Chapter 4
This a mevie chapter. I love Mal and Evie so much. Their friendship is everything! Also this song is so amazing. It almost makes me cry!
Evie: Seven weeks pregnant
Lonnie: Three weeks pregnant

"Shouldn't we tell everyone?" Doug asked to Evie as she sketched some new designs for Mal for her trip to Auroria. They still hadn't told anyone. Only Mal and Audrey knew. And surprisingly, Audrey was pretty supportive.
"Hmm... Maybe. But you'll need to protect yourself from Jay" Evie chuckled.
She was sure Jay would loose his mind and threaten Doug. Like every older brother, Jay was overprotective of Mal and her.
"Oh man! Jay's gonna kill me. Or torture me." Doug groaned. He was well aware how much Jay cared for Evie and Mal.
"Slowly." Evie added. But her mind had already started racing somewhere else. With the happiness and excitement of being pregnant and the tension of being a good mother, she had forgotten something really important.
Carlos.
"What's the matter Eve? You look disturbed." Doug asked propping up on the bed.
Evie smiled and shook her head,"Nothing." She had told Doug most of her secrets but some were still wrapped up. And she wasn't ready to tell them yet.
Doug eyed her suspiciously but let it slide. Her hormones were driving both of them crazy. And he did not want to push her button, or there was a good chance she might either have an emotional breakdown or might be raging mad or annoyed.
"Hey Doug, I need to find Mal and make sure she's okay with these designs." Evie said standing up. Mal would love whatever she made, but she had to talk to her about this situation.
"Alright I'll see you later then." Doug said as her stood up and kissed her on her cheek. Evie smiled and walked away.
Very distracted.

Mal was scrawled on her bed. She had manged to get away from the reporters. Ben was at some council meeting and Evie was probably at Evie's 4 Hearts.
But her mind was reeling with one thing.
Her probable wedding.
Lonnie and Jane had told her that the Cotillion was like an engagement. She had talked to Ben who had confirmed it. But he had assured her that they wouldn't be engaged or wedded until she is comfortable. Mal had put if off for nearly two months now, but she knew that their wedding was bound to happen. And with all this pressure, they might be married before they were even twenty.
"Mal!" Evie said as she entered their dorm.
"Oh hi E." Mal said.
"What's wrong?" Evie asked as she sat on Mal's bed.
"Nothing." Mal lied, but she knew it was ineffective to lie to Evie. She could read her like a book.
"Start speaking." Evie said.
"Do I really have to marry Ben?" Mal asked in a small voice. It was weird how she could be this brave bold girl in front of the world. But she could be the emotional crybaby in front of Evie. She was so grateful to have Evie.
"Did he propose to you?" Evie asked wide eyed.
"What? No!" Mal replied.
"Then where is this coming from?" Evie asked.
"Remember when Lonnie and Jane had told us the Cotillion was like an engagement? Ben confirmed it." Mal said trying to keep her voice even.
"Is he forcing you on this subject or anything?" Evie asked, although she was sure Ben would never ever do anything like that. He was the most gentleman like person they had ever met.
"Again no." Mal chuckled slightly ,"It's just that, isn't it obvious that we would have to marry each other? And with the pressure from all the states and media, I have this feeling it would be forced."
Evie looked at her best friend, her sister, trying to read her face. She had thought about this, Mal and Ben's wedding. But she had never thought that it would be forced.
"It would never be forced wedding, Mal. Ben loves to crazily and you're head over heels in love with him. Then why would it ever be forced?"
"What if I'm not ready? Or what if I'm not the Queen Auradon requires. I mean I can't even imagine being anything remotely near to Belle. Or what if I'm a horrible wife? Ben and Auradon deserve the absolute best. And I don't think I'll ever be anything like that." Mal's voice broke in the end.
"M, everything will be fine. Ben would force you to do anything that you don't wanna do. Even if the pressure's too much. And if he does which is like 0.0000000001 percent chance, I'll personally go and kill him in his sleep. And for the record, you'd be a great queen. Fearless, bold, impartial with a little bit of mischief? Thats a perfect queen. And I don't think Ben would ever find a wife better than you. He knows that. Your love for him is enough. You don't even have try to be something else, M. Yes, you're correct. Auradon and Ben deserve the absolute best. And you are the absolute best Mal. Don't doubt yourself. And when time for the wedding and other stuff comes, believe me, you'll be ready." Evie said as he hugged her sister, trying to give comfort. She knew what it was to stand under pressure. They all knew.
Mal lay still, absorbing Evie's words.
"Thanks E. What would I have done without you?" Mal smiled.
"Nothing. Literally." Evie laughed.
"So now your turn E." Mal said sitting up cross-legged on her bed facing Evie.
"What my turn?" Evie asked confused.
"You had something really important to tell me. I could sense that by the way to ran into the room."
Evie looked down at her fingers and said,"Doug wants to tell everyone about this kid."
Mal's face lit up as she clapped excitedly,"Finally!"
"Yeah. But Mal we're forgetting something." Evie said
"What?" Mal asked confused.
Evie looked straight in her eyes and said ,"Carlos."
Mal looked at her as relavation hit her.
"Right. Shit."
