Chapter 5; Bisheer

Dr. Trill emerged from a hallway that branched off the main area just in time to see the disturbed group of teenagers exit room sixty-nine. Deeming it safe to return to his patient, he tucked his phone into the pocket of his black work pants and trotted up to the door.

After a small knock to let the patient know he was coming, he opened he door. Rin was still sitting quietly in the pristine white room, hands neatly folded on his lap; seemingly oblivious to the blood flowing sluggishly from the numerous gashes in his skin.

"I—I'm sorry for leaving, mister, but your Sensei told me to. Besides, there's really nothing much I can do for you besides stitch up your wounds, and even that I'm unsure of; I've never had a demonic patient before, pardon my crudeness, but lucky enough for you, I've called in an expert and he should be here shortly!" The doctor spoke nervously, glancing from his watch to the door and back to Rin.

"Thank you, sir. Is there anything I can do for you?" The bluenette began to sit up, ignoring his body's protest, and the other member of the room rushed over to push him lightly back into the bed.

He removed his hand from Rin's chest so fast it was as if it had been burned, and then said, "Wh–why would you be asking me that, young man? That's my line. So, is there anything you want?"

If the old Rin was here, he would've realized that the doctor was trying to keep the formalities up because it was part of his job. He would've realized that the doctor was scared of the son of Satan. The new Rin, though, was used to this. Expected it. It was normal for him. So he simply responded with a zombie-like "no, thank you, sir."

Dr. Trill let out a sigh of relief, before the door opened and out stepped someone all too familiar to Rin.

The doctor's head whipped over so fast it was surprising he didn't get whiplash, and upon seeing the surgeon, he rushed out of the room, sputtering, "He's here, I'll go now! Have a nice day!"

Even as Dr. Trill was saying this, Rin had already leapt out of bed and onto one knee, the other one propped up, one fist on the floor and the other behind his back. He ducked his head down and tucked his tail between his legs in submission.

"Greetings, master, how may I be of service? I await your every order."

"Rise, Experiment Zero. Sit back down. After all, I'm only here to help." The man spoke with a devilish smile, in a deep, ominous voice.

He was a tall, lanky male, with black hair and sunken eyes that were as cold as ice. They looked to be shooting daggers at anyone who dared stare into them. There was no inviting shine in their rocky depths to say "hey, I won't hurt you." Iris blended with pupil, such a dark brown that it would be mistaken as black. The eyes were extremely bloodshot, coupled with huge insomnia marks under them. He also had sharp cheekbones, and the skin that was stretched over them was so pale, it was almost white. The man's mouth seemed to be permanently sketched into a cruel smirk, and overall he looked like he wouldn't hesitate to crush anyone who looked at him wrong. The look was completed with a name tag that read "Doctor Bisheer" and a lab coat that was a pristine white.

The real thing about him that caught the eye was his mangled stump of an ear, which seemed to be bitten off and then gnashed at with sharp claws. It had scarred over horribly, and looked to be pulled straight from a horror movie. He also sported huge, deep claw marks on his collarbone, which had to be at least an inch deep when they were dealt, but had puffed up with scar tissue until they stood a good half inch above the regular skin. The area around this particular wound was twisted and bumpy with scarred over burn marks. The scars were so bad that the skin looked like it had melted, swirled around, and then cooled all over again.

Rin shot back up and into the bed and sat with his tail still tucked as close to his body as possible, following his master's every order. His head tilted in another slight bow and stayed there.

"I totally forgot about the wolfsbane.. It's very disappointing that I have to waste this on you, Experiment Zero.." Dr. Bisheer grumbled, mostly to himself, but Rin's demonic hearing caught it.

"Don't waste it on me then, Master. I am perfectly fine." Rin insisted.

"Did I give you permission to speak, Zero? I think not. Now, I will do what I want, when I want, and you don't ever say otherwise." The scientist snapped, glaring daggers at Rin.

Rin opened his mouth to apologize, cowering in fear, but then thought better of it when he caught another glimpse of the doctors expression. Said doctor pulled out a small jar of what seemed to be glowing gold fire, and handed it to Rin with the command of "drink." Rin did just that, slurping it down as if it was water. Almost immediately after the liquid hit the back of his throat, he started to glow a bright blue. His wounds closed up, and all that remained was a greenish black mist that was drawn out of his body, and then captured in the jar. The wounds stopped bleeding almost immediately after that, and began to close up, even over broken stitches.

"I told the doctors to do this after we were done with you, not–not stitch you up!" Dr. Bisheer growled, tutting in his calm fury. "Now if you will excuse me, I have some people to fire. You're free to go back home now."

And then he left with a "yes, sir, thank you, sir" following him out the door.
