YKNOW FOR ONCE I FINISHED A FIC BEFORE I PUBLISHED IT WOW

I had this in my drafts since like.

February.

It took me like 6 months to finish 13 chapters

Like I did take a break bUT STILL

Also I know the ending was kinda confusing. If you don't get it I'd be happy to explain but I'm not doing it unless I need to so y'all gotta tell me

I also have a new story out yknow those shitty group chat fics yeah it's that except there's actually a plot instead of all caps for 393 pages. I hate books with like no plot I can't stand it.

Here are a few of the explanations I will pre-write:

Brendon's whole motive through this is to successfully find someone that'll match up or hit just below his skills in action so when he makes his debut alongside Animosity and Virulent, he'll seem tougher than he already is. He wanted to come off as strong + powerful off the bat and brainwashing a highly trained and praised agent from the main,,, agency thing,,,,, was the way he was going to do it.

Brendon is not the best actor in this I'm AWARE ik someone must've seen right through him. A lot of u did. I did. But that's also why his file for the agency was so "don't trust him" because they had the idea but didn't want to assume in case he really turned out to be insane or smthn

Nobody recognized him because, again, he hadn't made his big debut yet. He was friends with josh/virulent & Tyler/animosity previously but never made a public appearance as Arcane before.

Ryan is okay. He is not dead he's alive & well & he doesn't die. He's good. I love him.

They basically brainwashed Dallon I'm not even gonna sugarcoat it. Don't ask me how, they just did okay I'm not gonna research that someone's gonna check my search history and they'll see "ways to brainwash someone" and I'll be sent to therapy or smthn. But anyways gotta get that partner in crime to be a successful super villain amiright

Patrick was semi teamed up with Brendon + Tyler+Josh. He wasn't going to kill them but he was going to make it look like he was going to, same with that Deanna Lucas chick who died like. immediately. It was all kinda like a ploy to get Dallon to trust Brendon enough to get to the end of the road.

Yknow I also probably should've built up the plot a little more I don't think the whole J and D thing was a surprise enough after it was revealed who they really were but hey it wasn't bad. But the whole ending was a bIG SURPRISE AHA

Inimical and Enmity (even though they weren't totally in the story) were in on it. That's how Brendon got the tickets inside so easily and how he was able to actually get in. They understood the whole "two heads is better than one" thing & participated in the whole thing with a small part.
