As you started to regain consciousness, you felt like you were on a big fluffy cloud, it's the most softest thing your back had ever laid on. And your head also laid comfortably on the softest thing ever. You felt a soft silk against your skin, you couldn't make out if it was your clothing or the cover, or perhaps it was both.

However, you felt cold and heavy weights around your wrists and ankles, and one big heavy one pushing down on your chest.

Your eyes opened to meet with a white ceiling with elegant patterns carved on it.

With the weight on your chest, you could only move you head.

You looked down to see a strap across your chest holding you down to the bed. On your wrists, chains, and same on your ankles.

You panicked looking around the room that you were being held in.

It was a huge, fancy room. The walls were a royal blue and the lining had accents of yellow. That was actually the theme of the room, there were hints of yellow all over the dark blue room.

On the side table, you saw two gold picture frames. One had Beast, Belle and Ben. The other had Ben and the purple haired girl, Mal.

You looked to the far left corner of the room, where there was a blue and yellow lounging couch along with a sleeping King Ben.

Your chest felt empty as your amulet was missing, you could still use magic however, it was weak, but it was enough to open the chains and release the strap from your chest, allowing you to sit up, rubbing your wrists were the heavy chains once held.

Now being able to fully see around you, you discovered that you were on a huge bed. It was so fluffy you even sunk in a little as you sat up.

The cover was a silky royal blue and you noticed that you were dressed in an, also blue, night gown(as seen above) and your hair was neatly tied back.

The noise of the chains dropping woke up the sleeping King with a start.

He immediately stood up and quickly tried to look as though he wasn't just napping.

"Good to see you awake" he said walking up to the bed, then looked at the chains on the floor, "please, don't get up, guards would just come storming into the room."

"I wasn't planning too" you said seriously, "this bed is way too soft" you ran a hand on the soft surface.

He chuckled, "I insisted for them to bring you here... this is my room. I think we should have a proper introduction, I'm King Ben, son of Beast and Belle.

"Y/n, daughter of the Chernabog" you looked around some more, a small smile to your lips, "and how long have I been unconscious for?"

"2 days" he answered.

You shook your head, "you shouldn't have, your majesty" you said sarcastically bringing another laugh out of him, then changed the subject, "and why did you chain and strap me to the bed? Still think I'll take over Auradon?"

"No, I--" Ben sighed, "the guards wouldn't let me stay in here if you weren't restraint, I wanted you to see me first, not the guards"

You nodded your head, understanding, "and? Does everyone in Auradon hate me? Scared of me, perhaps? Admit it, I'm going back to the isle, aren't I?"

"No actually, the Auradon citizens don't know of your existence" he said, "everyone thinks Audrey did it a-and she accepts taking the blame"

"That's real sick of you to do, prince, king, whatever" you snarled, "I won't let her take the blame"

"Yeah, well attempting to take over Auradon isn't exactly a good first impression" he said.

"Good, bad, evil. What does it matter, you're not any better than the people stuck on the isle, teh," you scoffed, "putting all the blame on an innocent soul" you said, you were talking about Audrey.

"Look, if this is about the people on the Isle, then I'm happy to inform you that it's being reformed," he said, "we broke down the barrier, everyone is free to go between Auradon and the Isle"

"Ok..." Then something came to your attention, "and what were you doing waiting in here like a creep!"

Ben chuckled and his cheeks tinted with pink in embarrassment, "no, it's not what it seems, I came in to check if you were awake every hour or so" he explained, "others came to check on you too, you know"

"Others?" You asked.

"The VKs, Evie and Jay, Carlos... Hades" he listed.

"Where's Jay and Hades?" You immediately asked.

"Hades went back to the isle, he's having his underground tunnels remodeled" Ben answered, "And Jay is still here, in Auradon"

You nodded your head, taking in the information.

"I, uh, have to ask..." He said, "I would like to, um, give you the funds to restore a proper life. A fully furnished house, a job, some money, but I need to know where you'll be staying, in Auradon or the Isle. You don't need to answer now, just give it some thought." He said, "I'll let a guard bring you in some clothes, so you can explore Auradon and the Isle, free of stares, like I said, no one knows of your existence, so no one will be scared, in fact people in Auradon are really nice, Evie and Doug agreed to let you stay in their cabin for as long as you need " then he added, "it's in the woods, I'll have Carlos take you there"

"Wow, I-I can't thank you enough" you said, "really that's the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me, thank you" then you said, "I'll... I'll apologise to your father first thing. You know, for like, kidnapping, torturing and disrespecting him-- gosh I really was awful wasn't I?"

"No need to apologise, if anyone he needs an apology it's you, Y/n... we, were awful to you" he said, "I'm sorry" he started, "I'm sorry for what my father did-- I've always wanted justice for the villian kids, and you're no exception. I wish I would have known about you sooner, so we could have mended sooner" he paused, "so I hope you can, forgive Auradon's  foolish kings, we are truly sorry" he did a little bow.

The corners of your mouth pulled up into the tiniest smile, it's what you've been waiting to hear, a small tear rolled down your cheek "thank you! Thank you so much... thank you for everything your doing. You really have a golden heart, thank you"

Then you genuinely started to cry as the realization of not being locked up anymore hit you, "I'm not going to be locked up! thank you! Thank you so much! I'm not going to be in a cave! Thank you" You were overwhelmed by emotion, being stuck in the cave for your whole life, and now this boy in front of you was telling you that you were free, that your not going back, you pulled him in for a hug  "thank you"

Hey hey everyone!

Finally an update!

Hey you see that part in the title where it says *Slow Updates*?

Yeah... this is what I meant.

But since you guys have been waiting for so long, I've decided to let you in on my plan for the future of this book.

So know worries I don't plan on leaving this book without an ending. It will come to an end soon(you know what else is coming soon? *Wiggles eyebrows and points at you and Hades*)

Anyway after this story ends, I do plan on making a book 2(cause I love you guys so much)

However after this story ends, it will go on, *a short as possible* hiatus, then I will make book 2.

Reason being, I have other projects in mind, and can't update 5 different books at a time.

I hope you understand, but in the meantime, let's enjoy this story!
