Demona was falling, the ground coming toward her after the piece of building fell on top of her and that human. Her body was on fire, the wind rushing past her, as she readied herself for the crash.

Sleep, Demona... I will send you to a new place... and put you in a new form... you must learn the real meaning of family... murmured a soft male voice in her head.

What...? Demona thought groggily, unable to resist as she felt herself going unconscious.

Twittering birds and strange trumpeting noises hit her ears. Demona blinked her eyes open to be hit by blinding sunlight, lying on a grassy field.

Where am I? What happened to me? She thought, getting to her feet. Demona raised her hand to rub her head, only to see a furry cat paw with golden fur.

Panic overtook the gargess as she looked over her hand, which had retractable claws. What was going on? And why wasn't she stone when it was clearly daytime where she was.

Spotting a small pond nearby, she looked in, and screamed.

A lioness's face with a red tuft of fur with her eye color stared back at her. Her fur bristled in shock. Had she been turned into a lion?! She was a gargoyle! This can't be happening to her!

Her breath came in short panicked gasps as she tried to calm herself and figure out what to do. Whoever did this to her obviously had plans. Somehow, she would return to her world and extract her revenge on Goliath and the humans once and for all.

But then, she started paying attention to the birds and smells, her lioness senses coming on. This was her first time not being Stone in the day since she was a lioness, and it was rather pretty, the sun showed more colors than the night did, and Demona could see all sorts of animals, striped horses, tall necked animals, and some big ones with long noses, along with different kinds of birds.

I've obviously entered a place with no humans, so this is a bonus for me, she thought, putting on a smile, as she began to roam the plains.

Demona wandered the plains, slowly getting more used to her upgraded senses, until at one point her stomach growled.

Guess I should eat, she thought for herself, sniffing around, hoping some sort of food would present itself.

Then a pungent but delicious scent hit her nose, and her eyes spotted a deer like animal that was already dead, the red meat showing, making her stomach growl even more.

Demona approached it, sniffing the meat carefully. It still smelled somewhat fresh, and deemed safe to eat. Ravenously she began to tear into the flesh of the deer creature, which was an Antelope. It satisfies her to tear into the flesh, imagining it to be a human, which took off her anger a tad, still hating Goliath for betraying her for a human.

Demona was unaware of pairs of eyes watching her, too focused on eating. It was three hyenas, eyeing the new lioness with a evil delight.

Her ears picked up strange noise, sounding strangely like laughter, mixed with growls. Narrowing her eyes, her fur bristled as Demona turned to see what was stalking her: three mangy dog like creatures, with hunger in their eyes.

"Well, well, Banzai, what do we have here? A rogue lioness, eating our meat," sneered the female leader, as the first male smirked. "Sure looks like it Shenzi. What do you think, Ed?"

All the third did was laugh insanely, eyes crossing, weirding Demona out as she stood near her rightful meal.

"You dogs stay back, I claimed this, it's mine!" She snarled, unsheathing her claws threateningly. Shenzi laughed.

"No, you clear out, us hyenas need this meat, and if not, we might make you our next meal," she threatened. Demona figured she could take these mangy mutts on, but the way she looked, her ribs were probably showing. But no way was she gonna take orders from these dog mutts!

She put on a dangerous hiss, back arching. "I say one more time: scram or I claw you to shreds! You don't know what I used to be!"

Shenzi narrowed her eyes, this lioness needs to be taught a lesson. So with that, she bared her teeth.

"Banzai, Ed, give her the lesson of her life," she ordered, and Demona kept growling warnings, as the two males closed in on her.

Banzai leapt onto her back, and Demona shouted out in pain as the teeth bit into her shoulder. Heaving, she threw him off, only to be scratched by Ed.

Banzai made another attack, biting her front foot, and making her fall over, Shenzi stalking forward, and planting her paw on Demona's face, the former gargess growling and struggling to swipe at the female hyena, but she was pinned by the other two, and her front paw felt broken. This was so humiliating!

"And now, to make sure you don't touch our food again..." Shenzi said sharply, readying her claws to scratch Demona. Demona glared hard up at her enemy, trying to find a way out of this.

That was when a huge roar echoed in the air, making Ed jerk up sharply in fear, as a large form knocked him away from Demona. Shenzi's eyes widened as another lion came with a bright red mane, baring his teeth, while Demona made an attempt to pull away from those hyenas.

"You are trespassing the Pridelands, Shenzi." Growled the male lion in a deep voice.

"M-Mufasa, we can explain, she was eating our share!" Shenzi stuttered.

"That's no excuse, she found it first, and you three aren't welcome, now go back to the Outlands," the male said in a commanding tone, giving a huge roar that made Demona's fur stand on end, causing the hyenas to yelp and run off.

Demona flinched from her sore paw and back, as the male lion watched her with concern.

"Are you alright? You're hurt," he asked, but Demona ignored him, licking her paw.

"Just leave me be, I didn't need help, and I need nobody's pity, I'm fine," she mumbled dryly. The male lion just grinned.

"You need medicine, young one. I'll take you to Rafiki, our healer," he said humorously. Demona eyed him with a raised brow.

"You won't give up, will you?" She said in irritation, still finding it weird she was talking to animals right now. The male shook his head. With that, she reluctantly agreed to come, limping and following her rescuer to whatever madness lay in store.
