Don't mind me, missing Taemin hours hitting hard :') ^

You Broke Me First - Tate

"Are you sure this is something you want to do Jimin? I mean, you worked so hard all this time to figure skate."

A sigh tumbles out of Jimin's lips, walking inside the building of the rink to the exit, "Yeah Tae, I'm sure. Just don't tell anyone alright?"

"Have you spoken to Jeongguk?"

The frown deepens, Jimin now awkwardly looking to the ground with the phone still to his ear, "No, but doesn't matter. Hey, I'll talk to you when I get to Korea, my flight leaves in four hours. Have to be there soon."

"Where are you?"

"The rink. Had to turn in a letter to the head of this figure skating event. I was just about to-"

"FUCK!"

Sharply Jimin turns his attention to the rink, not noticing earlier how someone is skating there in the first place. Well, a hockey player to be exact.

Looks like he missed a shot at the net, now removing his helmet to rub his hair with his glove-

Oh.

Shit, he forgot he was a hockey player.

"Jimin-"

"I'll call you back Tae," and Jimin hangs up, continuing on walking but suddenly slowed down as Namjoon skates easily from one side of the rink to the other, getting ready with the puck and stick, eyes focusing to the net.

Jimin froze in his steps, his heart moving lightly as Namjoon suddenly bolted down the ice with easy and swift control of the puck. He makes quick and sharp turns by every side of the dashboard, having so much balance and control over his body that Jimin's jaw even dropped by how taken back he was.

It raised up the anticipation, now leaning towards the dashboard from the outside to get a better look. Namjoon's focus is directly to the net, curving and taking position to finally strike.

Making it in the net.

"Yes!"

That's when Jimin's heart dropped. Especially when Namjoon eyes snapped up, meeting his.

Did he say that out loud?

Ah fuck.

Nervously Jimin drops his head down and was about to walk away while he still had his pride, but Namjoon already made his way towards him in quick speed thanks to his skating and easily stops on the dash board with the transparent plastic between their faces.

It was definitely a mistake to stay and watch because obviously Jimin got caught, but something about seeing Namjoon skate felt like Jimin was seeing him for the first time again. You know, when they met, which was during his game.

Jimin liked to see him skate, since it looked like something he was so passionate in doing before he grew so into Jimin.

Just like how he looked like now.

Yet standing face to face now, something about him is different. Jimin could immediately tell just by how off edge he seems to appear.

If anything, it made him look slightly calmer.

Namjoon smiles at him, waving his hockey stick, "Busy watching me practice?"

"As if," Jimin scoffs back, adjusting the lace of his backpack, "Well, I'll go first."

"Wait," Jimin paused, looking at Namjoon now to see what he wanted. It looks like he wanted to say something more, or blurt something out, but he takes a few deep breathes and a step or two back, straining a smile now, "Nothing. Um, I'll see you around, yeah?"

And just like that, he turns around and skates away.

For once, feeling proud of himself with a soft dimpled smile.

Meanwhile Jimin watches him skating away, a small edge of his lips twitching upward before continuing walking away to the exit.

Guess Namjoon won't be such an issue anymore. He found his own path again.

Good for him.

Arcade - Duncan Laurence

Sooner than expected Jimin ended up arriving to his room, facing the emptiness that it holds since the incident happened.

Well after today definitely it'll be facing that emptiness more lonesome.

Walking through the room, trying to not to glance at Jeongguk's bed as Jimin goes to his side and grabs his duffle bag from the bed, checking to see if he had everything in inside.

Before he went to the rink, he made sure his side of the room was spotless like how he found it; all his stuff packed up for his flight today. Maybe he tried not to feel anything throughout his time being alone here, any guilt or self hatred, drowning it down to only feel cold.

Like how it was before, just perfect for him.

He lost focus, and now he can just put his time to ballet until..... His remaining days.

No one will get hurt, or care.

It's perfect.

Perfect for him.

Since that day Jimin has been taking his medication, just as Yoongi instructed. It sucks really, feeling like the energy is being sucked out of his body like the first few days. Either the meds are too strong or he's just not use to taking them, but since then he's just been like a lost zombie. Nothing storms in his head, he doesn't have his bursts of temper tantrums - or at least not while the medication is still in effect - and he doesn't get the flashbacks as consistent as before in his dreams.

Maybe it is working, doesn't mean he likes it.

But he's not dwelling on it alone, he has Taemin and Jihyo to be like strong pillars by his side and who have been very helpful through the first few days.

They wouldn't let him walk through fire alone.

So that was the motivation for Jimin to take one of the prescribed medications when his phone alarm beeped for the reminder. Despite his detest for it, Jimin still forced himself to grab the bottle of pills from his backpack and made sure to keep his mind blank when he takes it with a drink of his water.

All the way until the pill traveled down his body, giving it time for it the effects to kick in.

Good thing he's taking it now because he can just sleep in the plane for the fatigue that'll hit him, so he won't be having to do things actively.

Checking the time now, Jimin puts on his back pack and grabs his duffle bag. Since the airport isn't exactly so close to this hotel, he has to start leaving soon to be at the airport at least three hours before boarding. Hopefully there won't be so much people for him to shove his way through.

Well not like he'll even be alone either way. Since Jimin quit the skating program, there's no need for Taemin and Jihyo to be here since Jeongguk would only be focused on speed skating from now on. So they're obviously going to go back with him and focus on each other to get better, in all aspects.

Gotta love having a support system.

As if he was summoned, Jimin's phone rings, showing a message from Taemin to say that they're down stairs at the lobby. So Jimin adjusts the duffle bag while texting back that he's on his way as he makes his way to the door.

But he froze in his steps when the door suddenly buzzed, followed by a click and it opening through.

The breath that escaped his lungs when he sees a somewhat stumbling Jeongguk entering the room was anything but eased; looking around before his eyes landed on Jimin just as he closes the door behind him.

They didn't say anything, not instantly at least. Jimin's grip on his duffle bag subconsciously tightens, now avoiding Jeongguk's gaze with a tight grimace by the subtle flashbacks that flew his mind.

Especially if his terrified eyes staring at him.

The tension became so thick in this silence that it became so unbearable to even stand still, so Jimin adjust the lace of his backpack nervously and was just about to walk towards the door silently.

But Jeongguk's voice stops him.

"You're leaving?"

Wait.... Voice.

His voice.

He spoke?

Jimin's eyebrows furrows and he looks up, seeing the troubling gaze in Jeongguk's stare as he looks at the duffle bag before snapping his eyes to Jimin's own conflicted stare.

And Jimin slowly digested what's going on the longer he studied Jeongguk's pink eyes and unstable way he's trying not to sway while he's standing.

Jeongguk is tipsy.

For fuck sakes.

Annoyed, Jimin grunts with an eye roll, "You're drunk aren't you? Jeongguk, did you forget you're heavily practicing right now-"

Jeongguk walks up towards him, a hand finding itself on the straps of Jimin's back pack, "I just drank enough to have me talking. That's not the point. Why are you leaving?"

"Drinking is not the way to force you to talk-"

"ANSWER ME PARK JIMIN!" Jimin's lips sealed, once again avoiding Jeongguk's eyes that are now growing weaker in frustration, "You dropped the program didn't you? Just for a fucking altercation?"

"It's not about that!" Jimin shoves his hand off him, slowly starting to feel the effects of the medication kick in with dizziness and fatigue slowly creeping in, but he shakes his head to keep himself stable while putting the duffle back down, "I.... Shit - Look I'm going to go directly to the point, I can't control my temper, okay? I always lash out on you, trigger you somehow and I can't handle hurting you because of how unstable I am!"

A sarcastic smile forms his lips, "Are you kidding me right now? Since when do you give up on things that you start-"

"Since I started to care about you," Jimin blurts out, trying to desperately keep his concentration settled despite how weak his body is growing, "But I'm not like you. I can't just do something extravagant to make you happy or easily go on and apologize to you when I fuck up! I just.... I can't! This program will only disappoint us, don't you get it? I'm doing us a favor!"

So Jimin once again grabs his duffle bag and goes to move past him, but Jeongguk stands in the way, "What happened to we are a team? Hm? Anything you lack I will guide, remember?"

Jimin doesn't say anything, once again attempting to move past him but Jeongguk's hands are now on his forearms and nudging him back, "Stop trying to leave!"

"Why!" Jimin explodes, feeling like he might just pass out by how lightweight that effort ended up trolling over him, trying to keep his breathing at ease, "Why now? Why do you always keep coming back every times I fuck up! I hurt you! Us doing this program ruins you! From the press, to your team, the audience - I'm looking out for you-"

Jeongguk's hands are on Jimin's face now, holding him still with this clear desperation glowing in his eyes. Jimin closes his own eyes, fighting so hard not to feel weaker than he already is by the sight, but Jeongguk nuzzles his forehead against his with a thumb caressing his cheek.

"You need me," Jeongguk whispers in a broken mumble, "And I need you. I need you Jimin."

Jimin's lips tried not to wobbly, "If this is about the program and you want to stay in it you can just find another partner-"

"This is not about the damn program!" Jeongguk growls, pulling back just as Jimin slowly flutters his eyes open, "I need you Jimin. Yes, you fuck up and so do I. You have problems, I do too. I was pissed at you for throwing food at my face, and you were pissed when I turned my back on you."

"They're not the same thing Jeongguk-"

"My point is," Jeongguk heaves, making Jimin's heart twitch, "We aren't perfect. We're far from that, but when we perform.... W-When we let ourselves feel.... We become perfect. Together."

Jimin has had enough.

He didn't want to believe those were the words that came out of Jeongguk's lips right now.

So pathetic.

And he doesn't know if he's referring that to himself or Jeongguk.

Stubbornly he shakes his head and pushes his hands against Jeongguk's chest, "You're drunk, you don't know what you're saying. I'm doing this for our own good. I.... I have to go, my flight leaves soon."

Jeongguk didn't nudge, refusing, "Yeah, maybe I am a little drunk but the only reason I drank is to be able to tell you this! Say what I need to say without my doubts kicking in because I want to be so fucking mad at you for what you did!"

"Then stay mad at me!" Jimin for the third time already, grabs his damn duffle bag and shoves past him, "I'm not good for you. You're just confusing your feelings and - Shit, just act like you don't even know me- "

"You know damn well I can't do that!" Jeongguk grabs the lace of his duffle bag, making Jimin turn around, "You seriously want to do that? Forget it all?"

"Yes!"

Jeongguk yanks the duffle bag from his hand, dropping it to the ground and standing close to him now - so close that Jimin could see the iris of his eyes so dark and dilated in size.

And intimidating.

He gulps.

"Look at me in the eye and say the words to my face."

Jimin tried to look at him in the eye, he really did but the words were stuck in his throat. He knows if he stays a second longer in this room, he would fear he may risk doing something he's definitely going to regret in the future.

He has to say it, Jeongguk will definitely not leave it be and Jimin does not have the energy to even speak so much unlike other days if he wasn't on anything. Maybe the two would've been fighting horribly by now, but Jimin doesn't want to fight.

So... He was honest.

"I.... I can't," He admits, feeling like fragile glass because of the stupid medication, "But you know it's for the best-"

Jeongguk leans, pecking his lips with his own.

Just a subtle and quick peck, something that still left Jimin breathless.

"Maybe it is for the best," Jeongguk says, hands once again finding Jimin's face, "But I can't forget about you Jimin.... I can't."

And he once again molds their lips together, this time keeping it there, weakening every cell in Jimin's body that even if he wanted to fight and continue to push him away - he couldn't.

He didn't want to.

However this isn't right. Jeongguk is still is acting out of alcohol in his body, he's not thinking properly. Even if he says he wants this, it isn't consent.

And Jimin is not going to take advantage of it.

So he gently pulls away, but Jeongguk holds him still, lips just barely brushing against his.

"I know you're doing this out of respect, but just know if I do this it's because I want to," He mumbles quietly, sending shivers down Jimin's body, "Stay..... Stay and let me prove it to you that this is the right decision."

Jimin wanted to laugh, he really did.

Out of frustration, confusion, just everything in a mixed ball.

He's growing insane.

"I'm the one who's suppose to be begging you to forgive me. To talk to me. To give you an explanation- How can you be like this? I am toxic for you."

"Don't say those things about yourself," Jeongguk whispers, almost comfortingly, "You put yourself down a lot. Do you want to be toxic with me?"

"No."

"Do you want to hurt me?

"Of course not."

"Then prove it to me," Jimin's eyes slowly meets his, seeing the seriousness behind them, "Prove it to me that you don't want to hurt me, to scream at my face when you're mad, or make me upset because of your words."

Jimin grimaces, "That's what I'm doing, that's why I'm leaving."

"You always run away when things get hard, or isolate yourself from the problem and expect it to be resolved when you come back," Jeongguk huffs now, eyebrows not together, "For once just face it..... Face this with me. Whatever you lack, let me guide you. Just as we promised."

Jimin's mind feels like it's processing in slow motion. His breath is definitely uneven now and his vision is growing blurred. By now Jimin knows this is not only from the medication, but something else acting up.

As it always does.

Why now? Shit, why now?

Weakly Jimin rubs his eyes, still seeing that blur that even the lines of the window began to look disoriented and strange.

Shit.

He has to go.

Turning around now, Jimin grips the laces tighter of his bag, "I.... I'm s - ah, Sorry," Was all he managed to blurt out, making his way to the door, "I have to go-"

Suddenly Jimin was grabbed by the backpack, not yanked back but just held still. He's still blinking a little more in panic to his blurred vision that he could go into full panic mode right now if he doesn't leave.

Why isn't it going away?

It usually does after a few seconds!

"Jimin, you were about to walk right in the door," Jeongguk says, making Jimin slowly start to hyperventilate, "Are you okay?"

No he was not okay!

He's still seeing nothing but blurriness and his throat is clogging up. His heart felt like it fucking stopped and he's choking on air, body now cold like he's been stuck in a fridge for years.

Dammit!

"Jeongguk let me go," He forcefully wheezes out, hands shaking on his side, "I.... I can't be here-"

A knock suddenly hits the door, snapping both of their attention to it. Jimin can see the door but it's still hazed.

In desperation for air, Jimin reaches for the handle and opens it.

Who is it?

H-He can't tell.

"Jimin?"

Taemin, it's Taemin.

"We've been waiting for a while for you, everything oka-"

Jimin launches himself to the body and wraps his arms around him, pressing his lips against his shoulder blade to stop himself from letting out noises that would give away his panic.

Yet he couldn't hide the fragile tone in his voice, "Let's go.... Please."

Taemin is the type of person that doesn't need to be told twice when to do something, he does it that second. So best believe when he heard Jimin's quiet plead, he wraps an arm around him and guides him away immediately.

All the while he desperately tries to regain his breath, not mixing it with sobs thats threatening to blurt out his mouth.

Leaving Jeongguk with the reflection of his heart shattering in his eyes.
