Kristal Maximoff's POV

My arm ached. I'd been training with Wanda, and since our abilities were similar, we went all out. I'd thrown a boulder with my telekinesis, she'd nearly uprooted a tree trying to swing it's branches. But right now I didn't care about who won our petty battles, because the base was under attack. And I knew that I couldn't do a lot to help the soldiers, because Strucker always said that I 'was to valuable to use' and that I 'should surprise everyone with my powers'. Even my- my mother said that one day I'd change the world. That day would be soon. I knew it.

I'd been at the Hydra base in Sokovia for 8 years. I'd been tested on by the scepter that was once held by Loki. I, unlike the other people who worked and lived at the base, knew that the scepter had something special to it. Maybe I was insane. It was definitely a possibility. But it almost... Called to me. As if knew me. And it did, in a way. It was the very object that had given me my powers. Not stupid things, like sparks, and strength. No, it gave me something far better.

My powers were like my sisters, but at the same time, so, so different. I had umbrakinesis, (A/N that means shadow manipulation.) and telekinesis, telepathy, a small amount of illusion making, pain tolerance, electricity absorption (A/N not to wield, it just is a part of pain tolerance.) and enhanced speed, hearing, and healing. Not as fast as Pietro, but faster than the normal human. 

(A/N Bold is Sokovian) "We need to send out the twins. And the younger one, too, I suppose." Dr. Wright said. He was the one who had found us, and had sent Strucker to recruit us from the terrible orphanage. 

"No, we can't. They are our most valuable weapon." The Baron whispered, then he shouted, "THE AMERICANS HAVE SENT THEIR CIRCUS FREAKS HERE. WE WILL SEND THEM BACK IN BAGS. NO SURRENDER." Strangely enough, when he turned back to Wright, he said he was going to surrender. I didn't hear the rest of their conversation, because Pietro picked me up, along with Wanda, and sped us outside. 

We didn't get to go outside much, and the feel of snow on my bare hands felt nice. While the compound had felt like home, a twisted one, but still a home, out here was different. Cleaner. More free. I smiled, and then remembered why we were out here when a roar was heard. I used my illusion magic to turn invisible. Then I snuck towards a woman with fiery red hair, and a black suit. She held out her arm, and a small disk shot out, electrifying everything it touched. I grabbed it out of the air, and she blinked, confused. She then spoke into her ear piece.

"Stark, what is our status on the defenses?" With my hearing, I could hear Stark say 'They're down. Why?' 

"Can you do a heat scan over by me?" 'Sure. You are fighting four people annnnd one of them just turned and looked at me. Well, I guess Iron Man. That's weird, when I look over there, the person looking at me isn't there...' "Team, we have an enhanced. Outside. Uh, known powers are invisibility." Another person spoke, this time with an air of regal-ness. 'I encountered another enhanced. Do NOT engage. Repeat, do NOT engage. Powers seem to be telekinesis...' 

I snorted and walked off. Me, with invisibility? Once I got into the base, I dropped the illusion and made 'drones' to fly out and attack Tony Stark. Why him? He killed my parents. (A/N Me trying so hard not to make a princess bride reference) I'll explain later. I then made a mind link with Wanda and Pietro. (Wanda Pietro Kris)

Wanda, where are you?
