This is a continuation of the last chapter as promised there is a flashback . This chp is dedicated to @Starwing12 for she reminded me to update this book.

Damian's pov

I remember it like it was yesterday

~Flashback~

Mar'i was standing near the door she had a packed suit case in her hand and a letter in the other 

"Damian , I don't think this is working anymore , I know you are busy and all and your work at Wayne enterprises is important I know it is , but ... I loved you cause you gave me hugs , kisses and most of all you gave me your love " she said softly  

"Gave , Mar'i , I'm giving you my love , all this that I do , I do it for you for us , and here you are whining that I don't give you hugs and kisses , grow up Mar'i " I screamed , it wasn't the first time our screams echoed in our apartment , we had these fights before , we had them often , but they didn't reach to a point where Mar'i had a packed bag in her hand  

"Damian.....there was a time when you loved me for this kind of childish acts " she said 

" People change ,Mar'i , you should too " I  said 

" Damian , I don't see why I should stay with someone , who doesn't love me for who I am " She said and then left not before throwing the letter in my face , she took everything that belonged to her, except for me and the gifts I gave her 

~End of Flashback~ 

"Heeeellllllooooooooooooooo" I hear a cute voice , I look down to see Jake who was looking at me 

" Uh yes " I said 

" were you even listening to me " He asked , I nodded , but he didn't stop staring at me 

"No" I said defenseless

" you yourself are terrible at lying " he said " or maybe I'm just good at catching lies"   

" the second option sounds right " I said 

"or maybe you just don't want to accept it " He responded 

"thats not true " i said 

Mar'i's pov

I see Damian and Jake talking , they seemed so happy , its so funny to see Damian , he's changed so much , from a person who didn't have time to go to a movie , to a person who came hours early , from a person who didn't enjoy children , to a man who has my child on his lap, he's truly changed so much.....

~Flashback~ 

It had only been a month since Damian joined Wayne Enterprises to help grandpa Bruce, we haven't stopped fighting ever since , I wasn't very happy with it , I knew damian had to work hard to take Bruce Wayne's place but recently we haven't spent any time together I'm not happy anymore , he's not happy anymore.I feel this isn't working anymore , *sigh* or maybe I just need to take some time off 

Call with Damian 

Mar'i: Hello dami

Damian :   Mar'i *frustrated*

Mar'i : R u free 

Damian : ...

Mar'i : I thought we could go to the park 

Damian : ...💢 Mar'i have you any idea how much work I have , I don't have time to fulfill your childish wishes , I have more important things to do 

Mar'i : *tears in eyes* am I not important anymore 

Damian : ...*hangs up*

end of call

I couldn't keep it to myself anymore...I couldn't hold back anymore....I need to leave.... 

I sat on Damian's study table and wrote him a letter , the letter contained words of a broken heart , emotions and tear stains , I folded it and put it in an envelope , I remove the ring that Damian gave me and put it in the same envelope before sealing it . I took all his gifts and put it in a box and kept it there.My tears stained every thing , it wasn't easy for me to leave damian , he was a big part of my life ,I couldn't deny it no matter what......

Time skip to when Mar'i's photo shoot ends 

Mar'i pov 

"I'm all done boys " I say as I walk up to damian and jake 

"I hope you weren't troubled" i asked

"no mom dami is really smart , I had an enjoyable time with him"jake said 

"I was asking Damian actually " I said a little embarrassed , Jake was now pouting with his arms crossed 

"*chuckles* he's just like you but smarter "said Damian , and I only glared at him 

" we should get going " he said changing the topic

"okay , but where are we going " Jake asked 

"Ice-cream?" he asked

" YES!!! I LOVE ICE CREAM" jake screamed attracting a lot of attention from my other colleges , making me embarrassed

"ok lets go " I said  and left not before apologizing to every one 

"do you like Icecream dami"jake asked 

"no , I don't like sweet things...except your mother " damian said 

"*chuckles * have you tasted mommy " jake asked 

" yes,yes I have " damian said smirking as I blushed 

"how do you taste a human " jake asked confused 

"uhh_" damian was interrupted by me " oh look there's an ice cream parlor" 

 "Where ?" jake asked 

"there" I said pointing at the shop 

" ooooo I love chocolate " Jake said 

"ok you both take a seat , I'll get the ice cream " damian said 

"but mom would like_" jake said

"strawberry Ice cream ,I know"damian completed and I smiled

Damian got the two ice cream cones to where we were seated , we ate the ice cream and spoke about how things were in the manor , until jake decided to share his ice cream with damian 

" you should taste it , you'll love it , please"jake said with baby doll eyes , no one could resist those eyes not me, not damian ,nobody , so thats how Damian Wayne had his first bite of ice cream

"you never took ice cream from me when I pleaded  " I said 

"maybe you were not as cute as me , right dami?" jake asked

"she was...is cute , though she never shared her ice cream with me" damian said looking at me 

"excuse me " I said quite offended 

" what about that time I was giving you the vanilla ice cream " I said in defense

 "exactly , it was vanilla , and you don't like vanilla , which is why you were giving it to me " damian said , I opened my mouth to say something , but I sadly didn't know what to say 

"wow dami you kknow mommy very well , you both must have been very close " jake said 

Damian's pov

 "wow dami you kknow mommy very well , you both must have been very close " jake said , yup we were very close , like skin-to-skin close , I wanted to say but I held back 

"yes , we were " Mar'i answered 

"what happened then " jake asked 

" we went our separate ways" Mar'i said sadly 

"Why ? " jake questioned again 

" cause I couldn't give her time , and there's never a day I don't regret it " i said 

" that's very childish you mommy " jake said 

" and that childish act was what made Mar'i , Mar'i" I said with a sad smile as I reflected on the old days , the days when Mar'i was mine...
