You smiled and patted the adorable demon's head with a kind look.
"Nezuko what is it?", you asked whilst stroking her hair gently.
She sat on your lap facing you and held your face.
"Eh?", your face turned to a deep red from the sudden action,"N-Nezuko?".
She then smiled and hugged you with a cute sound.
You hugged her back and gave out a sigh,"sometimes you make me look like an idiot you know", you chuckled.
She blinked a couple of times at you and stood up, then she turned into her little form.

So cute!

You looked down onto her now petite body with awe.
"You're so cute like this!", you picked her up with swift arms and held her in your arms.
"Mmph", she nuzzled her face onto yours.
"Huh?"
Suddenly she grabbed both sides of your face and gave a peck on your cheek against the bamboo that was restricting her.

You became flustered and surprised,"t-thank you", you stuttered whilst rubbing your cheek where she placed the delicate kiss.
She smiled again and then increased in size.
"N-nezu-", you were prevented from speaking by her tackling you onto the ground,"ah!".
You fell onto a futon and she began laughing a bit.
"That hurt", you rubbed the back of your head, the cute demon came closer towards you and back hugged you.
"You're really needy today!", you exclaimed whilst a smile crept onto your face.
She nodded and cuddled tightly against you, the warmth of you comforted her.

"Ok then", you quietly said and wrapped your arms around her.

The both of you shared a beautiful bond. A friendship, a relationship, a family. It was definitely a bond that blossomed the brightest out of all, and how it became the brightest started off from an odd encounter. I suppose you could call it 'fate' or 'destiny'.

F L A S H B A C K

"Ugh!", you tackled the mighty demon barely and struggled to take a deep successful wound.

Dammit

Quickly you used your breath style before it could tear you into two.

"Breath of dragon, first form: Mighty wings of heaven!".
The attack blocked the demon's attack and you were able to catch it off guard, with this opening you cut the demon's head cleanly.

"Finally...", you sighed and sat down exhausted from the fight.

Snap

You snapped your head towards the sound and took a defensive stance.

"Who's there?!", you questioned with furrowed eyebrows.

"H-hey it's fine", a young boy with burgundy hair came out and gave a nervous smile alongside two other boys around his age,"we're just along our mission and we came across you".

You have a suspicious look and whilst analysing them you could sense a demon very near.

"There's a demon near",you looked around,"it seems to be towards your direction".
You glared towards them.
The burgundy boy was visibly nervous and the other two anxious.
"Where is it?", you questioned," I know you guys know that disgusting demon's location", you harshly stated.
"Now!", you demanded.
"L-look its a bit complicated!", the burgundy boy said,"that the demon you're talking about is actually...with me...in this box".
You widened your eyes with anger," you're protecting a demon?", you asked.
"Y-Yes, it's my sister", he explained.
"Sister or not, it's still a demon and demons must be killed", you sternly said and drew your nichirin sword out.
"Wait! Please just let me show you that it's a good one!", he pleaded now kneeling on the ground," I know that it sounds absurd but please, she's a good demon she hasn't eaten anyone since she became one!".

It was silent and you gave out an annoyed sigh,"ok,show me", you demanded.
The hanafuda earring boy placed the box onto the floor and opened the box carefully.

Some time passed by and you became impatient because the demon wasn't coming out.
"Ugh if it's not going to come out then-", you stomped towards the box and froze.
It definitely was a demon...but she had the pinkest of all eyes and the softest gaze with long silky beautiful hair. You gulped.

"I-is this the demon?", you questioned thinking on how a demon could be that pretty.
The hanafuda earrings boy nodded. Then the little demon came out of the box and stood up revealing her petite and delicate figure, you became flustered and embarrassed because of how cutely she was looking at you.
"A-are you sure?", you definitely knew it was the demon that you sensed but you didn't know it was going to look like this.
"Yes"
You looked at the demon with furrowed eyebrows and it stared back with a blank expression, then it smiled with glee and ran up towards you.
Oddly, you didn't avoided her or even attacked her, you let the demon run up towards you. Suddenly, a rush of warmth took your entire body. It was the demon. Hugging you and staring at you with those pair of enchanting eyes.

How pretty.

You turned away embarrassed.
"I'll let her live", you stated.
