Day 1: Shoe was finally taken home after many many times of different people trying him on. Finally. He had a home at last. 

  Day 20: It was raining outside, this was the first time shoe had been in the rain. There was a first to everything. At the bus stop, Shoe saw a puddle. What a handsome puddle he was. What was this emotion he was feeling? Shoe had no idea. 

  Day 25: It was Friday. The 5th day of the rain. Puddle kept getting bigger, more handsome every day. Shoe wanted so badly for his human to move, to get closer to puddle, but as he was still new, his human didn't want him to get dirty. Dirty was bad.

   Day 28: Two days since shoe saw puddle, and when he did see him, puddle was smaller. He looked almost... frail. Sad. She wanted to do something to help, but his human was so neat and tidy. Dirty is bad, shoe reminded himself. You don't want to get dirty.

  Day 30: Someone shoved shoes human, and finally, finally he was close to puddle. Puddle was smaller than before, almost gone now. If it didn't rain again soon....

  Day 32: Puddle was.. was he even a puddle any more?

  Day 33: Puddle was gone. no use in-
