"Now w-wait please!!"

It was dead at night as a man was running away. Deep in the wood's multiple, dead bodies the man trip himself and turn around.

"I-I'll give you everything! Money! Wom-Aaahh!!"

The man panicked when his arm was suddenly chopped off. He screamed only to be jolted as it made him shut up.

"You honestly disgust me." A young but deep voice came as they were walking past the multiple bodies.

"But yet your body is a different story." Red eyes shine bright as it stares at the frightening man.

"So, I wonder..." They were in front of the man, licking the blood and tears off of him before a creature slowly emerges from the shadow.

"What does flavor hides in there?"

Third Person POV:

"All right, everyone. Today you'll start practicing with shuriken."

It was at the Academy as Shino explains to everyone today's exercise. "I know you're all beginners, but that's okay. That's because you're at the Academy to learn. Now, please be extremely careful, so that you don't end up hurting yourself or hitting your classmates."

'I feel like he jinxes himself.' Y/n thought to himself as immediately Shino almost got hit.

Multiple kids threw them as they were excited to throw something sharp. Shino quickly got out of the way as he watches the kids continue to their exciting assault on the target.

"They're not listening at all." Shino sweatdrops as he watches his students.

Sumire tries to throw it as it missed the target. "No, I just can't seem to get this right," she frowned.

"It would be much better for me if I was drawing. Hmph!" Inojin also tries as he perfectly hit the middle of the target.

"Yeah, I'm with you there." Shikadai agreed. "We've already been doing this kinda stuff at home."

"Hmph!" A kid with black hair got into a stance as he perfectly hit the target twice, "Since secluding myself and immersing myself in training, my shuriken technique's perfect!"

He has shiny black hair worn in a bowl-cut style, dark eyes, and very thick eyebrows. His eyes, however, are noticeably sharper. His likeness is further perpetuated by his attire: he wears a green jumpsuit with orange leg warmers, a scarf, and bandages over his hands.

"He's good." Shikadai complimented as the kid suddenly became very nervous.

'Wait! Shikadai and everyone else is watching! Oh no, if everyone is watching would that mean he's-!!' The bowl-cut kid panicked as he missed the target.

"Guess my hand must have slipped!" The bowl-cut kid made an embarrassed laugh, "That is so weird."

"Outta the way!" Shikadai and Inojin turn to see Boruto holding a Fūma Shuriken, "This is how I do it!"

"Hey!" Shikadai yell as Inojin gasps, "Isn't that dangerous?"

"Demon Wind Shuriken! Go!" Boruto throws the shuriken as Shikadai and Inojin jump out of the way while heading to the bowl-cut kid.

"Hmm. That shuriken is so unsteady! With my kick, I will..." The bowl-cut kid smirks.

"Metal!" Sumire yell as everyone watched and panicked.

The bowl-cut kid Metal panicked and became nervous again. "Oh, uh, L-L-Leaf Hurricane!"

Metal goes for the kick as it got caught to where the handle is. Metal started yelling as he was flying off when the blade got caught, creating a small dust cloud.

"Real mature Boruto." The dust was clear as it was Y/n who sighs.

"Are you all, right?" Shino, Boruto, and Sumire rush to them as Metal was hanging on while Y/n was still holding to the blade.

"Uh, y-yes." Metal look dizzy as his foot slipped out, making him fall to the ground.

"You're Metal right?" Boruto looks down, "I'm sorry about that."

"Was this supposed to be another one of your pranks?" Shino questioned.

"Uhh." Boruto look to the side as Y/n looked that the shuriken, "Boruto, where did you even get this?"

Shikadai and Inojin walk up as Inojin nods, "Plus you aren't supposed to use Demon Wind Shuriken yet."

"I don't know, I found it in a locker so..." Boruto answers.

"Hey!" They turn to see Iwabee running to them as he points at the shuriken Y/n was holding, "That's my Demon Wind Shuriken! You can't just take it!"

"Oh, that was yours, huh?" Boruto smiles as Y/n look at Boruto, the look at the blade before looking back at Boruto.

"You guys..." Then they turn to Shino. "All of you come to the teacher's office after class."

"But!" Boruto yells but Shino interrupts, "No but's."

"Wait, even us too?" Y/n question as everyone else was shocked. "We didn't even do anything!" Inojin stated.

"It's called "collective responsibility," Shino stated as everyone else complains.

Metal was on the ground as he looked frustrated. 'This should have been a piece of cake! But I couldn't. When I get nervous, I always mess up!'

"Are you okay?" Metal put his head back when it landed on someone's legs.

He looks up as he realizes his head is on Y/n's legs. "O-Oh! Yeah, I'm fine! I can take on strong hits so don't worry!"

Metal started laughing as his face red. Y/n looks at Metal with concern before taking their words as he starts heading to class.

Metal stood up as he froze when he now was seeing multiple dark shadows as their red eyes glares at him.

Time Skip Jutsu

The class was over as Y/n, Boruto, Shikadai, Inojin, Iwabee, Metal, and Sumire were at the teacher's office.

"I pulled my share of pranks when I was young, too. So, I do understand." Shino spoke, "But still, you guys fool around too much."

"Only one person was fooling around," Shikadai complained.

Shino sighs, "Listen, you're setting a bad example for your classmates. I'm assigning you some volunteer work outside of class."

"Huh?!" Y/n's eyes widen as he heard what Shino said. "Uh, does that include us?" Sumire asks as she looks at Metal who was also thinking the same thing.

"You two will supervise the others. Understood?" Shino instructed as both of them groan.

"Wait! Why me, I stopped the shuriken and stop Metal from potential harm!?" Y/n explain as Iwabee stepped up as well, "How come we have to?"

"Oh, so we're not gonna forget the incident with you two?" Shino reminded as both of them now joined as they groan.

They went outside as they see the Hokage statues as Boruto groaned. "This?"

"That's right. The one that you crashed into and damaged with that train." Shikadai reminded as everyone now see what they have to do.

"Oh good, I've been waiting!" They turn as they were greeted by the Site Leader. "You're the students from the Academy, right? Shino Sensei told me to expect you. These repairs require great care and attention. Just think of it as part of your ninjutsu training and do your best!"

"Kay," Boruto stated.

"Looking forward to helping out!" Everyone else stated.

Time Skip Jutsu

They were working on repairing Naruto's Hokage face as Boruto groans. "Isn't there some ninjutsu we can use to fix this all at once?"

"By all rights, you should be doing this by yourself." Inojin intervened as Boruto rolls his eyes.

"I'm guessing that all of this work is more of a drag for you, Class Rep." Shikadai guessed.

"It's okay, I like construction work," Sumire chuckles. "Besides, working to fix a Hokage's Great Stone Face is an unbelievable honor."

"Yeah, you got that right, Miss Class Representative." Boruto sarcastically stated.

Y/n looks at Sumire as he furrows his brows. Taking a look at Sumire he could see a lard shadow as their eyes are like a rainbow. He suddenly hears a nervous groan as he turns to see Metal.

'Repairing the Great Stone Faces. I just can't mess this up.' Metal noted himself. They continue their work as they were getting more confident in rebuilding Naruto's Great Stone Face.

"I bet I could do this by myself," Boruto stated confidently. "Wait, Boruto!" Shikadai yells.

Sumire looks down to see what they were doing. "Hah, yeah!" Boruto grunted.

The two of them were sitting down as they were playing a consul game. "Hold up!" Shikadai yells, "Don't charge in alone!"

"No, no, no!" Boruto yells as they died.

"And we were at a good spot in the level too!" Inojin yells. Boruto, Shikadai, Inojin, and Iwabee were sitting down as all four of them were playing their consul game.

"Uh, sorry." Boruto chuckles as he scratches his head.

"Everyone!" They look up to see Sumire, "Let's please try to keep our breaks short, okay?"

"My bad!" Boruto apologizes. "Let's get this finished up soon!" Sumire encourages as Boruto nods.

"I think that we've managed to get most of the work done already." Shikadai stood up before looking to the side, "It's just your part left, Metal."

They look to see Metal rushing their work as they started to panic. "Whoa, hey there, Metal. Metal!"

Suddenly cracks started to appear as they started to spread out. Shikadai's eyes widen as he quickly grabs Metal as chunks of rocks started to fall towards Metal, "Come on!"

The rocks stopped falling as it show Naruto's top right face being crumbled. "Aw, come on!" Boruto complains before looking up, "Y/n, Class Rep, are you guys, okay?"

"Yeah, we're fine!" Y/n answers. He was in front of Sumire as he was shielding her.

"Oh no." Shikadai scratches the back of his head as he sees the damage. "Man, we did it this time."

Metal gasps as he sees what he has done. He then starts sobbing as he knows that it was his fault.

Time Skip Jutsu

It was sunset as everyone was exhausted from doing the work. "Today sure was a rough one," Boruto sighs.

"Whose fault was it that we were there in the first place?" Inojin is reminded as Boruto chuckles. "Oh, hey guys, how about we stop for burgers? I have some sweet coupons we can use!"

Y/n looks down as he slowly put his hand over his stomach. He almost hit Metal as he realizes that they stopped walking. He notices that Metal was looking at the Stone Face as he turns towards them.

"Metal, don't let this get to you." Metal looks to see that Y/n was looking at him. "Don't use your energy trying to make it all perfect. We're not professionals at those types of work."

"But, but..." Metal tries to say something but the words won't come out.

"Just by working hard doesn't mean that you're doing it in the right way." Y/n explains, "Sometimes it can make things worse, or it could end up skipping over what's important."

Metal sighs as Y/n look at him with small concerns. "Hey, you make mistakes whenever you're feeling nervous right?"

Metal gasps as he looks up. "How did you know that?"

"Did you think that wasn't obvious to everyone?" Y/n questioned. "Besides all that, no matter how hard you train by yourself "in seclusion." If you don't overcome your nervousness, then all of your training will become useless."

"Oh, I didn't...I didn't realize..." Metal spoke as he slowly points out a direction. "Well, my house is that way so..."

"So, I'll come with you," Y/n stated as Metal's eyes widen. "Come on, lead the way."

Metal's face turns red as he robotically walks off. Y/n turn around and wave at everyone else before following Metal.

The two of them started walking as it was quiet. "So... why do you do it?" Metal look at Y/n who tries to reword his question, "I mean, why do you isolate yourself? I know that it might be because you are nervous, but I can tell that your nervousness isn't like that."

Metal froze as he didn't know what to say. Suddenly he tacks off running as Y/n's eyes widen, "Wait Metal!"

Metal was already out of sight as Y/n froze, "D-Did I say something wrong?"

"Hang on you look familiar?" Y/n turn around to see a woman walking towards him.

The woman has dark green eyes and sandy blonde hair, which is gathered into four consecutive pigtails. She wears a dark blue short-sleeved dress that reached her above her knees, a black wrapped around her waist that had a thin white line in the middle, and opened-toed, knee-high black boots.

"Huh?" Y/n question as the woman smiles. "Now I know you, Y/n, right? My son talks sometimes about you."

"I'm sorry but who are you?" Y/n raised an eyebrow. "Oh right, my name is Temari, I'm Shikadai's mom." The woman Temari introduced, "Why not join us for dinner?"

"O-Oh I can't!" Y/n shook his head, "I'll just intrude and-"

"Nonsense!" Temari smiles, "Besides what Shikadai says about you, I already like you."

Y/n's eyes widen, "What has he said about me?"

"Oh, nothing much, just how you can be a "drag". Constantly looking after my brat whenever you think he'll get in trouble. In a way, let this be a payment for looking after him." Temari explains.

Y/n didn't answer Temari happily grabs him as she pull him to her house. '...I didn't even, never mind.'

Temari and Y/n made it to the Nara residence. "Please come inside, I need to talk to Shikadai for a second." Temari smiles as Y/n froze.

He recognizes that smile as it was something that someone very close to him will make whenever she has to act very kindly and nice. 'Nee-San...'

Y/n nodded as the two of them went inside as Temari walked off to where Shikadai was. "All right! Just what did you get up to in school today?!"

He could hear Temari and Shikadai talking as he zoned out of it. He looks around the place as he can see that it's a nice, warm home. Though he can see some pictures as he takes a look at them.

Most of them are Shikamaru, Shikadai, and Temari. But he also notices one picture that stood out to his eyes.

It was a picture with Naruto as he was with someone else. It was another man who has red hair as Y/n couldn't help but stare at the two of them. It was making him feel weird, it felt like an old forgotten warmth has slowly been getting to him.

"Shikamaru. You are far too easy on that boy. And that's the reason he's always getting into such trouble." He snapped out of his daze as he could hear Temari talking.

"And now I'm getting scolded." Now he can hear Shikamaru as he sighs.

He hears Temari grunts as he follows the voice, "I'm telling you this for the sake of the entire Nara family...and you're sitting there giving me attitude?!"

He stops walking as he was near a door as he can officially hear Temari from there. "Let me guess. You two were just thinking, "what a drag," right?"

"No dinner! For either of you!" Temari concluded. "What's worse is that we have a guest, but you guys do this!"

"Huh?" Both Nara males question as Temari opens the door as Y/n was now present.

"Hold on Y/n?!" Shikadai stood as Temari stood next to Y/n. "That's right, I invited him here since you couldn't keep your mouth shut about him. But it seems that we'll be having a future son-in-law moment."

Temari walked off as Y/n joined in but was confused about what Temari meant by 'future son-in-law'. However, it was different to the Nara males as Shikadai blushed hard and Shikamaru choked on his drink.

After dinner and Y/n answering some questions Temari had, he looked for Shikadai as he found in sitting outside. "Do I say too much?" Shikadai questioned himself.

"Yes very much." Shikadai jolted up and see Y/n looking at him.

"What a drag." Y/n chuckles before he sits next to him. "So... what have you been saying about me?" Y/n suddenly asks.

"I-It's nothing! Just go home!"

Time Skip Jutsu

It was the next day as Y/n, Boruto, Shikadai, and Inojin were walking to school.

"Damn it. You don't have a care in the world." Shikadai stated as Boruto was yawning loudly for the third time.

Y/n turns to the side his eyes widen, "Metal!" He goes towards Metal when suddenly he caught a familiar scent, 'It's that demonic scent Denki had.'

Metal suddenly jumps up the roof as Y/n turns towards it, "W-Wait Metal!" Y/n jumps up as he could hear Boruto calling to him with worried.

Y/n ignored him as he sees Metal. "Hey Metal, I wanna talk to you. I'm sorry that I-!"

Metal suddenly turns towards Y/n as he tries to punch him. Y/n quickly dodges it, "M-Metal!"

'Could it be by that demonic scent?' Metal tries to punch Y/n as he blocks all of them as his back was on a wall. Y/n ducks as Metal goes for a kick as it went through a wall.

"Fine! Let's fight!" Y/n swift flipped over Metal as he tosses him over his shoulder.

Metal swiftly landed on the ground as he gets into a fighting stance. "Witness my true strength. This is what I am like when I am not nervous."

Metal's scent, his fighting stance, they were clouding Y/n's mind. It was like he could see something different. A pale muscular male with multiple criminal lines covering their body.

"You little..." Veins were showing as Y/n glare at Metal. "How dare you resemble him!"

Metal went for another kick but Y/n caught it as he gripped the ankles hard. He swings Metal around as he throws Metal to the wall.

Metal crashed at the wall but looked unbothered as he smirks. "Perfect! That's why I like-!"

"Hey, Y/n! Are you okay down there?" Boruto, Inojin, and Shikadai were on top of the wall roof.

They landed in front of Y/n as they look at Metal. "You're fighting Metal?" Inojin questioned.

Y/n didn't answer as he glares at Metal. "I'm gonna crush him."

"Get in the way and you will get no mercy either." Metal threatened. Y/n push them out of his way as they were getting ready to fight.

'It's the same.' Boruto was looking at Metal as he could see the purple aura around him. Suddenly a new color was seething through Boruto's eyes as he sees a red aura. He looks around to see that it was coming from Y/n, 'Wait, this is new!'

"Hmm?" Inojin notices Boruto's expression. "What's up, Boruto?"

"Uh, you guys. Wait you can't see that?" Boruto asks. "What are you talking about?" Shikadai questioned, "Never mind! Metal's lost, Y/n only sees red. What do we do now?"

"I don't know." Boruto answers, "But if we do nothing, both of them might get seriously hurt."

Metal brought out shuriken as Y/n brought out kunai. Boruto, Inojin, and Shikadai gasped as the two males were back to fighting.

Metal throws his shurikens as Y/n deflects one of them as he dodges the other. Y/n goes and swings his knives as Metal dodges them.

"I don't think I've ever seen Y/n so angry." Boruto commented as he turns to Shikadai, "So you got a strategy for us or what?"

"Calm down! Just give me a chance to think! Let me see..." Suddenly they grab Y/n, "Run away!"

They started running away as Y/n was thrashing around. "Put me down! I'm not a fucking child!" Metal also grunts as he follows after the four of them.

They were still running as they were running through the hallways. Many kids could see the panicked males and the two males that look like they want to fight each other.

"Ugh!" They were outside as Y/n slaps Boruto as he not only let go but crash near a tree. Shikadai and Inojin gasp as they rush to Boruto.

Now it was Metal and Y/n again. "I'm gonna fucking kill you, then I'll absorb you with my spirits!"

Y/n rush to Metal as he cuts Metal's arm. Metal groaned as he landed a kick on Y/n as he quickly grabs Metal's face. Glaring hardly at Metal, Y/n pull his arm as he was about to bash it to the ground.

"Shadow Paralysis Jutsu!"

Y/n glaringly turns to see Shikadai's shadow trying to reach them as Y/n harshly pulls Metal out of the way. "You won't escape!" Shikadai grunts.

The shadow chases them as Y/n throws Metal before jumping out of the way as the shadow stopped its stretch. "You told you to interfere!" Y/n demanded, "Stay in the shadow where you belong or else!"

"Ninja Art! Super Beast Scroll!"

Suddenly multiple birds started to swarm Y/n as he slashes them off but got himself paralyze. 'How did this little...!' Y/n look down but see the direction of the shadow, "You little shits!"

"Shadow Paralysis Jutsu is now completed." Another Shikadai appeared from the bush as they smirk.

"Then who the hell...!?" Veins were showing on Y/n's forehead and neck as he looks to see that the previous Shikadai was Boruto. Then the shadows turn into snacks as it was from Inojin.

"How dare you trick me! You are worthless! Self-centered! Arrogant! Nobody!" Y/n yells as his eyes change. His pupil slanted as small lightning started to spark around him.

"What the?!" Boruto's eyes widen. "How is he so strong?" Shikadai struggled to speak, 'If he keeps this up the jutsu won't hold! Sorry, Y/n.'

"Hey, Boruto you have to knock Y/n out!" Shikadai yells as everyone's eyes widen.

"What? And how exactly do I do that?" Boruto questioned. "I don't know, punch him!" Shikadai yell.

"You think you can hurt me? Your weak!" Boruto's eyes widen at what Y/n's saying, "Wh-What?"

"Like hell that someone like you can hurt me! You're nothing! A self-center brat! Always causing trouble and making others get dragged down! Daddy's little shadow!"

Boruto was shaking as he froze. "Always complaining about him! Well, at least you have one! At least you have someone who didn't try and get rid of you-!

Everyone gasps as Y/n's eyes slowly close. He was falling as it was Metal who then caught him.

"Metal!" Inojin yells as Shikadai released the Jutsu. "I... I'm sorry, I don't know what happened to me. But when I was thrown, it was like I snapped out of it."

Shikadai sighs, "Oh man, that was a drag." He looks to the side and sees Boruto.

Boruto was breathing hard as he fell to the ground. His eyes were watery as he couldn't stop himself as he cries.

'Y/n is that how you think...?'

"Boruto..." Everyone turns and sees Boruto. "Hey, don't take his words. He might've been under the same condition that Metal was in." Inojin assured.

Boruto silently nodded as they take Y/n to the Academy's nurse. However, the words that Y/n stated echoed to their heads, making them think of one thing.

'What happened to you?'
