(I think i know where to go with this story)

3rd person pov

Blake: Team CJVY isnt back from their mission yet?

Weiss: That appears to be the case. Maybe we should keep that from Ruby and Yang, it'd be best not to worry them... and once again, i'm sorry about what happened

Blake: Yeah, me too...

Nodding slightly Blake glanced to the door, a bit worried. The door opened to reveal the sisters who walked in, the faunas looked away as the older of the sisters sighed softly.

Yang: I don't think it's a good idea to tell him, Ruby

Ruby: But Dad would be happy if he knew where Y/N was

Yang: Maybe... but it's something we should let him decide

Blake: Why would you do that? They're family after all

Yang: Well, Y/N left ages back, and they didn't leave on the best terms

Ruby: I... I don't understand, what happened, and why didn't you tell me about this?

Sighing slightly the blonde sat down and looked to Ruby, gesturing for her to sit down as well she did so while Weiss and Blake listened in curiously, wondering what this was about.

Yang: After Summer passed, Dad became more distant, and easily agitated. He just wanted to mourn, while we... we needed someone to take care of us. Y/N, being the oldest of us, did his best

Ruby: I don't remember anything like this

Weiss: You don't form proper memories until you're five, and even then this must've been a decade back

Yang: It was. Back to the topic, as we couldn't rely on Dad to feed us, Y/N started stealing food from the kitchen. He was caught, and Dad hit him... I know he regrets it to this day though, blames himself for Y/N running off, after Y/N did run this only made him more protective of us. Took a miracle to convince him to let Ruby come here

Blake: I can understand why he would feel guilty, but what was it about Y/Nleaving that made him like that?

Yang: Summer adopted him. To Dad, he was one of only pieces of Summer that he had left, apart from me and Ruby

A cough came from Y/N, waking himself up with it he slowly sat up an looked out the window to see the sun hadn't risen yet. Attempting to go back to sleep he began coughing again, but he covered his mouth with a hand.

The door opened as Yatsuhashi stepped in, hearing Y/N cough he looked over to him and raised an eyebrow. The teen turned his gaze over to him and raised a hand as be finished coughing.

Y/N: So, you finished your shift?

Yatsuhashi: Yeah. Coco has already started hers... are you alright?

Y/N: Hmm? Oh, yeah. It's probably from being down in that mine, but i'll be fine

Nodding slightly Yatsuhashi sat down on his bed as Y/N cleared his throat and patted his chest. He let out a breath, feeling a bit better Y/N sat up and rubbed his head, unable to go back to sleep.

Yatsuhashi: ...Where did you learn about Stands, and how would one get a Stand?

Y/N: It was one the only things my family left me, just some info about them. To get one, you'd need something called a Stand Arrow, or your parents needed one so it'd be passed down like a gene

Yatsuhashi: These "Stand Arrows", i assume they're rare

Y/N: Yeah. Only six ever made, and they're all lost somewhere

Timeskip

Velvet: You alright?

Before Y/N could respond he coughed slightly, raising his hand to cover his mouth he looked away. The Faunas looked worried, but Y/N lowered his hand as he stipped and caught his breath.

Y/N: I'll be okay, it's just a cough

Velvet: When we get back, you should get it checked out

Y/N: You're over reacting, like i said, it's just a cough

Velvet: I'm just being carefully

She sat down beside him, the two watching the cave from a safe distance, seeing if any Grimm would come out. Mumbling something under his breath Y/N's eyes changed colour before his hand unravelled.

The string made it's way towards the cave entrance, feeling around the ground Y/N felt something step on the string so he wrapped it around the leg of whatever it was.

A roar came from inside, Y/N suddenly being dragged which made Velvet's eyes widen. She got up as Y/N recalled Stone Free, an Ursa Major ran out as the Faunas got up.

Reaching behind her a digistruct of Coco's minigun appeared in her hands. Y/N's shield unfolded and he raised it above himself before Velvet opened fire, the Grimm turned it's back, making it so the bullets hit it's mostly armoured back.

Y/N: Johnny, now!

Johnny: Right!

His eyes changed colour again as gold stars appeared on his hands. Looking around Y/N was able to see the Golden rectangule around him on many things. The Ursa turned as Y/N's nail began to spin around.

He fired it, the Nail striking the Grimm's side. As it roared the bullet hole travelled along it's side and to it's head before being killed by the repeated impact, it turning to ash and scattering in the wind.

Slowly getting up he coughed slightly whike his shield unfolded and his eyes went back to normal, Johnny also disappeared. Velvet looked to Y/N as the minigun digistruct disappeared, confused.

Velvet: Who's Johnny...?

Y/N: I- Um... I don't know. Guess it was something i said in the moment

Velvet: Well then, if that's the case then i've been meaning to ask... how can you do all these things, were did you learn of Stands?

Y/N: Tha-That's complicated, and boring too

Velvet: Y/N. Tell me, please
