I Found - Amber Run

There could be many reasons as to why Jeongguk woke up the following morning -Insanely early- From his deep sleep.

His back aching from sleeping on the floor.

The shouting of his roommates so early for their enthusiasm for Christmas.

Check Jimin's blood pressure as Yoongi instructed and noting down the results - Like how he was doing all night while the other male was passed out asleep.

Maybe even from the nightmares that he usually gets, resulting with his anxiety to spike and whistle breathes to escape his quivering lips.

Despite all those reasons being of some factor, one of them definitely beat all odds to really rattle him properly awake just as he finished checking Jimin's blood pressure with the machine while sitting at the edge of the bed.

It was when the door to his room swings open without a knock.

With his radiating brother entering inside.

Jeongguk really didn't register his presence well, since he was literally with one eye open awake ready to go back to sleep on the floor, but when he recognized those familiar taken off guard eyes with lips ajar it did leave Jeongguk just a tad confused.

Oh right, it's Christmas. Namjoon always comes by in the morning-

Wait.

Jeongguk slowly started realizing that Jimin, Namjoon's ex, is snuggled up on his bed, sleeping quietly while hugging the pillow tightly in his arms.

Oh no.

Shit, this looks so wrong-

Looks like Namjoon really did get this the wrong way since he wasted no time striding into the room, grabbing Jimin by the arm and yanks him up.

Jeongguk shoots to his feet in panic, just as Jimin also snaps awake from the aggressive hostility. It didn't register either what was going on at first, but after Namjoon once again tugs him completely off the bed, he realized exactly what was going on.

And Namjoon was definitely not going silent to what he was thinking, "Are you fucking kidding me right now? Getting at my damn brother? Are you fucking serious!"

This is so wrong.

So wrong on so many levels.

Jeongguk desperately tried to sign to him to calm down, but obviously Namjoon's focus wasn't on him. This is the first time Jeongguk has seen Namjoon completely and utterly in rage. His brother is usually really composed, or prefers demonstrating that just for the sake of his reputation with others and the press.

Clearly that did not matter when it involves his frail little brother.

Jimin looked like he was just about to drop unconsciousness from the possible headache and dizziness he got from standing up so abruptly, but once it processed what Namjoon said he disgustingly furrows his eyebrows horrendously.

"What? No- Calm your ass down! It's too early for this shit damn."

"You are the one in his dorm! In his room! ON HIS BED!" Namjoon roars more angrily, jolting Jeongguk on the spot from the tone, "I swear if this is some sick way for getting back at me after our break up-"

Jimin scoffs, shoving Namjoon's hand off his body, "Don't think you're that special, I was the one who broke up with you remember?" And he glances at Jeongguk before looking back to Namjoon, "Besides, this is none of your fucking business-"

"MY BROTHER!"

"And we didn't do shit so mind your damn business and stop trying to make yourself relevant to my life!"

Jeongguk immediately brought himself between the two the second Namjoon's hands snatches onto Jimin collar of his hoodie, sneering into his own eyes.

"Don't try to make yourself so important. I only care about Jeongguk-"

"Than go marry each other off into the sunset for all I fucking care! Just let me sleep!"

"THAT'S INCEST YOU ASSHOLE!"

"STOP!"

And the shouting stopped, just quick and simple like that. It was the second Jeongguk's loud and rough voice echoed the walls, like a brutal and demanding plead, snapping both men to fall silent and slowly turn their attention to him.

He can speak that loud?

Jimin remains in a daze of shock as Jeongguk rubs his ears, looking close to exploding as it is from either from frustration or his bubbling anxiety, but he still used his strength to separate the two more from each other.

"Nothing is happening between me and Jimin," Jeongguk signs when he turns to his brother, "It's a long story but he was injured so I brought him here."

Namjoon remains with a hard stare, lips pursed as he glances to an annoyed Jimin and his pleading brother, "Well excuse me for being being shocked seeing you two here! I didn't know you guys even know each other like that-"

"We don't! We are in this skating program together and it's only just that," Jeongguk tries to explain, frowning deeply to the way his hands are shaking, "You know I wouldn't try to get with him after what he did to you. This program is the only reason why we're even associating with each other now."

That still wasn't a lie. Even if they are together for this program, Jeongguk still hasn't forgotten the past that ties the two together somehow.

He will never forget Namjoon's depressing nights and days, trying to understand what he did wrong that made Jimin leave him. It was a hard time for him, and Jeongguk wouldn't want his brother to think he's not being considerate of his feelings, even if it's something Namjoon doesn't ask of him to do.

The worried creases on Namjoon's face softens, just a bit, now focused on his brother's shakily hands. It's clear that he worries for him, especially since he can't express himself properly which makes it easier for people to not understand him.

That's what scares him, and he knows Jimin is someone of a strong personality that would make Jeongguk feel intense emotions for him to handle. One of them being disappointment. Even if they are just partners for some ice skating thing, if Jimin has a strong opinion about something he will voice it out without caring.

So Namjoon heavily sighs, "I just don't want him to hurt you..... You don't know him-"

"I'm still fucking here for your information-"

"And as your brother, coming in here to find my ex and my brother on the same bed made me obviously think things," Namjoon ignores Jimin, still focused on Jeongguk, "I don't want you to go through what I did. Especially you since you tend to have a sensitive heart for people."

That's not a lie.

Jeongguk is sensitive, and that is sometimes blinding. Not once has he second guessed his pitiful dislike for Jimin for hurting his brother while they've been together, it's still there obviously but Jeongguk is a professional.

He knows how to divide from personal and work related emotions.

Even if he is someone who does have a vulnerable heart for others.

Yet before he could answer, Jimin only groans heavily and walks towards the door, "I'm not dealing with this family reunion. You guys solve your issues, I'm heading out."

Jeongguk panicked a little, not thinking quick enough when reaching forward to grab Jimin's arm.

"Home?"

Jimin froze for a good second but then turns his head, meeting Jeongguk's gaze with a monotone stare, "Obviously, where else?"

Jeongguk wanted to remind him about seeing Yoongi, but Jimin was already out the door with a slam shut behind him. There's a thick silence now that hangs in the room, Jeongguk just left staring at the door with shoulders slump, hoping Jimin doesn't try to be stubborn and possibly hurt himself even more that'll affect them for practice tomorrow.

Right now Jeongguk is just going to have to trust Jimin knows what he's doing.

So with a nod to himself, he turns back to his brother- Who is already staring at him with this scanning type of look; Trying to drill into Jeongguk's head to figure out exactly what is going on between the two, or if he's missing something more from here.

So, Jeongguk pulls him to the bed and sits him down, starting to explain the situation better to him. They haven't spoken in a while, since the figure skating event, so Namjoon didn't know anything about what was going on. Sure, even if him and Jimin aren't together anymore, Jeongguk feels like he still has to explain it to him what's going on. Just so he won't feel hurt or upset because clearly he's still tender hearted about Jimin crushing his heart.

Not like he wants to still have lingering feelings for Jimin, it's just something he can't wipe away so easily. He was deeply in love with Jimin, and trying to move on has been hard enough.

So Jeongguk doesn't blame him if he got a little scared when he saw him and Jimin together, probably sub consciously thinking that the two may have been secretly seeing together or in fear his brother would face the same fate that Namjoon did by associating himself with Jimin.

It was hard to tell as Jeongguk heard Namjoon speak once he was done, but the topic wasn't lingered on for too long before the two decided to just spend the day well together and catch up to what's been doing on.

After all, it is Christmas day.

Talking to Namjoon actually felt like a wake up call to Jeongguk. He has been spending way too much time around Jimin, getting use to his habits and attitude, that he was not realizing how much of a boundary he was not putting firmly between them. That's surely about to change, since Jeongguk won't tolerate letting Jimin think just because they're partners, Jeongguk will magically forget how much his brother suffered.

This is professional, and he's been getting way too personal with him.

It definitely has to stop.

Yet something felt like it was chipped off Jeongguk's shoulders after he finished showering, seeing a text message from Felix on his phone that was laying by the sink.

Something that was like a subtle breath of relief.

Felix:

I brought Jimin to the ice rink to see Yoongi, he's getting checked out right now.

Felix:

He put up a good fight, but no worries! I dragged him out the dorm in my company with ease.

Jeongguk subconsciously twitches a smile, now feeling like he's about to face his day much more calmer than before.
