I N T E R V I E W

"Hello! Today we have with us the beautiful Madison Lincoln!" The interviews greeted the camera as well as her guest with a cheery smile.

"I'm very excited to be here," Madison returned the welcome with a smile.

"So, we've seen you develop your career from such a young age with your modeling and acting. What is your take on being exposed to this world in your youth?" The interviewer, whose name was Kara, pondered aloud.

Madison was very used to these types of questions being asked and thus, had an answer already formed. Although the response would vary a little bit every time, she more or less knew what to say.

"Well," Madison began, brushing a lone strand of hair back behind her ear, "It has definitely been quite the experience. I am so incredibly thankful for all of the opportunities I have been given and although it can be stressing at times, I love staying busy and working on all of my projects. I would not go as far to say that I was thrown into this, per say, but instead given a head start," She finished eloquently with a bright smile.

"That is certainly a nice way of putting things," Kara responded with a quick glance toward the camera crew.

"Now, for your most popular project, The Walking Dead, we left off on quite abruptly with an intense episode." Kara guided the interview's focus with her acknowledgement, "How would you say this whole situation has affected your character, Saskia?"

"I think that Saskia's priorities have become clearer," Madison began with a chuckle, "She definitely has had the important of her father figure, Glenn, highlighted for her after she was led to believe that he had died and certainly was shaken up with Carl being shot. Saskia knows how much these people mean to her and although she would never take them for granted, it still shows how much she loves them in how deeply affected she was by all of this."

The interviewer hummed in agreement, flipping through her cards and tapped her long, acrylic nails on their edge.

"Now, we all know and love you in the apocalypse, but do you, by chance, have any projects coming up in the future?" Kara asked carefully, dancing around her words delicately.

Madison took a minute to take a breathe, fiddling with her fingers as she cautiously chose her next words in her head before she offered herself the chance to speak.

"Actually, I am in the process of finalizing my schedule for a new movie," Madison answered with a proud smile fighting its way on her face.

As a girl, she had always been worried that The Walking Dead was as far as she could go, and Madison's dreams did not want to end there. Although she adored working on the show, branching out while maintaining her role as Saskia seemed like a pleasant thought.

"Ooh!" The interviewer cheered, "Any details?"

"Unfortunately I can't spill anything quite yet," Madison said with a nervous chuckle, adjusting the ring on her finger.

"Oh, alright," Kara gave in with a sigh, "I am sure that all of your fans are just as excited as I am, dear!"

"Thank you so much, Kara," Madison acknowledged sweetly.

"Now, for our last question, we have noticed on your Instagram, which I highly encourage you all check out," Kara informed with a look towards the camera, "Because this girl is quite the little fashionista and posts behind the scenes action on the Walking Dead, that the cast is always in a frenzy in your comments with support. Who would you say you are closest to?"

"Oh my," Madison began with a laugh, "I'd have to say Lauren, Steven, Katleyn, Christian, other than my dad of course," she said honestly, "But I must say I love all of the cast. I spend more time with those four, but everyone that works on the show has a special place in my heart. I just," she paused, gathering her thoughts, "They mean the world to me and more!"

"Awe," Kara cooed, "It sounds like you're quite the sweetheart. But what about Chandler? You two seem pretty close, what with your characters being in love in all," she finished with a light chuckle.

Madison's face froze before she snapped herself out of the trance and repainted her interview face on, "Oh! Uh, yeah Chandler and I are incredibly close, always hanging out and such." She dubbed her recovery smoothly, "My mind must have just skipped over him because I just assumed I had already said his name."

Madison's response would sure to be found all over social media later, with fans finding it cute how she stumbled over her words mentioning her co-star, but she was sure that some would see through the lie. Her heart beat fast in her chest as she glanced behind the curtain at her father, who shot her a quick thumbs up, knowing nothing of the trouble with the boy.

After the interview ended and they bid their goodbyes with the crew, the father and daughter duo made their way to the car.

"You were great up there, Mad," Andy spoke kindly, "I am very proud of you." He enveloped her into a side hug as they finished the stroll to the car.

"Thanks, dad," she said shyly in a small voice.

Andrew simply placed a kiss on his daughter's head, noticing her apprehension and making a mental note to check on her in a few minutes once she had been properly given a minute to collect herself.
