Mark's POV

I stared at him, paying attention to his movement. 

"What?" He asked quietly, looking at me with confusion. God, he was cute.

"I dared you to kiss me," I said, smiling. A lot more confidently then the first time I said anything. I felt myself getting nervous. There was a lot of things running through my head. 

Did I just ruin our friendship?

Is he actually going to kiss me?

Does he like me like that?

What's going to happen?

He's just gonna walk away isn't he?

I tried to stay looking confident, but it was difficult. I was starting to regret my decision in asking him to kiss me. I wanted him to, I really did, but I would understand if he didn't want to, I mean he could be straight. 

I really screwed up. 

"You don't have to if you really don't want to. You can pass on this dare if you want, I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked you to do that, you can forget about it," I rambled on and on, about how I was sorry and how I was stupid to dare him that. It was true, I was very stupid for asking this. 

"Mark," His voice made me shut up and he walked closer to me, I could feel how nervous he was, "Be quiet," He said, and by now I was looking down at him.

Oh my god, is this really going to happen?

"I never back down from a dare," After he said that, I was caught by surprise when I felt a pair of lips meet mine. I was tense at first, and so was he. Once my eyes close though, I relaxed into the kiss, and I believe feeling myself relax, he relaxed. My hands moved to his waist, and I felt his reach my chest. It was just supposed to be a peck, just lips on lips, but now it was a passionate, sweet kiss. He was the one who broke it, pulling away slowly, he looked up at me, his hands still on my chest"Uh," He chuckled awkwardly, "That was.. Nice," He smiled softly at me. I felt the butterflies. The fireworks, whatever you want to call them. I felt them. 

"Yeah... It was," I smiled at him, about to say something else before I was interrupted. 

"Sean!" Jack's eyes widened,he looked behind me, then to me. Backing up away a little bit, I looked behind me, and nearby I saw a car. A junk car. "Sean, get your ass in this god damned car!" Jack's eyes had fear in them, and he looked down, walking towards the car. Once he was by me, he whispered, "Text me once you get home," and after that he ran to the car, getting in. The windows rolled up and by the guy's facial expression, and the way he was moving, he was yelling at Jack. You could also tell by the fact that of how Jack was flinching. Wait, is that his dad? Did he see us? I watched as he drove away, taking Jack home. 

I ran.

I ran towards home, I guess you could say I followed them since we do indeed live with each other. I needed to make sure he was okay. Shit. I got scared. What if he hurts Jack? What if he's the one who gives Jack all of those bruises? I got home, and I sat outside for awhile. I waited a good half hour or so before I texted Jack. 

Jack?

I waited for 15 minutes then texted him again:

Jack? Please are you okay?

Few minutes later

Where are you? I'm freaking out, Jack.

I stood up and looked at his house, specifically Jack's room. I didn't move. I stayed outside, near Jack's window. 

~Time Skip~

It's been a whole hour and a half, I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack. Jack still hasn't answered and I'm beyond worried of what happened. What if he's hurt? My head snapped over when I heard the front door slam, at first I got happy, I thought it was Jack, but my happiness faded when I saw the guy, who I think was his dad, go to the car. His hands were balled in a fist, they were red. I'm pretty sure they were bloody as well. Oh god, please don't let it be Jack's blood. I hid, making sure he wouldn't find me. Once I saw his car leave the driveway, it was a good five minutes when my phone rung.

It was Jack.

"M-Mark.." His voice was shaky, had he been crying? "I-I need help. Fuck, I feel like I'm dying."
