^^Mitchell Hope is so cute!! AHH!

Ben sighed as he went through the files that were stacked in a never ending pile.

Maybe becoming a king at such a young age was indeed not the best decision he made.

He glanced at the homework that was kept in another never ending pile. Although he could excuse himself for not doing the homework, but Ben always like to keep his work up to date.

Suddenly the door flung open and Mal stormed inside the room, slamming the door behind her.

"BEN!"

"Hello m'lady, how may I help you?" Ben asked in his usual kind tone, hoping to calm down his girlfriend.

"Yes have you seen my boyfriend Ben? He was supposed to come to our date two hours ago. But he hasn't shown up yet. Have you seen him? He's in a lot. Of . Trouble." Mal said in her fake sweet voice, which scared people to death. 

Ben mentally kicked himself. He had completely forgotten about his date!

Mal was really gonna kill him now.

"Not here. I'm sure he went the opposite direction." Ben said, trying to lighten the mood.

But Mal still looked like she was going to turn into a dragon and burn him off.

And she won't even regret it. Probably.

"I'm sorry Mal. I didn't realise where the time flew." Ben apologised.

Mal sat down on the couch with a huff. This king and lady of the court thing was messing up their relationship.

"Ben this is getting out of hand. Every single time, one of us messes it up. Me more than you." Mal sighed.

Ben went rigid as he stared at her. Her words from the Isle rang in his ears.

It's just a matter if time before I do something so messed up that not only the kingdom turns on me but they also turn on you.

"Are you breaking up with me?" Ben asked in a small voice.

"What? No! Never!" Mal shrieked as she sat on Ben's lap. "Why would I ever do that Ben? Okay don't even answer that."

Ben looked relived. They had literally gotten no time for each other. Everytime they were together someone would want them.

"Ben, why don't we go somewhere away for this weekend. You me and maybe our friends. No meetings, or anything. Just us?" Mal asked him. This wasn't her idea, Evie had come up with this.

Ben looked at her in surprise. It wasn't a bad idea. Infact it was a pretty good one.

"But who will fill in for me?" Ben asked. As much as wanted a break, he couldn't just neglect his responsibilities towards Auradon and it's people.

"Your parents." Mal said, smiling.

Ben leaned back and closed his eyes. It was Thursday today. So if he could finish this paperwork by tomorrow, he could take a break for two days and complete the rest of the work on Monday. And he was sure his parents wouldn't object taking his place for two days. They've been doing this for last twenty years.

"I'll talk to them and ask if it's okay with them." Ben said as excitement of going on a vacation settled in stomach.

"No need. I already talked to Belle. She was more than happy to do this favour." Mal informed him. She had come prepared for every question. And Belle was indeed really happy to help them. Both Belle and Adam could see that their son was working very hard, trying to maintain a balance between his school work and royal stuff. They believed he needed a break.

"Oh. That's fantastic then." Ben smiled.

"Now all you have to do is choose the vacation spot." Mal said as she sat on a couch.

"I know a place you'll like. I'll also make sure no media people are there." Ben decided.

Mal felt butterflies in her stomach as she thought about a peaceful weekend. No one at her heels clicking pictures of her or asking the silliest questions. Peace.

And Ben. 

"Oh also can I bring Evie, Jay and Carlos with me. Along with Doug, Lonnie and Jane, if they wanna come. It's been crazy week and month for Evie, Doug, Jay and Lonnie." Mal sighed. It had been crazy.

"Of course. But what's the matter between them. Are they okay?" Ben asked, genuinely concerned.

"It's not my story to tell Ben. But I'm sure they're okay." Mal replied. She couldn't wait to tell Evie and others. A vacation, f ree from everything. Just her and all those she held close to her heart. Peace.

She wished Saturday would come faster.

This is kinda a small chapter, but I'm excited to write the next few chapters (although I have no idea what it will be). Also I realised I hadn't written anything on Ben and Mal.  So here it is. They're so cute together. I love Bal!!
