"You know, this is the first time I have been away from my home for this long. Maybe because I'm too coward but don't you think that I'm old enough to get the freedom I deserve? But my parents think I'm so stupid that someone would offer me a candy and I'll follow them around. I know that I am a little dumb but if they don't give me a chance to look at the world the way I want to, then how can they expect me to match their perspective?"

I kept on blabbering, letting all of my frustrations out through my big mouth as I pulled my legs to my chest and propped my chin on my knees, staring at nothing.

I then sighed, turning my head to look at Jungkook, who kept a keen ear towards all my talks and seemed very attentive the whole time. A wave of goosebumps crawled over me when my eyes met his twinkling ones, a curious expression grazing his features.

"O-Oh, did I go too far?"

"No, keep talking." He smiled, his eyes not moving from my figure as I looked away, feeling embarrassed.

"I think I'm done..." I whispered, burying my face into my hands as I felt my eyes burning.

"I loved listening to it all, really."

"Huh?" I was dumbfounded as I didn't look at him but at my feet as we both sat on the soft velvet couch.

"Your t-talks... they're interesting." He whispered, his voice as light as a bird's feather.

"You find them interesting?" I nervously glanced at him from the corner of my eye, "I think I sounded pretty stupid."

"Trust me, letting out your feelings through words is nice, especially when you have a listener around. Not in any way stupid to me."

It was true. I felt light-headed after sharing all the things I wanted to say. The weight seemed to shift from my chest which made me visibly relaxed.

"Do you...also need a listener? Because if you do then I'm here, too." I said, rubbing my fingers together.

"I don't, I share most of my things with Taehyung. He's nice, he listens to me and gives me good advices. But there is just something with you... something strangely common that I find which makes me feel a little comfortable around you."

"What do you mean?" I asked, straightening my back to appear more attentive.

"I don't know. There is a- something like a weird bond? When you told me about yourself and what you did a few months ago, it gave me a sense of nostalgia... something that I found pretty common between us."

I think I know what that might be...

"Sadness?"

"Sadness."

The word left both of our mouths at the same time. Mine was questionable, his was a statement.

A spark that suddenly emerged in my spine made me jerk my head to look at Jungkook, who did the exact with the same amount of shock and amusement plastered on his face.

"Woah, th-that was...cool." he let out an awkward chuckle as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Very." I blinked, contemplating how similar our thoughts were at this point.

After a brief pause, I puffed out a shaky breath. "So, you are sad after all."

"Do I not look sad?" He laughed.

"Not really, when you have actually masked your feelings. I'm amazed that you finally admitted that you're sad."

When I guessed that quite a bit ago...

"Yeah, it's perhaps sadness conquering over me. You know, I haven't even confessed this to Tae, but I suddenly had the courage to say it to you..."

"So that makes me special." I murmured under my breath which Jungkook was not able to hear.

"Did you say something?"

"Ah, no...but why did you suddenly decide to confess this to me?" I asked, feeling too dumb to even put up this question.

"Because I wanted to. It's just that. This is the thing that I find quite fascinating that I feel so confident about my inner thoughts, and that I tell them to you without a single worry."

Now this makes me more... hopeful?

"Oh, if that is so, then I'm quite happy. Never in my life has anyone felt reliable around me... so I-I feel really special."

"There are more than one ways I want to convey my feels..." He suddenly whispered with hooded eyes, his tone making my back shiver and I felt my cheeks burning.

The frail wall of awkwardness between us was broken when we heard a sudden knock at the door, signalling that his friend was back. Jungkook quickly hopped over to the door as I paid attention to my unsteady heartbeat.

What did he mean by that!?

"Yah, I left for ten minutes and you already locked the door- ouch!"

My mind was distracted from the previous activities and I felt a laugh bubble up my throat when Jungkook smacked a hard hand on his friend's back and he started whining.

"That was an accident, hyung." Jungkook simply stated and I rapidly got up from the couch, slipping in my shoes and walking upto Taehyung.

"Are you okay?" I asked him who was busy rubbing his butt. He looked at me with a frown and shook his head to the side.

"We do this often, no need to worry." Jungkook said, picking up the plastic bags that his friend brought. I worriedly glanced at his friend, wanting to check if he was alright but the spot where Jungkook smacked him made me a little uncomfortable to look at.

"This time it was too hard, were you mad?" Taehyung looked at Jungkook, pain clearly reflecting in his eyes, "you're getting too muscular Jungkook, this scares me."

"Wait, are you really hurt?" Jungkook flashed a distressed look at his friend as he was struggling to open the lids of the plastic containers.

"Nah, I'm fine now." Taehyung stated and I looked at his butt for a second and quickly looked away, tightly shutting my eyes.

Then I walked upto the kitchen counter, helping Jungkook in peeling off the lids of the containers which were hot to touch. I felt a little ashamed when I saw the amount of food.

"You didn't have to do all this," I said as I took off one lid of the box in my hand, and the smell of hot noodles invaded my senses. I silently gulped, admitting to myself that I was hungry, after all.

"This is for all of us," Jungkook said as he peeled off the packets and took out the chopsticks, placing them in a tray. "And you've visited my house for the first time, we had to do something special."

I didn't match his gaze as I nodded, following him out of the kitchen with the food items placed in a large tray. Taehyung was already seated on the ground with his legs folded, his whole attention on the large television where a drama was playing.

"You got soju?" He asked, his eyes not leaving the bright screen as he waved his arm at Jungkook. I placed the tray on the table, taking a seat beside Taehyung on the floor because I found the carpet more comfortable to sit on.

"We have soju, but am I allowed to drink?" Jungkook nervously asked from the corner. Taehyung turned around and pouted for a second, lost in some deep thought.

"I don't think so, you were sick awhile ago." He said, waving it off. "We will drink some other day when you feel completely well."

They are so caring about each other.

Jungkook nodded as he went around the table to sit beside me and I recoiled my legs, feeling a little confused to be sitting between two boys.

He looked at me as if he read my expression and stood up, jogging the other way round to sit on the other side of Taehyung so Taehyung was the one to be in between. I mentally relaxed as I slid a little away to maintain a distance, picking up a bowl of noodles from the tray.

Taehyung was the one who was completely lost in the drama as I watched along too, trying to understand the storyline. Jungkook too, was deeply engrossed in it that I caught him trying to pick up the wrapper on the table with his chopsticks, which made me giggle.

"Yah, this man is a complete shithead!" Taehyung suddenly grunted as he patted my thigh to grab my attention. I flinched at his touch but tried to play it cool, not really minding him.

For a second, I caught Jungkook staring at me as his gaze shifted to Taehyung's hand resting on my thigh, who was too busy watching the climax of the drama.

His jaw tightened as he placed his empty bowl back on the table, his eyes still fixed on Taehyung's hand. I just wanted to let Taehyung know that I was a little shy at this gesture but before I could do, he himself removed his hand as he clapped them together when the roll credits started to cue.

"Jungkookie, did you see what the villain did?" He asked Jungkook who went back to his normal self and nodded, a smile making it's way to his lips at his friend's excitement.

"Hana, you should watch this drama too, did you like it?" He turned to me and I smiled at him.

"Yeah, I'm not really a fan but the plot seems really cool. I might start watching this from now."

"I will give you a list of the best dramas I've watched. Me and Jungkookie both love this drama and watch it together on every Monday." Taehyung stated, his eyes glimmering like a child.

"Sure! I would love it."

Taehyung and Jungkook both started to tell me the tales of their friendship after that. How they met, how shy they were at first but now they could read each other's souls.

"You know, you're so lucky you got a glimpse of Jungkook's holy eight-packs." Taehyung suddenly said, a mischievous smile adorning his lips which turned pink after he ate all the spicy food.

I reminded myself that my eyes really fell on his abdomen after his face. The thought made me internally groan as I met Jungkook's eyes, who was poking his inner cheek with his tongue, looking at Taehyung.

"I took a hot shower at that time to feel better! Only if you had informed me that you were bringing her over I would've been more presentable!" He protested and I couldn't help but smile at his behaviour.

"Yah, I told you not to roam around naked in the house! Just admit that you like showing off your body!"

Taehyung shouted with a serious expression and turned to me, "you know Hana, Jungkook sleeps without a shirt on."

"Why are you telling this to her?" Jungkook pinched Taehyung on the arm, making him hiss. "And I sleep like that because I feel hot!"

"So you're indirectly saying that you're hot, huh?" Taehyung's smug face made me let out a loud laughter as I covered my mouth, feeling too delighted to look at them bickering together.

"I'm not!"

"Yah, do you want me to tell your legendary tale to her?" Taehyung wiggled his brows, making me curious. Jungkook stared at him with his eyebrows knitted together.

"What?"

"That you once fell asleep naked and your pet hamster bit you on your nipple."

The visual representation of his words made me laugh till my vision got blocked with tears and I wiped them off, looking at Jungkook who looked shook himself.

"And for your information, he gave that hamster away the very next day." Taehyung told me and Jungkook too, started to laugh under his breath at the flashback of said memories.

"Aish, you remember." He patted Taehyung's shoulder as he covered his face with the other hand, completely humiliated but dazed at the same time.

And we kept laughing for a long time, especially me, listening to the never ending tales of Taehyung and Jungkook's lives. It made me forget all of my worries, my sorrows, my tensions and my depressed life. For the time being, it was just me, my new friends and tonnes of laughter and memories that I could bet I was never going to forget.

So this is what having real friends feels like....

This is so ecstatic... like a dream.

And if it is one, then I don't want to wake up.
