Decision
"Fuck..." Jimin fell onto the bed beside me after he climaxed. We both laid there with heavy breathing for a while. He stood up from the bed and went into the bathroom. He came back with a towel and gave it to me. I threw the towel onto the floor after having wiped myself clean with it. We positioned ourselves and cuddled in bed.
"Jungkook told me about how you were a member of FIRE..." I began.
"Yes, I was." He said, "Remember I told you how I did my first kill by accident?"
I nodded.
"I didn't know what to do so I went to Yoongi-hyung. He wasn't the boss of FIRE back then, just the son of one of the top dogs of the organization. He was the one that told and helped me to throw the body into the river."
"But how did you join FIRE?"
"There was then some sort of internal conflict in the organization, which led to the boss and the top dogs back then being killed. Yoongi hyung was the one that managed to take control of the organization despise of his young age, and got rid of his opponents. He then came to me and Jungkook, and asked us to become his left and right hand men."
"Why did you quit?"
There was a pause before Jimin spoke, "I betrayed him."
That piqued my interest. "What did you do?"
"I accepted money from a rivaling gang back then to sabotage an important mission."
"And Yoongi kicked you out."
"Yes. Jungkook tried to plea for me but Yoongi-hyung was too angry to listen."
"Do you think he's still angry at you?" I asked.
"I don't know, which is why I'm worried. I don't want him dragging you into our fight."
At that moment, I thought of telling Jimin what Jungkook told me, about how he thinks Yoongi wanted to use me to gain influence over Jimin. However, I decided against that for some reason.
"Are you going to train with the initiatives of FIRE like Jungkook said?" Jimin changed the topic.
"What do you think? Should I?"
"No, if I'm honest. It's too dangerous. But if I'm being pragmatic, then yes. You'll gain from it."
"Then I guess I'll do it," I said. "If that's what you want me to do."
He nodded and closed his eyes, "Let's sleep. Goodnight baby."
"Night Jimin."
-
"I'm glad you accepted it, Yoongi hyung will be thrilled to hear!" Jungkook smiled. We sat in the backseats of a car similar to the one I was on the last time I visited Yoongi.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"A warehouse that belongs to FIRE." He answered, "We use that as the training ground."
We entered the more rural area of Busan where I haven't been often. After a while, a massive storage-like metal house came into view, and that was where we stopped.
We got out of the car and Jungkook led me to the front of a pair of double-doors that were at least 4 meters high. He found a button on the exterior of the house, pressed it, and the doors slowly started to open automatically.
Inside, it was quite empty saved for the few people already gathered there and some sort of equipments. The door closed behind us and the warehouse was lighted up by sunlight shining through some windows at the top of the walls, and a few dangling lights.
"Everyone gather around." Jungkook announced as we approached the small crowd of people.
The all stopped chatting, and turned their heads at us.
"Who are you?" An incredibly buff guy said, in a rather disrespectful tone.
"Why don't you tell me?" Jungkook held the taller man's gaze.
"The person Boss sent to train us?" Another guy who looked to be in his twenties, said. I mentally noted that he was rather handsome.
"Yes, now do as I said and gather around." Jungkook ordered.
The buff guy looked Jungkook from head to toe. "You? Our trainer? It looks like I can break your thin arm with my fingers!" He said in a mocking tone.
I saw Jungkook's eyes narrow. I was slightly startled because he wore this same expression during the assassination.
He stepped right up to the buff guy, obviously invading his personal space. "What is your name?" Jungkook said.
"Nam Shiwoo". The buff guy answered him.
"Well, Shiwoo," In a flash, Jungkook managed to somehow get the buff guy face down on the floor and had his hands locked behind his back, "My name is Jeon Jungkook and you'd do well to remember that."
Jungkook let him go, but it seemed like Shiwoo wasn't settled yet. He pushed himself up with a grunt and started throwing a punch at Jungkook. Jungkook dodged with ease and in another instant, he managed to knock the wind out of Shiwoo. He fell into the floor again in pain.
Jungkook stepped his dirty shoe onto Shiwoo's face, "You may have been considered a good fighter in you neighborhood, or wherever you came from. But in FIRE, in the underworld, you are less than an ant." He looked up and around at everyone else that was watching the scene unfold, "That goes for all of you. Forget how good you think you are, if you don't learn from me, you will die in this world in no time." Jungkook rubbed his shoe into Shiwoo's face for a final time before getting off him.
"Back to what I was about to say," Jungkook walked back to the center, "She will be joining you. Her name is Song Yerin."
I smiled and bowed slightly when my name was said. My heart was beating so fast, they all looked so scary.
"Do any of you know how to handle guns?" Jungkook asked. No one spoke. "Well, I got a bad bunch." He sighed. Jungkook went on to demonstrate the basics and the told us to practice on targets.
When I was just loading my gun the cute guy came up to me, "Hello. Song Yura, right?"
"It's Song Yerin," I corrected him, "And you are?"
"I'm Kim Taehyung," He laughed goofily, "Sorry about that, Yerin."
"It's alright," I shook my head.
"So... Why did you join FIRE?" Taehyung asked,
"Ah..." I awkwardly laughed, "I can't say."
"Oh... Um well, I joined because I think it's cool to be an assassin." His eyes shined, "All those assassins in the movies and on tv... They are so cool! I want to be just like them!"
I furrowed my eyebrows questioningly, "Is that really a good enough reason to be throwing your life away to become one?"
He shrugged, "Meh, I'm not throwing my life away, I'm pursuing my dream!"
This guy had a screw loose in his head didn't he? "Alright. I should be practicing now..."
He looked at the targets, "Oh yea, me too!" He then ran forward, almost tripping on nothing onthe way. I doubtfully watched this Taehyung guy, was he really an assassin material?
For the rest of the day, we practice our shooting skills.
