Monster
"Who are you?" I whispered to the new person beating Minjun.
He somehow heard me, "My name is Park Jimin. And I know you are Song Yerin."
How did he know my name? I was snapped out of my thought by Jimin's continuous kicks to the half-dead Minjun.
"N-no, you are gonna kill him!" I whisper-shouted at Jimin. He paused and looked at me.
"Don't you want him dead?" He spoke, his voice cold and emotionless.
"I-" I realized I couldn't say anything. My moral was screaming at me to say no... but my instinct said yes. I did indeed want my abusive boyfriend dead, for making my life hell.
Jimin gave a malicious laughter as he took in my silence, "You do, I know you do."
"B-But you can't just kill a person! You'll be arrested!" I said, the logical part of me surfacing.
"People can't. But I can." Jimin replied, and continued kicking the unconscious Minjun.
"No!" I crawled to grab his leg, "I do want him dead but killing is not right!"
He once again paused, and even in the dark I could feel his gaze burning onto me. The cloud above our head dispersed, finally allowing a ray of moonlight shine onto his face.
Beautiful was not enough to describe him. He was something more. At that moment I thought I had seen an angel, no, more like a fallen angel. His messy black hair contrasted his pale skin, illuminated silver by the moonlight. I forgot how to breathe.
He sighed, "Don't take offense to this, but you're in the way so I have to do it." He took out something from the pocket of his leather jacket.
Suddenly Jimin pushed me against the wall and covered both my nose and mouth with what I realized was a piece of cloth. A sweet smell went into my lungs, and I could feel it having effects on me. My vision began to blur, and I began to loose track of reality.
The last thing I remember before everything went black was Jimin's smooth voice saying to me, "Sleep, my dear Yerin."
-
With a jolt, I sat up from where I was sleeping. I blinked a few times until my vision became clear, and looked around me. I was in a bed, which was in a clean and tidy room. The decoration, or rather a lack thereof, and coloring of the room gave off a minimalistic feeling. How did I get here? My head started hurting when the events before I blacked out all came back into my head.
"Are you finally awake?" The man, Jimin, said as he entered the room. He sat on the corner of the bed, and handed me a glass of water and a pill. I hesitantly took it.
"Swallow the pill." He said, more like ordered.
I just stared at the pill fearing about what it was.
"Don't worry it's not poison. It's just painkiller for your headache from the chloroform."
For some reason, I decided to trust the stranger in front of me, and swallowed the pill with the water.
"Good girl." Jimin said.
He was about to leave when I grabbed his elbow and stopped him, "Where am I and why am I here?"
"Because you are safe here in my apartment, with me." He answered, and went out of the room.
A few minutes later, when I felt the headache subsiding, I decided to get out of bed. I slowly opened the door of this room and saw that I was in a normal looking apartment. I thought it was pretty well decorated, and it had a modern feeling to it.
I walked out of the room and it was only with the wind blowing onto my exposed arms that I realized I was in a thin nightgown. Did he change me when I was asleep? Did he... do more?
I looked around and saw the door to the apartment and hurried over there. I turned the door knob, and of course, it was locked.
"It's locked." Jimin appeared behind me.
"Yea, I realised," I answered back. I turned around and there he was, standing in front of me in some casual clothes. But even in casual clothes he looked like a god that came straight out of a painting.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I've already told you, Yerin, I'm Jimin."
"How do you know my name?"
"Oh, I know much more about you than just your name. I know your parents are divorced, and you live by yourself. Your father is a good-for-nothing drunk. You have a brother, who lives with your mother. You met Minjun at a party held by one of your old university mates, and started going out three months after, and-"
I interrupted him, "How do you know all these?"
He simply ignored my question, and started approaching me, "I know you hated your life. But don't worry, you are completely safe here, with me."
I backed into the wall, alarmed by the deranged smile on his face.
"W-What do you want?" I asked breathily as he got closer.
Trapping me between the wall and his body, he whispered into my ear, "You."
