Apartment

"Thank you so much, Uncle Seongho." I said to the middle aged man who just changed the lock to my apartment.

"No problem, Yerin. With this 'Uncle-Seongho-ultra-strong-lock' the thieves don't have a chance of getting in this way!" He joked. I had lied to him that I wanted a change of my lock because a thief broke into my apartment. Well, a part of that was true.

Uncle Seongho was a family friend that had an odd little store that sold everything near my apartment, and it even provided lock service. Only I remain friends with him after my family fell apart.

"Here," I fumbled around to find money in my purse, but he stopped me.

"Don't worry about it. You can have it free this time."

"Oh no I can't-"

"I know you are not in a good place right now, Yerin. I had a spare lock lying around anyway!"

I sighed, "Thank you so much, Uncle Seongho." I smiled at this kind man who I've known my whole life.

He soon left with his tools. I inspected the new lock to my door. It looked secure enough. Jimin can't get in anymore right? With that in mind, I got into the apartment with my new key, and threw away the old one. It was time for me to go work in a 7-11 now. It was about a 20 minutes walk from my apartment to the convenience store. I changed into the uniform, and began another boring shift.

After finally finishing my shift and dealing with countless rude customers, I was so tired I just wanted to hurry home and sleep. Again taking the half broken lift, I arrived at the front of my apartment.

I had a bad feeling. The door... couldn't possibly be opened...right? I cautiously inserted the only copy of the key to this door into the lock, and turned it. To my relief, it clicked, which meant it was still locked. Haha, I was getting too paranoid wasn't I?

I got into my dark apartment and clicked the light switch, but nothing happened. I groaned as I remembered that I forgot to pay the electricity bill for this month so I'll be living in the darkness until I get enough money to pay it. I treaded my way to my bedroom in the dark, and threw my bag onto where I assumed was the bed. But instead of a soft landing, it made an unusual 'thud' noise.

Did I leave something on my bed? I took out my phone, and shined the torch onto my bed.

A scream threatened to leave my throat but before it could, Jimin pulled me onto the bed, flipped us over so that now he was on top, and clasped a hand over my mouth. My bag fell onto the floor, spilling all its content.

"Shh," He said, "Don't want to be alarming the neighbors do we?"

I stopped struggling to show that I wasn't about to scream anymore, and he removed his hand from my mouth.

"How did you get in?" I hissed.

"That cheap lock was pretty easy to pick." He said apathetically.

Dammit, "Why are you here again?"

"To see my Yerin."

"Your Yerin? I don't belong to anyone."

"You will change your mind soon." He said, with a hint of some dark humour that I did't seem to grasp.

"Are you... mentally okay?" I asked, returning fire with the same 'humour'.

"What do you think?"

"Ha, no. Why else would you be on top of a girl you only just met yesterday?"

"Technically, I have know you since last September." He said.

"Is that when you decided to start stalking me?"

"Don't put it like that." He had a mysterious smile on his face, "I was... observing you."

"Of course, of course." I mentally rolled my eyes.

There was a moment of silence where we just stared at each other, which I found incredibly awkward. But it didn't seem to concern him as he did not seem to know the word 'shame'. He suddenly started leaning closer in as if about to kiss my lips.

"Get off me you perv!" I yelled as threateningly as possible and tried to push him away.

Jimin paused, laughed, and to my surprise actually got off me.

"Oh, you actually listened?" I commented as I sat up on the bed.

"I got bored." He said and stood up from the bed. But then he went to fumble around the stuff that was spilled onto the floor.

"What are you doing?" I asked. He didn't answer but instead continue searching.

"Found it." He picked a thing which I couldn't see really well in the dark until he held it up.

"My key?" I laughed, "What do you even need them for? You seem to be able to get in just fine without it."

"It's easier. Picking the lock takes ages." He got out some sort of bluetag-like thing in a box, and pressed the key into it until there was a clear dent in the shape of my apartment key. He threw the key back to me, which I just manage to catch at the last second.

"See ya." Jimin started to leave, but then he stopped in his track. He abruptly turned, and place a peck on my lips. My eyes widened and I instinctively raised my hand, and was about to bring to down to slap him when he grabbed it in an instant.

"You don't want to do that." He warned with a dangerous gleam in his eyes, which I recognize to be the same look when he was beating Minjun up. I was fuming at that moment and wanted very badly to slap him for kissing me without my permission, but I controlled my anger and relax my hand. I wouldn't want him to stab me or something if he was really the notorious Busan killer he claimed he was.

"Good girl." His smirked returned and he decided to actually leave this time. I glared at him until he was out my apartment.
