancing as the other people sang and danced.
"When it's meant to be, you go kind of crazy," They all sang. "Meant to be, you forget your name. When it's meant to be, it's destiny calling, and nothing ever will be the same."
Everyone started dancing again, and Doug spun Mal around as Ben twirled Evie around. Ben and Mal looked at each other and tried to get Evie and Doug close to each other. Everyone ran in two different circles and then came together, running in a straight line.
Doug ran with Evie and Mal ran with Ben, but then Evie and Doug went separate ways as the song ended.
"I'm thinkin' that didn't go as well as we hoped," Ben said.
"Oh no.... It's your favorite movie, what do we do?" Mal asked.
"Uh... In the movie the next thing to happen is.... The biker girls all have a pajama party, and the surfer guys all hang at Tiana's," Ben said. "Maybe we need to get ourselves invited."
Mal nodded. "All right, so I'll go this way, you go that way. Cool?" Ben asked.
"Yeah," She nodded again.
"Let's do it," Ben said and they both took off in the wrong directions. Then, they ran back and smiled at each other.
"My bad," Mal said running the other way.
"It's my favorite movie, I should know," Ben said going the opposite way.
At Tiana's...
Mal was looking around when she saw Ben. "Ben!" She yelled.
"What?" He looked at her.
"Evie!" She said then seeing the purple haired girl and ran over to her. "You know what I have never done?"
"Eaten a rock, kissed a squirrel," Evie guessed.
"All exciting things, but no. I've never had a pajama party," Mal said and Evie gasped.
"We do them all the time. We're having one tonight," Evie said.
"You don't say," Mal said smiling.
"Sure I do! I just did," Evie said slightly confused.
Doug then ran passed Ben. "Doug!" Ben said catching him by his arm. "What are you guys doing later?"
"Hanging at Tiana's, wanna come?" Doug asked.
"Sure," Ben said.
"Cool," Doug said and ran off. Ben smiled and then turned to Evie and Mal.
"Girls tend to over-complicate things," He said with a sigh. "Hey Evie, you should totally invite Mal to your sleepover."
Evie gasped again. "Oh! Great idea! How about it Mal?" she asked the purple haired girl.
"I wouldn't miss it," Mal smiled and Evie squealed and ran off.
As soon as she was gone Mal gave an exasperated sigh and looked at Ben. He just shook his head as Doug ran passed them laughing. Evie then did the same thing and ran to the other side. Mal rolled her eyes and looked at her swimsuit, seeing it disappear.
Her eyes widened and she looked at Ben. "Ben," she said.
"Whoa," he said. "You, you saw that right?"
"If you did," Mal said. They both ran over and looked around where it was. "What's going on?" she asked.
"Well, that swimsuit didn't exist then, right?" Ben asked and Mal nodded. "So it doesn't belong here and it disappeared."
"Wait, wait. We didn't belong here either! So what's gonna happen to us?" Mal asked freaking out. Ben shook his head, meaning he didn't know. Just then music started playing and Mal and Ben looked around.
"No, no music," Mal said and the music stopped. "Ben, we have to get out of here. I have to get on a plane!"
"It's not me," Ben said as the music started.
"No. No, this is not a song!" Mal yelled and once again, the music stopped and then started again. Mal huffed and walked away, Ben following her.
